I was not provide the service that I paid for
On August 15, 2017, I contacted ADT because I returned home from work and my alarm was not onI contacted ADT to see if they could tell me if the alarm was disarmed during the dayI was told by the representative that she could not provide that information because there had been no "communication" response from my system since May 12, I asked what ADT's procedure was when that happensAt that time, the representative stated that I should have received an automated phone call stating there was an issue with my system and to call ADTThe representative also stated that it showed that I did not receive a phone call at any timeSince my system armed and disarmed the same as it has since I have had the system (for years), there was no indication that there was a problemI also did not receive any messages on my key padThe represented informed me that my home was not being monitored during this month period and if my family a

Two different salesman used unethical tactics to sell products and services at our residence
We recently purchased a homeAt 8:30pm, at the end of a long moving day, an ADT salesman arrived at our door and told our teenaged son's girlfriend he was there to "follow up on closing." When I went to greet him, he made it sound like he was working with the mortgage company, asked for entry into the home, and then attempted to use scare tactics and "one day only" attempts to gain our business, despite the fact my husband repeatedly told him it was not a good timeWe were still carrying in boxes and trying to warm up dinner for hungry family members
A few weeks later, another sales drove up in front of our home at 8:30pm, walked to the door, and told us he was in the area upgrading systemsWhen my husband told him we already had a security system being installed through another recommended company, he proceeded to question us, and then argue, even though we told him we had no interes

I would give this company zero stars if I couldThey are overpriced, they have a customer service department that does not provide good service, and their technicians are incompetent when it comes to installing and setting up equipment properly
I moved from one house to another, and had a $108.xx Credit on my old account, (you pay months up front, then they took another payment the day before they closed the account.)Then received a bill showing the Credit and a 'cancellation fee' of $125.xxCalled and was promised it was fixed, but instead of a refund in my account for what they owed me, (yes they took another months out,) they gave me back $1.07, that's right, 1% returnI am calling again, and if this continues I will have the equipment removed from my propertySick and tired of companies trying to take advantage of people

On February 26, there was a break in at my sneaker boutiqueI found out there had been a break in because on of the owners from a neighboring business called me when they arrived at their store and saw the damagesI was using ADT's Pulse security service under the assumption that if something like this was to happen the alarm system would sound off, I would be contacted, the police would be notified, and police units would be dispatched, but that was not the case

Deceptive practices from the beginningDo not do business with ADTAfter receiving a pamphlet in the mail saying 19.99$ for the first months, and regular price thereafter for two more years I called ADT sales departmentAfter a tedious questioning - on my part - I was transferred to the manager who assured me that I would get the 19.99$ a month for the fist months, then 38.99$ plus tax for the next two year, a 99$ installation fee with a 100$ gift cardThe manager was pressuring to have a technician come the next for installationI told him that I just wanted to have someone do an estimate of what could be done and at what price before I'd commit to anything in a contractThen after the evaluation and agreed upon details of a contract I would have ADT install their equipment and start their service at the end of the monthThe manager agreedI agreed to have the technician do an estimate two days laterThe day the technician came, he had equipment in hand ready to installI had to remind him of my phone call with the sales manager and that I wanted to make sure that I would get what ADT claimed they could provide in the publicity before any work could be startedThe technician applied pressure sales tacticsI had him finally admit that he was pushed by ADT to do itTheir tactics are called "educating the customers of the FtKnox security protection options"I understood the man had to do his job; I listen but stuck to my guns; 19.99$ first months with 38.99$ a months thereafterThe technician spent most of the hours long "installation" over the phone with his manager followed by business deal conversations with me telling me that he (the technician) would personally give me a good dealI insisted that I did not want a good deal from him, but just what I was told over the phone two days priorMake the story short, I signed a contract for 19.95$ for the first months followed by 48.99$ a months for two more years due to some incompatibility in technology And the contract would have to start right away and not at the end of the month as I initially agreed over the phone
Then I received the first bill - conveniently sent after the day try-out period - from ADT87$not the 19.95$ plus tax a month I had signed for on the little tablet the technician had me signI quickly realized through ADT "customer" service that I had to call a third party company - Defender Security - I had dealt withAt no time was I told by the technician that he was from Defender Security; on the contrary, he told me he had been working for ADT for over one yearOver the phone with the defender Security consultant, she told me that whatever I signed the day of the installation was not a contract but a mere Order Summary and that the contract stated differentlyDespite explaining to her that I had clearly signed for a 19.95$ for months followed by 48.99$ for months with 99$ installation fee with 100$ gift card (to compensate for installation) as seen in the Order Summary, she found a obscure reason to invalidate the agreement ADT had me sign with themTo make the story short I felt like being in the movie Idiocracy having to explain that water is good for plants while hearing someone else tell me that Brando was great because it had electrolytesthe conversation lead to being informed that the day try-out period was over and that I would have to pay 75% of the amount of the year contract to get out of the criminal contract
In conclusion, this dealing with ADT was misleading - to say the least -from the beginning to the end; pressure tactics called "educating the customer", the technician telling you that he is going to "do me a favor" to make sure you get what you were told over the phone by a sales manager, to simply criminal billing practice billing higher terms than previously agreed upon

