They sent a letter stating that if I had a credit then
they would send it. They did not send an itemized letter showing where the
money went or how it was being applied. I guess, I am just supposed to take
their word for it. This letter is unsatisfactory for me. I would like something
explaining where the money went and why I do not get a credit?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I received the businesses response directly through email, as they prefer not to respond through the Revdex.com system for reasons I don't fully understand. The response I received from them remains unsatisfactory. They do not acknowledge the additional rental car expenses that I have shown proven documentation for, and refuse to reimburse me for those. They also still refuse to adhere to California insurance compliance laws in regards to Loss of Use. Mainly California law provides that the at fault party provide a replacement vehicle of similar class and capability to the damaged vehicle OR financial compensation equal to the cost to rent such a vehicle for the FULL duration of the time of the repairs. They not only put me in a lower class, less capable vehicle, they are refusing to pay for the full duration of the vehicle that was provided. Instead they choose to blame the body shop and say that the body shop made an agreement to pay for the rental, but that is simply not true. At the end of the day I am stuck with a large expense from Enterprise rental car, and no compensation for driving an inferior vehicle for 5+ months. A ford explorer that gets 20Mpg is not similar vehicle to a premium Audi SUV with a hybrid drive train that gets 34Mpg. This was the only vehicle ever offered me. My premium car that I worked hard to own was not able to be used by me for nearly half a year because of the delays and mis-handling of this claim by American Family, and they are refusing to provide additional compensation for this which is in noncompliance with California Laws.

One more time I am writing to express my disappointment with American Family Insurance. This is week six since I reported this accident, and American Family has not been able to resolve the matter. I have done everything that I have been asked to do: the vehicle is at their salvage yard; the car title is with the salvage yard title department; etc. Yet, American Family does not seem to have the willingness to make a settlement. My car rental expenses are increasing every week, and I am at more than a $1,000.00 worth of auto rental expenses. American Family still has not made any move to help me in the auto rental expenses. I am very, very frustrated where I am, but I don't know what to do next. I have, against my will, applied and obtained an auto loan, and I am now beginning to shop for another vehicle.I am giving up the fight at this point, and I very much thank Revdex.com for the tremendous effort that Revdex.com have made to see this matter resolved.
