Terrible! Please don't go with ADT they will rip you offThey make BIG promises but don't deliver and promises you "extra credit" but then lie about it on the paper workI'm so glad I read over the agreement and got out of the deal within my first days or else I would've been stuck for years paying way to much money for a terrible serviceAlso the tech is all about the moneyHe/she will up sell you over and over again, they wanna come into your home so it's harder for you to say no to thingsBut then get mad when you tell them noCustomer service is awful! I was told by Regional Mgr that I would be 100% reimbursed for work that my private HVAC person had to do to fix a faulty installation done by ADT
I hired ADT in March to install Nest Thermostat systems in my homeADT hires their own electricians since their techs are not allowed to do Nest installsI had NO problems with our AC or heating prior to this, but, wanted everything to be integrated with our alarm and services that ADT was providingWhen ADT performed the installation, we were not yet living in the home, as we had just purchased itWhen I attempted to move into the home on May 27th (I was weeks pregnant and NY was in the midst of a heat wave), I immediately notified ADT that the AC system was not working and that the Nest thermostat kept reading an errorDue to it being a holiday weekend, ADT said that the soonest they could send a tech to me was on Wed, June 1stI told them this was unacceptable and they agreed to get a tech to my home on Tue, May 31stDue

Very poor customer service never signed up for the automatic billing when you canceled they will still keep taking payments out of your account very bad experience would not recommend this company

I have been a customer of ADT for over years, including AT&T whom they been acquired from, and Security Link I pay for monthly monitoring service Over the years their rates have increased substantially For the past few months, I have received numerous flyers from them advertising a $monthly rate for new customers I was told by them that this was only for new customers However, for my last 3-monthpayment, I paid them $instead of the customary $ I receive calls telling me my account is past due I explain to them why I paid what I didI was told I would have to speak with a supervisor, and each time was put on holdThe line always gets disconnected Since then, I have again been told to hold I ask to have someone call me back"We do not have that capability." "But you called ME!" And their reply: "That's not how it works." I need to cancel my account with them, but

About weeks ago I called Protectron to stop our alarm contract as we are moving into a condo and do not need to have the alarm Protecton told me I couldn't cancel because we had signed a month contractThere is no where on our contract that says months so I disputed it on the phone - they said very clearly it was on the contract They emailed the contract to me and sure enough it was on their copy, but not oursThere were other things on the original copy that were not on ours such as model number that was better than the one we had installed These things were added after we signed the contract with the sales person that came to our door Protectron has said we owe them over $for disconnection because of the contract which we signed We told them we did not want a contract in the very beginning We are moving this week and need this settledthis is fraud and we will consider pressing cha

Horrible system-failing sensors after day of installation

business practice is just screaming scam with their year contract! if my home is broken into and ADT fails i'll sue!

Extremely poor service! Our ADT system, installed in 2016, never worked properly (continual alarms, despite repeated service calls)As a consequence, we decided to never arm the system, and tried to cancelI was extremely rudely advised by a "supervisor" that I could not cancel the service before years, without incurring an enormous penalty
When I called ADT again last month (July, 2018), I was advised that I could cancel with a reasonable penaltyI was also advised that they would continue the service for years at approximately a 60% discount from my $55/month chargeOf course I elected to cancel the service, as the penalty was less than the aggregate cost of continuing
When the service was discontinued (today), the control box started "beeping." I called ADT to ask how to stop this unwanted noise, and was given instructions a) to remove the battery, and, when that did not stop the "beeping," b) to disconnect the transformer, which I could not locate
I then requested a service call to disconnect the system, and was told that ADT will NOT make a service call to disconnect the system
Having removed the cover of the control box, I noted that there appeared to be a plastic horn-like deviceI asked the agent if by cutting the wires to that device this would disable the "beeping." He replied that it wouldI did cut the wires and that did stop the beeping
However, this dis not stop powering the control box, which remains active, though no longer connected to the ADT monitoring system
In my opinion, ADT is irresponsible, untrustworthy and I will advise all of my friends and associates of my poor experience with the company

Upon moving I requested the same security system at my new locationUpon arrival they installed a different system and refuse to correct the issue
January I moved into my new home and upon arrival I was guaranteed that I would have the same system installed as my previous home(Safe Watch 3000) My current home has no landline or cable connections; which limits me to only having satellite internetI was informed by the ADT Tech installing my security system that it would function with satellite internet and would not affect my bandwidth or data capI asked the ADT Tech as to why I wasn't getting the Safe Watch and the Tech stated that ADT no longer supports or installs the system in homesI signed the contract believing that the current system I have would function as explained by the ADT TechAfter sometime I started noticing that all my bandwidth was being drained by the new systemI ended up disconnecting the ADT system from my satellite internet due to my bill bei