I had an incident in front of my house where my neighbors car got broken intoHeard noises at night in front of the house but when I looked in for the camera recording, system was failing and not recording at all In the morning one of the cars windows was smashed
I have informed them of the incident and it was confirmed by them after reviewing it on their end
The supervisor himself gave me $credit
I expressed my dissatisfaction of the amount and their response I am paying $a month to protect my house and my family and they were not able to deliver on the contract promise or the service that I am paying for $a month Plus a large amount of down payment
I request $credit or a cancellation of the contract without any further obligations
Please help me out to resolve the issue with ADT which failed to fulfill their part of the contract and deliver protection and security to my family and property

ADT came to my home months ago and I purchased what I thought and was told to be a year contract for alarm service on a temporary residence (I had been with them for years at a prior address, *** *** *** *** *** All was good until I stopped service at my temporary address ** *** *** in *** *** and ADT said then that I had a year contract which I disputed but reluctantly agreed to a negotiated smaller amount and I assumed was overADT has continued to bill me in the meantime and just sent me a letter stating that the monthly rate was going upI had assumed that my service was stopped yet they continued to withdraw money from my account! They are supplying service to no one yet they continued to charge my credit card

I am moving out of the countryCalled ADT and my new location is not eligible for ADT serviceSo that leaves the only options of cancelling serviceHowever, I am still being charged the feeThis seems unethical and I don't believe companies should be allowed to do thatI would understand if I was being charged the fee if ADT was available as I was choosing to not use the services But you guys don't offer services, so I am not allowed to transfer it to another propertySo it is not right for me to be charged over $for the lack of ADT infrastructure where I am goingThe charge in itself is very excessive
ADT will not cease to discontinue billing me after call to them to disconnect service
Three calls were made to ADT customer service, at XXX-XXX-XXXX- one in March 2016, again in April 2016, and a third time in May I stated we had moved and did not have need for their service(s) anymore
Each time the company rep responded that they would disconnect and stop billingOn the April call, they added that I was due a refund and would get it to meNo action from them!
As I have no deed for their service at this time, why are they not doing what they said they would do, and stop billing me
Please have them finish the job they said they would do

