I moved to a new home and I was unable to cancel the service due to the year contractSo they told me I could move the service at the same monthly rate and deal that I originally got at my prior home (much larger than our new home by at least square feet) so when they sent the tech to our new residence they said it would be required to start another year contract ! And wanted to charge me per window -the total cost with Windows and activation was over $plus another contractI paid less than half of this in *** for a much larger home and why would I want to start a contract a new? When I called and asked to speak to a manager they offered absolutely NOTHING They do not care about anything when you move and do not make the process easy by any meansMy mother had the exact same thing happen to herI'm so disappointed that a company this big could offer me nothing The company is great unless u ever move to a new locationBe aware of that and of the lengthy contr

I have been a customer of ADT for years I have been very disappointed in their customer service and alarm response over the last year My system is not working properly and I have had technicians out multiple times with no success resulting in alarms ADT just continues to send out new technicians with no problem solution In addition a recent alarm resulted in ADT calling the police despite being told not to call the police and a failure to contact the "contact" persons on their list after no answer on the second call Finally, they hold you hostage with their contracts...in order to terminate service I would have to buy out the contractmonths at over $ I do plan to terminate the plan next year and would recommend anyone using this company think twice about it....the company has grown too large, lacks sufficient training of staff (including addressing disabilities such as hearing), and fails to follow their own procedures

ADT is not friendly to long-time customers When you are a new customer, they are happy to have you then when you have equipment problems (mine hasn't worked properly for years), they can't guarantee they will be able to fix it or even give an estimate of how much it will cost without paying a service fee They knew what the problem was and it wasn't a mystery how much window sensors cost (for them) it shouldn't have been that difficult to get an answer on why something has been malfunctioning They just want to send someone out to test and ensure everything is working - well this is exactly what they did in the beginning and it has never worked correctly
Originally I was going to stay with them because it was easier (already had everything installed) and upgrade to home automation with my current system But, after talking to the sales person, they couldn't guarantee they would be able to fix the problems I was having with my window sensors or give me an idea of the cost So, when I called to cancel the upgrade, they told me they couldn't refund my entire amount because a payment would be coming out soon and I would receive the difference after the payment came out Then I decided, why am I even with them, paying for a system that hasn't worked in years? So I cancelled everything and was told I would receive the entire amount Well, guess what, I didn't receive the entire amount, they still took out a payment, even though the agent promised me he had cancelled all payments and removed a payment source when he canceled my service
So, now I don't even know if they did cancel my service since it will take a MONTH to get a confirmation letter
Super dissatisfied and nobody offered to make things right about fixing my system until I told them I was cancelling service - only thing they care about
Oh, now after an hour on chat, they are telling me I need to talk with someone else I hate ADT and will never use them again! If this does not get resolved, I will be filing an official complaint

ADT falsely advertised a promotion and failed to offer a compatible package for me as a currebt custoner of years
On March 27, I contacted ADT because of a flyer that I had received in the mail offering a deal of $month payment with the purchase of Alarm Monitoring servicesThe flyer stated that the customer would receive a free security system at no cost for parts and activation and all for $installation fee and the purchase of Alarm Monitoring servicesThe flyer continued to offer free bonus offers of $Visa gift card, free wireless remote control, door window sensors, and free digital camera
Since I am currently a customer of ADT for a little over years now, I thought maybe they would not offer me this promotional flyer they promoted, but that they would offer me at least a compatible offer in order to stay as a customer since I am no longer under contract and that I could leave at any time for another company

Representatives have conflicting billing information, lie about doing things and make unauthorized charges
March 13th I was informed that due to a past due balance, I would automatically be charged the full $balance instead of the monthly amount of $54~March 14th, I make a payment of $of the $balanceI called the company to remove myself from autopay since calling is the only way to do soOn Mar 31st, I was still automatically charged $162.10, the remainder of the past due balanceOn April 3rd, I called to cancel my services and to get a refund credit for the unauthorized amount taken from my cardThey said they would start the refund process, it would take 3-business days and that I would be charged a cancellation fee for cancellingI asked for documentation to support their claimThe email I received from them as proof showed a contract start date of 11/14/which would be well out of a year contract rangeI went through the cancellation process

Received Collection letter from *** *** *** regarding a balance of they say is due to ADT Security SystemsBalance was paid in full every month through auto payThirty day written notice was given to ADT for cancelation of services to monitor property at ** *** *** *** ** XXXXXMonitoring system was turned off by ADT Deed In lieu to home were traded to bank because of husband39s death forcing move from property thus the need to cancel ADT security system with the day written notice

Recently I had my services moved to another addressI was supposed to receive a refund and have it refunded back to my bank account with in to business days My services were installed on 4/28/that's when the refund was supposed to be issuedI did not receive my refund yet today is 5/15/between 4/28/and 5/15/I called them times and every time I called no one gave me the same answerI called today to see were my refund was and they told me that they sent out a check on Friday 5/12/to a address that I don't receive mail atAfter being told that the money was going to be eletronicly debited back to my account they told me they cant do that they have to send out a checkIf I owed ADT money I would get charged with late feesI want my refund and I want months of free service for all the problems they have caused

We are being build for install and service fees when service was not installed
ADT came out Feb 10th to discuss a home security system We we were not sure we wanted a system but if we did, we stated that we wanted the wired special for $ We had no time that day for the install so we asked the ADT person to leave All the ADT sales guy cared about was getting in trouble with his company Service was not installed but equipment was left at our house No contract was signed and no agreement for install or service was signed We saw on our credit card that the company billed us so we called soon after Feb 10th and were told by LaQuisha ID XXXXX that we would be credited back for everything with ADT and the account was cancelled On Feb 24th we spoke with Dana at *** and Cierra the Accounts Services manager and were told we would be credited the $install fee plus the monthly service fees incurred We were told that we would be credited back for everything charged

Cancellation Issue of ADT Security Services
I have been with ADT since 2010- My account Number is XXXXXXX and I originally signed a year agreement with them and that contract expired On 2014, I had an installer come in and also work on the keypad and sensors since the alarm was not working properly I let ADT know that I wanted to be on a month to month contract I called several times throughout and that the alarm was not working properly and they assured me that everything was fine on their end on March 2016, I called to let them know that I sold my home and the alarm never worked properly anyway and that I wanted to cancel the contract and they assured me on several occasions that I was on a month to month contract and there would be no fees I asked them if they could email me something in writing and they said they were unable to do this I let them know that I want to be certain that it would be a balance because I would have the new owners reimburse me f

In May I called ADT to cancel my service When asked why I stated I was having financial difficulty The Representative offered months continued service for free since I was a ling time customer I advised the Representative that I would like to be contacted by mail at the end of the free service to advice them if I wanted to reinstate my account I also advised I want to terminate the auto pay from my checking account I was not contacted further by ADT after that call Last month while doing my taxes I noticed that ADT continued to deduct payments from my checking account after I requested the auto pay terminated I called ADT 1/22/to advise I had cancelled my account and terminated the auto pay I requested the payments deducted without my permission to be refunded to me The Representative placed me on hold and after minutes the call dropped Since I had already gave my reason for
