*** My alarm has been beeping every seconds , I contacted reliance protection customer service - twice asking for assistance I can not remove the cover on the smoke alarm and called to ask what type of battery do I need once the cover is removed or if the cover can't be removed after great effort, how do I replace the entire smoke alarm? Since I no longer have a contract with this company , the technician said he can't help me, even tho they installed the alarm systemHe told me to go to Canadian tire and figure it out I asked to speak to a manager , he said no Flat out noI was a customer for years , always paid monthly fee on time I called for assistance and was spoken to rudely , told to go somewhere else since I wasn't under contract with them and then hung up on after he said I could NOT sowak woth a manager

ADT is the worst company I have dealt with in a very long timeThey lied to me about what services they could provide, tried to down grade my system and charge me to do it, charged my account without providing any services, and when I chose to go elsewhere they cancelled my service with the new company without my knowingThey are impeding on my choice for home protection and the safety of my family

On July 13, I reached out to ADT for ServiceThe salesperson I spoke to was more than accommodatingCall took 45minService was set to begin on July 30, I was a little disheartened that the first time slot that was available was the day after the two week vacation I was taking to move into my new homeBut, Oh wellOn July,13, I get a call from ADTSorry for any inconvience we are going to have to change your appointment to July 31, There was a problem with scheduling"Not a problem"Then on July 23, I received one call at 1:43pADT Scheduler said they needed to switch my appointment to August 1/ wait no July 30th Sorry we can keep you at July 31st the appointment take to hours we can schedule you in the morning so the installer will have time to get the job completedNext call the same day at 2:24pWe can schedule for July 31st but the appointment window will be 12p-5pm?????????? OK I called ADT on July 31st, my appointment day as I was a little confusedIf the appointment arrival time was between noon and 5pm, how would the technician have time to do the job? Do they work late? So, the first person I spoke with I stated my concernHer response, I can help you with that, I just need to get scheduler involved, I'm going to put you on holdShe actually put me back in the queAnother person picks up, asked what was my call aboutI said didn't the other rep explainShe says what other rep? I ask my question againPlease don't put me back in the queNo, I won't and if we get disconnected, I'll call you backLet me check with dispatch on an ETA"OK" Tyler is going to be your technician and he has a short jobHe will be there as soon as he had completed his current appointmentI assure you he will start before noon"OK, Thanks" Tyler actually calls at 1:22p says he should arrive about 1:45p"Ok, I'll be there"Tyler comes in we walk the area, confirm equipment and then he asked for the modemI needed to confirm something with my husbandCome back and Tyler ask me to sign the contractThen says, I may not be able to complete the job todayAt the most, I can be here hours but the job will take longer with set up and programmingSo I upset as I had to take yet another day off to get this security system completedOK, will you be here in the morning to complete, "NO"Ok, when? What day works for you? "Mondays"Someone can come out August If that is the earliest , I guess I have no choiceWell, actually we should just wait for the 13th to do the installWHAT? Yeah, I won't be the one coming out and things could get turned around with two people working on the same jobOkay???? Tyler packs up , walks out and doesn't apologize, say thank you or good byeHe just walked outWhatever, I call ADT customer service get the run around for minutesI was offered a month of service for freeThat didn't match the amount of money I was losing missing work two daysCustomer service offered August for service to start between 8am and 10pmThree weeks no security system!!!!!

I had an ADT system installed and within the day cancellation period I cancelled the contract, primarily because of misrepresentation of the product and promotions promised When the installer came to uninstall he left holes in the walls where the equipment was placed He refused to repair and when I contacted customer service, they too refused to repair the damages stating that they are not responsible for any tool or equipment damage as a result of the installation This is a terrible way to do business - come into a customer's home, damage the walls, and not take responsibility Knowing that it is company policy not to take responsibility for damage, the installers can be as reckless as they want to be knowing that they will not be held accountable Terrible customer service

