Awful service the entire time we have had them we have had a technician out every single monthDue to failure of the front door camera not recording system never once worked properly for more then a day and is costing me money every single time I have to sit there and wait for a technician to come outThe people in the customer service don't ever seem to know how to fix anythingWhen you ask about your contract you get the run aroundWhen you ask for a supervisor they either tell you they will have one call you (never does), they hang up on you, or they claim they are a supervisor and nothing gets resolved when you ask for someone else because they are rude your phone disconnects once againIve had a man try to get into my home and the camera didn't work, they say Ive used all my recordings when we were never told we had a limit when we got the service so no video of the guy trying to break inHad my home alarm go off and never received a call and/or emergency services (did not come to my home) Do not I repeat do not use this company because your life may literally rely on people/and services that are defective and do not work

Do yourself a favor and stay awayADT does not inform you that they are setting you up through a third partyI was planning to sell my home soon and asked about that before installingI was told that s long as the new homeowner set up a system the services would just transfer with no penalties to meHowever, when it came time for that their story changedApparently, ADT sells back your contract to safe streets when you cancel and safe streets is a shady company with nothing but bad reviewsThey are trying to charge me dollars even though the new homeowner set up services

After fulfilling my three year contract, I called to cancel our ADT security service Now, I cannot get ADT to stop billing me

I called ADT to cancel my security service that I have had for approximately years It was an absolute fiasco They had my account linked to an old account They told me I didn't have service at my current location where I've lived for years After an hour on the phone, I was promised that they could only unlink my accounts by cancelling my current service They were adamant that that was my only option I agreed because I need my current service cancelled Interestingly, they couldn't give me a confirmation number or an email confirmation I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I CANNOT RECOMMEND ADT TO ANYONE This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had

As a new home owner, I made the mistake of letting myself get talked into buying a home security system by an ADT sales representative who came to my doorI am writing this review in the hope of preventing others from making the same mistake I didThe contract I now find myself in and the monthly payments I will need to make for three years is completely my own fault for making a poor decision as a consumerI have found my ADT service to be over priced and unnecessaryMy advice for new home owners: When an ADT sales representative comes to your house, don't worry yourself over talk of bumper keys and burglaries, different contract options, and taking advantage of the new home owner "deal" before it is too late simply don't answer the door

I have been a customer of ADT Security Service for the past year During this time I have had a problem with one particular sensor failing I have repeatedly asked for help in resolving this problem ADT's solution is to replace the batter Each batter costs $ During this year I have replace the batter in that sensor times All the other sensors are still using the original battery I contacted the VP in charge of this group, when the local people would not help, but he has not replied

ADT is also protection I ordered a system from the company complete with alarm, outdoor cameras, and a video doorbell I paid $deposit which I was told would eventually go toward the system if I kept it or if I decide I didn't want to keep the system I can return it and receive a full refund of my deposit I received a DIY system and was told to just try it for days if u don't like it then you will still receive your refund They added that it is very simple to install I never installed the system cause I'm not climbing a ladder to install this I returned system within days This was back in feb They started charging me monthly even tho it was not installed I put down a $deposit to be applied to the acct but they automatically activated the account and used the $for installation and activation No one installed anything and I didn't activate it This company also now say I owe them a $restocking fee and said I forfeited my deposit Do not order anything from these scammers They only want money This is a scam I paid

Contract cancellation fee dispute - per contract my fee should have been waived, it was not
I had ADT installed at my home at ** *** ** in March I was forced to move due to unsafe neighborhood August 29,I called ADT to cancel my service and they said I would owe them $1,or I could have the service moved to my new home I attempted to explain my situation, and she said there was no way I could get the fee waived and that I could not cancel my service with them without paying the amount in full And that as long as my account wasn't canceled I was responsible for the alarm system and any calls that came from it I explained I don't live there anymore and have no access to the home She said it didn't matter and that I must pay in full before they could turn off the system She was the opposite of helpful and in fact was so awful that I ended up in tearsAfter much back and forth she offered to reduce the fee by 50% but I had to pay it while I was on the phon

I'm very unhappy with their deceptive sales practicesWhen I signed up for a security package, I was promised a Visa Gift Card in the amount of $It has been over months and I have seen nothingThe gift card did in fact influence my purchasing decision for home securityI have since written two emails to ADT with no response to eitherI would not recommend them

I have repeatedly called ADT to cancel my contract as well as sent a certified letter through the mailI am still receiving notices saying I owe money when I have asked to cancel my serviceI am not pleased with the customer service I have received from this businessI no longer want this service and have expressed it to ADT repeatedly but have had no success

I had ADT for several years in my home and movedThe new house I moved into already had ADT equipment installed in the house and the previous owners were utilizing ADTI tried to have the service moved over from their name to ours, but ADT told us the equipment was outdated and needed to be replacedThe was a cost of roughly $2,Because we wanted the protection and had been longtime customer of ADT we paid it in several installments
It turns out that it was NOT ADT at all, but one of their contractors who ADT has partnered withIt was a total lie and scam that we needed all new equipment and we could have proceeded with the old equipment
ADT acknowledged this vendor/partner of theirs is less than honest when I called, however, they still partner with them and were not willing to assist me when I called
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE DISHONEST! The only reason they have an A+ rating is because they respond to their complaints in a timely manner, in order to gt the broader picture look at the number of negative complaints (currently 235) vspositive and neutral reviews (14)

Transferred account, from resident to businessADT sales person stated that I will only have the remaining years on the contract

ADT refuses to cancel my security service
I was under contract with ADT for security monitoring systemI have had nothing but problems with this systemI called ADT on July to cancelI was told that the cancellation department was closedI called again on July 6th to cancel and was told to hold on while she contacted the cancellation department as she did not know the procedure to cancelI waited on hold for in excess of minutes before I was disconnectedI waited for a return call which never cameI called again on August 14th and was asked to hold again while she contacted the cancellation departmentI told her that I had no success in holding before and asked that she contact me when she had the cancellation department on the lineShe agreed and I never heard from anyone againI was contacted by ADT on August 21st about my outstanding bill (as I reported the ADT charges on my credit card as fraudulent so Capital One stopped payment) and that they were seeking collecti

ADT provides excellent product named PulseHowever, the security devices & cameras frequently do not workThis requires hours on phone with tech support & additional hours with tech support in your home for long periods of time & repeated attempts to fix the problemsRecently, an ADT repairman told me ADT has built a product that does NOT workThat really bothered me since I have spent about $10,for ADT security devices & camerasIf I stop ADT service & select another security system, I will have to pay for new devices & camerasADT know that & do not care whether my system works correctly or notDO NOT RECOMMEND ADT
