After cancelling my service with ADT, the organization is trying to collect monies due to early termination of contract
On June 13th, 2016, ADT came out to transfer & install their security equipment into my new house This was a transfer from my previous house in Flower Mound During my conversation with the ADT installation tech, I was informed that not only were the motion detectors I purchased from ADT not designed for pets, they were installed upside down at my previous home to disguise this erroneous sale so they would not pick up the pets After asking the tech to please leave, I immediately called ADT and cancelled my service, with the understanding that I would not ask for a refund and ADT would withdraw their contract terms I have since received a bill for for contract termination I have spoken with a supervisor today, who has indicated that ADT has no record of this conversation that took place on June 13th
CONTACTED ADT TO CANCEL AND WAS TOLD BY REPRESENTATIVES THAT MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN CANCELED I THEN ASKED WHY AM I BEING BILLED??
I HAVE BEEN AN ADT CUSTOMER FOR MANY YEARS AND AFTER NOT USING THE SYSTEM FOR AWHILE I DECIDED IT MADE NO SENSE TO CONTINUE TO PAY SO I CONTACTED THEM AT XXX-XXX-XXXX TO CANCELI WAS TOLD BY THE FIRST REP NAMED WESLEY THAT I HAD NO ACCOUNT WITH ADT AND THAT IT HAD BEEN CANCELED SOMETIME BACK I ASKED HIM THEN WHY AM I RECEIVING A BILL HE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR MINUTES AND CAME BACK AND SAID HE FOUND THE ACCOUNT AND THAT HE WOULD NEED TO XFER ME TO A DIFFERENT DEPT TO COMPLETE THE CANCELLATION PROCESS AFTER ANOTHER MINUTE HOLD A FEMALE REP CAME ON THE LINE AND TOLD ME A SECOND TIME THAT I DO NOT OR MUST HAVE ALREADY CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT WITH ADT I ASKED THEN WHY AM I RECEIVING A BILL AND WHERE HAS ALL MY MONEY BEEN GOING TO ALL THESE YEARS??? SHE COULDNT GIVE ME AN INTELLIGIBLE RESPONSE BUT STATES I NEED TO PAY THE ON MY BILL FOR SERVI

We called ADT and the representative told us that we can request claim after we make payment to the City We tried to get this
waived and updated ADT, but City finally decided not to waive
We called ADT and they asked me to make payment to City and then send them a invoice
NOW ADT refuses to make payment to us and incorrectly are checking with City of *** rather that City of ***
So far, we have really enjoyed the servicesExcellent technicians and reps that will work with you to find the best deal for your needsIf something goes wrong, I can call them up and they will try to troubleshoot while on the phone; if it cannot be fixed, they will send someone out
We experienced a burglary (rental property), and they rushed to install so our child could feel safeWhen we moved, they again scheduled for a quick install of cameras
The people we met with were wonderful as well as their technicians over the phone
I signed up with ADT in I sold my house in and asked to move my services to a new locationI got a house built so I spent months with a family memberDuring that months I was charged for the service even though I wasn't using itThey will not refund me the money or apply it to the new accountNow that I have the service set up in a new house, they want me to sign another month contract because they say that I am "starting over" in a new homeHowever, I was consistently charged for the service for over a yearThey can either apply the money that I spent to this new account OR they can shorten the contract the give me grace for the time that I've already been a customerMaking it mandatory for me to sign another month contract is absolutely ridiculous

THEY STEAL FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNTDO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATIONBEVAUSE ONCE YOU DO, THEY WILL GIVE YOU A GAP FOR DAYS AFTER SET UP TO CANCEL BUT AFTER YOU CANCEL THEY WILL KEEP TAKING MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT
I canceled my policy with bulldog's security (party) and they told me they will take care of it for meI have called to ADT corporation office times since then and they still telling me my policy is NOT cancelled YET!!!!!!
no one is helpful and they do not know what they are doingthey promise you to help you but they never do
they DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU! THEY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY COMES OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT!!!
I call to get a quot and was greeted by a very pleasant repHe helping create a perfect package to protect my family the way we neededI asked if I could talk it over with my fianceHe said yes the quot was saved for hoursAfter talking it over we called the number providedevery time I tried to give anyone the reference number he gave me they would cut me offAfter being transferred five or six times, repeating my address, phone number and email I finally reach another representative who confirmed my orderHowever he said that the agreed upon installation date and time was no possible and told me a different payment situationThen he got his manager who told me everything in my order was wrongI could not do the things I was told I could do in the first place at the cost I was quotedThen I tried to thank her and tell her that this was not the security option for meShe then started yelling and arguing with me about what I actually needtelling me that she was an expert in her field and that I don't know what I need and I just need to listen to herI did not want the product and after arguing with her for several moments I simply ended the callI have never been treated so poorly in my lifeI have worked at a call center and have never talked to another human the way she did meWe are going with a different companyMight cost a bit more but they are better suited to deal with general public
My experience thus far is that in the first month of service with ADT they are on top of their game for customer service; I was grateful of the service in the beginning; Remember that the first days is the only time you can cancel your contract WITHOUT 75% of the rest of your signed contract
After the first 30days my bike was stolen off my back porch(ADT doesn't protect that) & I'm definitely not paying $1,000+ to replace that
ADT agent told me the signs change every year(obviously not ð???), also made aware after the first days that agent had quitAwesome
ADT increased my bill without notice, they control the bill, no matter the cause, it was increased by themI have paid my bill on time & in full every month as it's on AUTOPAY & here comes a big ol slap at the end of the year for a service fee and permit