Technician came to home in March 2016, my system doesn't work anymore There is no power to the systemContinue to receive bills
Account # XXXXXXX March ADT tech came to home, I was informed my system no longer works and new one is needed I was told I needed to sign a new year contract I chose not to sign a contract ADT called me 5-25-because I did not pay the bill I explained that system is not working, how are you billing meWas transferred to many different people, I informed them to CANCEL the service I was told that service would be cancelled and as of 5-25-my balance was zero because adjustments were made I had to tell the lady lots of times to CANCEL the service because kept trying to talk me into getting a new system No one could explain to me how they are charging me for monitoring my home and the system has NO Power, no one could explain it to me One guy said "It's kinda like a cell phone that you misplace and the service is still on." SALES REPRESENTATIVES LIE ABOUT CANCELLATION FEES
I PURCHASED THE ADT SECURITY FROM ONE OF THEIR SALES REPS THAT CAME TO MY HOUSEI ASKED HIM MULTIPLE TIMES, POINT BLANK, ARE THERE ANY FEE'S WHATSOEVER ASSOCIATED WITH CANCELLING MY SERVICEHE REPLIED "AS LONG AS YOU KEEP YOUR SERVICE FOR A YEAR, ADT WILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO RECOVER THEIR COSTS AND THERE WILL BE NO CANCELLATION FEE."
I CALLED TO CANCEL AND THE RUDE SALES REP TOLD ME IT WOULD COST OVER DOLLARS TO TERMINATETHEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT I CANNOT SUSPEND MY ACCOUNT, EVEN IF I DO NOT LIVE AT THAT RESIDENCE ANYMORE AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO TRANSFER IT SOMEWHERE ELSEI WAS STAYING WITH FAMILY AND WOULD BE MOVING SHORTLY SO THERE IS NO POINT IN ME TRANSFERRING UNTIL I FIND ANOTHER PLACETHEY STILL WOULDN'T SUSPEND MY ACCOUNTWHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER, I GOT THE RUN AROUNDTHEY WOULD NOT TELL ME THE REPS NAME, THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE HIS SUPERVISOR CONTACT MEIT HAS BEEN OVER ALMOST A MONTH AND NO ONE HAS C

I did a transfer of service from *** *** *** ***, ** XXXXX to XXXXX *** *** ***, ** XXXXXI was told by the rep all I had to pay for was installation $100, and then $for general installing in personI would get a $credit for the equipmentIn addition, I kept the game exactly equipment from the old home, nothing changedThe guy came and STILL charged me for everything, coming out to $This is incorrect and not properPlease refund me for al the extra parts, etcor take $off the $I paidThank you!

I was a customer since When I wanted to cancel, I was given the run around and their friendly customer service tone changed quickly Even though I was far removed from my initial agreement, they still wanted a day notice to cancel They told me they will be sending a bill for days of service, even though I have been disconnected I wanted to cancel because they kept increasing their prices During my years with them, I had alarm contacts I would not recommend using ADT I would not award them any stars

ADT mandated that I update my alarmWhen I told them I anticipated moving they assured me that was not an issueWhen I accepted a new job, I called to cancel my serviceThe person I talked to "Ryan" informed me that I should keep my service on until the day before I moved to ensure I'd have an alarmWhen I called the informed me that they were going to bill me as they require days noticeAfter some back and forth, ADT agreed to not bill me for late cancellationI assumed that my account would be suspended (as in no bill for not using the service)"Ryan" called several times trying to get me to have ADT installed at my new house in OR, and I asked him to stop calling and I would contact them when I was ready for an alarm
Several days ago "Ryan" called again and tried againI asked him again to please stop calling, my account was suspended due to the move, and I would let someone know at a later date if I decided to install an alarm

ADT uses subcontractors who own the contractThey want to lock you into a non-transferable 3-year contractYou never know who you're dealing withLooking at all the negative reviews (94% negative) how can Revdex.com give them an A+?

If I could leave a zero star rating I would This company is terrible Experienced all of the same issues as others with cancelling the service After cancelling the third time(!) they continued to call, DAILY!, stating that the service was not cancelled
When cancelling the Second (!) time the guy, asked "why are you cancelling?" I responded that we have a dog (ANYTHING to get them moving along) to which he responded "Well, you should know that people that break in and will kill the owners dogs to prevent them from making noise"

We had a terrible experience with ADT and their local installer "Defender" They basically operate a bate and switch operation and put a hard sell once they arrive The installer installed a key pad prior to our agreeing on a price and package and then put a hard sell on my wife The package we had agreed to with the salesperson on the phone was not the deal that we got Basically the salesperson lied to us and the installer was unethical and unprofessional If I could cancel the contract I would

This check is to cancel the contract for my pharmacyLast year we were unsatisfied with your response time and how you handle the robbery for our pharmacyWhen the response was made, it called my cell phone first and then police departmentThe police department response hour laterFirst, the panic button is for panic, while we were getting rob, it does not make sense to call my cell phoneYou called LAPD first then they transfer me to South gate PD while I was getting robbedI have also forward this letter to news agency and blogs to ensure they know what happenAlso, when I call to cancel the account representative making it so hard to cancel the contract and kept denying that you guys response on time and blame it on the police
After writing this letter, I will contact all my associate with home and business of mine and to cancel all ADT and not renew them for the yearI will check which contract will end and cancel them and switch them to another companyYou have shown that response time is poor and the way to contact the police is poor as well The way your company operates lack compassion and customer service and you should really look how your company operatesI will never use ADT ever again and I will be talking with my associate to make sure ADT will never be serving our business again

On this company installed their alarm services It has never worked They sent out a technician on 03-16-who said it was not installed correctly The put in a new system I was unable to use the app for this new system I had concerns about it ever working correctly In 04-12-they removed their equipment however they are now telling me I owe them for the three year contact which amounts to a monthOn 05-24-they billed my credit card and will continue to do so for three years

For such a large company they should provide better training to their customer service for residential security service
