Salesperson ran hard credit inquiry without my approval, hurting my FICO score
I was interested in an ADT security system for my home and inquired on-lineI receive a phone call from a sales associate, ***, on 7/10/from telephone # 1(***) ***He asked for my birthdate and last of my SSN during his sales pitch and never mentioned anything about a credit check (I wouldn't have authorized it anyway as I was planning on paying cash)On 7/11/18, my FICO score dropped due to a hard credit inquiry WITHOUT my permission
I will never do business with a company who practices this type of illegal processThey MUST inform their clients if a credit check is OK

Had ADT for yearsRecently sold our home & moved across countryADT had our new mailing address as I received the cancellation notice they sent me, however, they failed to mail me my last bill (they said they did) & months later receive a collections notice for $15.39! Where was the bill, 2nd, Final notice?! When I called to canx service, the rep said I was all paid up?!

Refusing to give refund due

Called ADT so that they can come out and hook up my alarm system to my new internet line They told me that I needed a piece and then it turned out I didn't need one I talked to or different agents and they all said the same thing I was on the line for hour and minutes and didn't nit get anything resolved I still did not get an appointment so my alarm system is not working

ADT installed a home security system in my home on 03/12/on March 19, the system began to give fault issues which had alarms going off all night on this day ADT asked me to power down the system and they would have a tech come out and fix it the following weekOn March 22, my thermostat which is also from ADT began powering my AIr conditioning unit on and off every minute after hours on the phone with them no resolution was reachedA tech came to the house on March 23, and replaced the equipmentI am writing this complaint on 03/24/and the thermostat is broken again this will be the second night this week my three kids have to sleep without air conditioning due to product issues with this companyThis is a safety concern and is also causing damage to my air conditioning unit, and increasing my power bill significantly

I returned a Health alert in June 2016.I got a bill for over $this Friday for a device that they claimed was not returned.I spoke to people.I was told that the device was returned on June 2016.They can not recall the tracking number and put the burden on me.They also charged me for a month of service which was already paid from my bank account.I paid the amount for I was afraid that they would hurt my credit score.I need your help!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! We had a burglary on January 12th our alarm system didnt go off,dispatched tech which said "sorry just didnt go off this one time"
I believe the purpose of a company like ADT would be for lock and security, I received none on January 12th at 4:AM where our store had a burglary, they went threw two motion sensorsNO ALARM WENT OFFthey destroyed our computer, register, printer, small electronics, and made a mess of thingsI tried calling corporate about this issue and they said "sorry we will dispatch a tech to look at the unit"The tech finally came out to the location and tested the unit and said "there is nothing wrong with the unit, all tests passed" so I responded by saying "why didn't the alarm go off?" he responded "sorry bro, it just didn't work this one time"outrageous a security company didn't have there product functional "this one time"I called there corporate office a couple of days later to cancel my account, I don't need a service that works someti

ADT has been unable to resolve a cellular communication with our panel and has refused to assist in stopping the "Beep" coming from the panel They advise to unplug the system and just leave the cord sitting there along with taking off the front panel to unplug the battery They are unwilling to help and I would not recommend this monitoring company to anyone

I recently signed up for service with ADT via Defender I have had the service for one month and within this month the system has malfunctioned twice We have had two service visits without resolution The police department had to come out due to the alarms I contacted Defender to cancel service due to the defective system I spoke with *** Cancellation Department Manager (employee number XXXXX) in *** ***, *** She was extremely nasty and frigid Needless to say, she would not let me out of the contract because the day grace period has passed What kind of company expects someone to continue with a service that malfunctioned twice within days!!!
I also contacted ADT and they stated that they were unable to cancel the service due to my contract being with Defender
I explained to ADT how I will not do business or recommend them to anyone due to the fact that they (ADT) as the parent company can not reprimand Defender (contractor) and assist an unhappy customer Plus Defender provided rude and unacceptable service via customer service both management and faulty equipment I am very disgusted that my only options are being stuck paying for a service that I am not happy with or paying $to cancel the service
Please do not sign up with Defenders If you don't have or more service visits regarding the same problem they will not cancel your contract Please do not sign up with ADT they are not supportive of their customers via the contract companies Both companies are in it together just for the money!!!! STEER CLEAR

I bought my home "As-Is" in with a pre-installed ADT system from previous ownerThe alarm went off one day, I searched ADT number and called to see how I could shut it down, which I was guided through and had it shut downI later requested their service, and they sent a technician who didn't bring in any equipment but only used the already available onesWhen he was done, he simply said "sign here to show installations completed" NOTHING was said to me about a "month contract " absolutely NOTHING! Being over charged vs contract I signedTrying to solve issue over months, very difficult, they say they call back and never doVery frustrating, tired, exhausted!!! Do I really feel safe and protected?!?! NO ! Would I recommend this company? NO !

Billed after cancellation
I was contacted by ADT via their 800# No messages were left but I did call the number back to find out it was ADT The customer service rep said that my account was still active When I advised her it was cancelled she was able to locate the cancellation after about minutes of searching She began to advise me that I owe a balance of $100+ When I contacted the cancellation department I specifically asked if I owed anything and they advised me that services were cancelled and billing stopped
The girl I spoke with today stated that I have to wait a day period for my services to cancel I don't understand this when I was told I would owe nothing I am not understanding how I owe any past due payments when my account has been set up on auto debit for years pay over $total plus the expense of the equipment I was with ADT for years and had no issues with them until I decided to cancel as a customer I do not owe anything past Oct