This is the absolute worst home monitoring business I have ever dealt withAfter being with them for years I was moving and called to request a transfer of services as I had just recently upgraded my system and was committed to another year of service with themDuring my phone call I was advised that it wasn't as simple as transferring my servicesI was told I had to leave all equipment installed at the old address (I'm going to go ahead and assume that this is just a shady way of attempting to attain more business from the new home owners) and a technician would have to come out and assess the new propertyOk ADT fine...whatever you sayUpon meeting with the technician at the new house....he did his so-called assessment and informed me that the new install would cost 1700$ and I would be committing to a new three year contractHa! UnbelievableI originally decided to bite the bullet and pay the 945$ cancellation penalty....rather than pay 1700$ for the install and 50$/month for a cheaper package at the new address....I was receiving more at my old address for 39$/month...the original install there was 300$!

I was lucky to find someone who wanted to take over my contract and got out of this mess unharmed financiallyI currently have my home monitoring services with Rogers smart home monitoring! Great service as long as you have a good internet connection! Smart bulbs, smart thermostat, cameras with 24/monitoring and recording, door locks, motion and door sensors....all for 0$ installation and 34.99/monthAND...I can unplug everything and take it with me when I move at no costyear contract

Horrible customer service they refuse to let you speak to a supervisor they refuse to refund you your money when they double draft your account I cancelled service and the lady I spoke to was extremely rude she put me on a silent hold came back said its been done and hung up I called back for my refund of one supervisor said days another said they put it on hold till the 16th here we are the 17th and they still haven't refunded me my money they lie to you they decieve there customers and make sure you know that if your sensors breaks off and you can't find it they will charge you an arm and leg to fix if your better off switching companies they also raise your rate and do not notify you and when you call they give you this big speech and swear they sent you out a letter the sad part of all this your paying more money but your service still the old system while your paying the same price as new customers the new customers have upgraded systmes with panel that csn be controlled by phone cameras all the works also if you want to upgrade to what those customers have better be prepared to pay over dollars

-Put a hole in my wall and just left it when they couldn't run the wire threw
-Called Tom *** a few times after it was installed with no response
*Requested a service call to fix the wiring and outdoor cameras
-ADT guy came out said it was too big of a job would have to come back
-Another appointment, same service call guys came back and fixed it after confirming everything was fine we realized how tightly the were pulled and obstructed under the steps The box ended up having to sit under my computer monitor After they left we did a full walk
Went with ADT because of all the positive feedback we hardWorst decision, it's been nothing but a headache since we've had it installedFirst the guy who installed it did something wrong so adt had someone else come out to fix itThen we had weeks, yes FIVEWhere the alarm would go off in the middle of the night every night for minutesAnd every night id call and they would ask me to read the error and say it'll be fixed by tomorrowFinally after me calling every time for weeks straight they sent someone outGuy came out to fix the issueLeft my system worse than when he got thereNever reset up our cameraAdt sent another technician out the next dayHe fixed the system and had us up and running, but little did we know it was temporaryNow we've gone just over weeks without our system working properlyOur pulse logins do not work they say we're not active on pulse, yet ADT takes our $a month for the system that we can't even use!!! Called and they said they would send someone out on the 4th of JulyI kind of chuckled like someone would come out in a holidayI waited and waited between 8-no one cameI even sat in our front yardThe next morning when I went to leave there was a note saying they had come between XX-XXXXam I'd love to know where this imaginary person came to and how they got around me sitting outside by my door!