ADT is a JOKE!- When I signed up for home services I was told that I could sign up for a year contractA year later when I moved, I was told that I would have to Re-Start my contract over and I would be in a year contract and the ONLY way to get out of the contract was to pay 75% of the contract My advice to anyone living in a one year lease is to NOT Use ADT servicesThe last thing I would like to say about ADT is that, they will offer you a $Gift Card, but beware; the Gift Card is going to cost you $to receive itADT YOU SUCK! ;

After being an ADT customer for just months, we were broken into on New Years dayThe company initially told me that my two-way speaker system would allow them to hear if there was an intruder in our home and be able to dispatch police with a confirmed break inFALSEInstead, they called me to tell me there was a confirmed break in and ask if they should dispatch policewhat a waste of timeThe whole point of getting a security system is to expedite the time of police arrival
After we filed our police report, I called ADT to discuss getting a new sensor since our front door had been kicked in and the sensor had been damagedI was told without remorse that the sensors being damaged during a burglary is not covered in the warranty and I was going to have to purchase a new oneNo one in the company seemed to understand or care that my house had been burglarized on their watchThere was never any empathy or apologies involved
Then when I called to cancel my service, I was forwarded to a very snippy and monotone woman who did not try to keep my business or listen about my complaintsInstead, she told me that I had the first days to cancel and should have done so thenHow could I have known in the first three days that my security company would not have my back when I actually needed them as a security company?!
I will tell everyone within earshot of the promises ADT offers to prevent them going through this

I signed up as Monitronics three years agoThey said they could go up on price and yes they didHowever, you can't get out of your contractWent up about $a yearI called after my contract was up to cancel and they continued to charge meWhen I called about it, I was told they had sent me a form to fill out to cancel (what***! NO ONE else asks to fill out form to cancel service) and I didn't send it backSo they took days to send me the form which I sent back immediatelyHowever, they don't tell you that for the next days that it takes to process the form, you will continue to be chargedWhen I called to get my $back because they go my letter on Oct but charged me from Oct 17-when they finished processing, all they could do was repeat what I just saidHello? I know what I didThe fact it takes you so long to process a cancellation tells me you are getting one last payment from the customers that want to cancelI have been with Brinks before and NEVER had to send in letter to cancelDO NOT USE BRINKS! I have been on the phone for minutes, with clerks just to be sent to a voice mail of a managerI received different stories from each clerk

Installation incomplete as of due to tech did not have proper tools for installation But still auto withdraw from my bank every month!
After years of complaining that my installation is still not complete due to installation tech did not have proper tools to install, I finally reach someone in Customer Service today who confirmed this I am moving on the 29th to St Croix and was informed I will be charged almost $to cancel!!!! I have had ADT alarm services at my current address Shubrook Ln for year and month now During this time the alarm has been activated times, both time while me and my fiancé were sleeping The alarm did not wake either of us up as it is extremely hard to hear in a floor sq ft rancher The second time this happened was June 5th and the local Police were sent to our location, weeks later we received a fall alarm notification My major concern is that if this was not a alarm and a real situation the alarm did not do what it is intended to do, alarm the residence, also the volume on the keypad is and always has been at max After receiving the citation I contacted ADT in order to see how I can increase the sound from the keypad to alarm us in the case of a break in, there was nothing more I could do The represent

I called ADT to make repairs to my system (I pay extra for servicing)I found out that my system had not been communicating with ADT for over a monthI was told that I would be charged $for the first half hour and $for increments of fifteen minutes It made me upsetI have been with ADT for over years
I called to cancel my service and spoke to *** She said she would cancel my service but wanted to hear my story She listened and promised to have my service restored without charging me and to give me a monthly credit for the inconvenience However, before all this would take place, she changed the subject to me signing up for three more years
That is not why I called; but that is what I wound up with I have paid quarterly for ten yearsI didn't need a contract But before the credit was entered and the system repaired, I was duped in to saying yes over the phone When the technician did not arrive on the appointed day and there was no note of a loss of service credit, I called to rescind the contract I was told that I passed the day of rescinding and there was nothing I could do I was told that I should have read the contract I signed years agoI would have known that I only had days to rescind I do not think it is right to treat a long time customer this way I cant charge ADT for non performance or not showing up on time or having to accept a hour window to get service I do not want to be locked in to another years and I still don't have a working system This is not the way to treat a long time customer

I am not a customer of ADT Security, nor have I ever done business with themHowever, they constantly call me at home asking for someone who does not live hereThey call in excess of times per day, sometimes there is no one on the other end of the line To me, this constitutes telephone harassment I am currently on the FCC's "Do Not Call" List yet ADT's harassment has not abatedI have filed multiple claims on the Do Not Call List website and I have decided to file a Revdex.com Claim before contacting my local police department to stop the telephone harassment