Unscrupulous door-to-door solicitation of the elderly: My 90+ year old parents had a salesman push their "free" security unit on them while we were awayThey are easily confused and never even remembered signing a contract, much less any details it containedIt took my brother many transfers up the phone chain with ADT to take care of it, and It took repeated accusations of financial elder abuse to get them to drop the hefty cancellation penalty
NO COMPANY should be doing business this way
ADT is back door scammers...do not sign a contract with them there is lack of communication on all levels of adt...they tell you one thing and then after a day grace period everything comes out permit fee which the tech tells you its covered..they do pay it but they want you to pay them backThen they tell you one price over the phone then when they come out it is a massive difference then what was told over the phoneI am highly disappointed in this company..and do not try to cancel because you will owe the 75% of the balance due...this company does not have to worry I will be letting everyone know that they are frauds
I called the ADT phone I received on an ad mailed to my home advertising a special of $27.99/month for years I called ADT and the salesperson that took my call represented himself as an ADT employee I was not sure if I wanted ADT service because of the higher fees compared to other equipment you can install yourselfHowever, I was assured I would get a monthly rate of $for the years and that it would NEVER go up after the years I was still skeptical, but went ahead and scheduled an appointment for the following day I was moving into a new home and I wanted ADT to secure my home
The ADT technicians arrived on 12/26/2017, and they did a "walk-through" of my home and presented me a quote of equipment price and monthly plan of $ I selected only part of the equipment for an on-site purchase price of $dollars I asked the technicians repeatedly if the fee was $per month I was repeatedly assured that YES, the monthly fee would only be $27.99/month I had my mother there as a witness and she agreed to having everything installed, we paid the $for the equipment, and the techs began installation I was never presented any other service plan or equipment or given any other options on plans, etc I was happy with what I was presented in my home and was demonstrated in my home with sensors displayed on my windows and doors Before the installation, the techs showed me the keypad I would get, the sensors, and the motion sensors All for $27.99/month and the best part was I was told I would not require a land line!! I was so happy to get this as I have no use for a land line and I did not want to accrue an additional $30/month to my security expense
Additionally, I was asked to pay $for the pro-rated month and another month's service I paid that the same day as well
Within a few weeks, I receive my first invoice from ADT for a monthly rate of $ The rate was NOT $and I immediately called ADT I was told that the service was installed by one of their Third-Party affiliates that they use and I would have to contact them I had never heard of this company, the techs that came out to my home had ADT shirts and ADT identification cards with a picture on it and were driving an ADT vehicleI called this 3rd party affiliate and was told that the system in my home was not $27.99/month but rather $50ish dollars a month I was told that the equipment I bought was for a different and more expensive plan I told the service rep that I was never presented with any other equipment or service plans with different rates other than the $plan They would not honor my rate or what they brought into my home
I have been back & forth with ADT directly and this "3rd party affiliate" for weeks now, the invoice is now past due and NOTHING has been resolved I told ADT that they should honor what they sold me for the rate I asked for but they have refused to do so I have had ADT service for many years and I am extremely disappointed in this service and most of all, them not honoring what I was sold Regardless of whatever ADT's 3rd-party affiliate sold me, ADT should be responsible for this company's error and give me what they offered me They are committing fraud in advertisement and are misrepresenting ADT's services In the end, all I am asking for is for the rate I asked for and to keep the equipment that was sold to me That is another issue I forgot to add, ADT is telling me the equipment I bought is not for the $rate and the techs would have to come out and change my equipment too! I am tired of this back & forth game with ADT and nothing being resolved I will go to other superiors to see what can be done for this fraud sale

We called for several months regarding a faulty alarmNo one came to the residence to fix itI also called the installer to come back to fix itNo one would fix it!! The alarm just kept going off because of the wind blowingI would not use this alarm system nor anyone associated with themAll they want is your moneyI spent dollars for the install and after they run your credit card you can not get any service on your alarm.they always have excuses or do not showThey also play little tricks like oh "you didn't call in but your husband did" so that doesn't count on the number of times your household requested service!! In July I began an account with ADTIt was recommended that I utilize the Cloud system with an internet service provider OptimumIt has been a comedy of errors on part of Optimum and ADT who do not play well together and always blaming each other for any error in serviceFirst, we needed several visits for just installation and making the product workRealize that I am not a technician and told several times to fix an access problem aloneSometimes you get lucky and have a person who is patient enough to assistThe main problem with ADT is their customer serviceIn the time I have had this account and called maybe three or four times it literally takes 45-minutes just to get an operatorTheir automated keeps quoting about their excellent service yet you stay on holdToday I called and after being placed on hold for about an hour I was transferred to the camera department and in turn to another automated service which I later learned was BrivoI left a message for access to my administrative log inThe original contract was scribbled in and is unreadable
In February my camera was out pretty much just about twenty days of the monthI tried to call to notify ADT and was told to collect dates and call backBy the time I got around to it March was hereIt appears after thirty days this information is not available
Since last year I had another security device placed in my home in another property and decided not to go with ADTI chose SlominsSo far the customer service is good and thinking about expanding the serviceLastly, the contract originally sign says I received training on certain aspects of this system which I never didI also needed the insurance certificate and was never able to access this via their website
