I attempted to close an ADT alarm account for a home which I'm renting I was not under contract and free to cancel with days notice at any time When I called to explain what I went to do I was met with fierce resistance and customer representatives for more than minutes Each employ refused to listen to what I needed to do, only to offer me ridiculous deals and high pressure tacts which I find offensive, unethical and reminds me of the business practices of the old Columbia House Records monthly subscription service The last employee was in tears and would have made another person feel sorry and keep the service going for just a few dollars a month I'm so disgusted that I'm contemplating cancelling the service that I now have in our family home I'm not under contract and can give days notice any time I'm not impressed with the business practices of ADT They label themselves with integrity, far from it

They told me one price when I canceled, and are now trying to charge a more expensive price
I canceled my subscription At the time of cancelation, they told me my bill would be be approximately $ I then received a bill in the mail for $ I called them to ask about the discrepancy again and they told me that the correct bill should be arriving in the mail to reflect the $bill that I owe them I then started having their collectors calling me saying I owe them $when that isn't what different people had told me I owed them They have yet to play me the recorded calls and I even told the woman that I last spoke with that I'm more than willing to pay what I truly owe, which is what I was told originally which is $and NOT the $ Since then, I have received another bill for $and yet the woman who was on the phone with me made no attempt to fix the problem

Adt customer service has refused to return my calls,and everytime I called wanted more money and new contract
On March I signed a contract with Adt for years.I explained that I lived in unit of the same property and that unit was under construction where I will be movingin couple of months.the sales associate agreed that I would get free move and free camara once I get moved to unit in the same building.I had equipment installed at the residence unit once the unit 3was done I called to move my services.the new associate told me on Sept over the phone that I need to pay $for a move and that I will not get the camera for free.I asked if he could have a manager call me to verify with recorded phone call that I was promised the free move and he said that someone will call me in next buisness dayI called back on Sep only to find out that no such thing was written in my report and that my sistem was in unit 3.I explained it was in unit The lady ov

I was connected to ADT sales after ONLY calling to set up new service for electric in my family's new residenceI mentioned I was undecided but would like to get pricing since my husband had shown interest in the product, and I also receive a discount from my employerI had told the man originally I only wanted pricing, and I couldn't be on the line long since I was on the clock at work and was just about to go back from a short breakHe mentioned the call would only take about minutes and I could get pricing before the end of the callI say okHe continues to talk promotions, to which I let him know which option would be bestAfter that has been decided I again ask for pricing since I do not have much timeHe snidely remarks, " Well we're talking nowIt should only be two more minutes" I again say okWorking in customer service myself I was not trying to be rude to a man who was only doing his jobHe then proceeds to ask for an install dateI tell him, " Again, I am not calling to set up serviceI would only like pricing." He says ok I'm just going over options." He then again asks me if I would like to choose an optional install date if it doesn't agree or we choose not to I can cancel I am starting to get frustrated at this point and I again for the fourth time I would just like pricingAfter realizing he wasn't going to make a sale then and there he quickly gave me the pricing for two options discussed and a callback numberThank ***! After the set up for my electric took less then or so minutes, I was lead through a near minute sales pitchThroughout the rest of my day at work I noticed a missed call on my phoneAS SOON AS I AM LEAVING THE BUILDING FROM WORK I again receive a call from the same numberI answer it's a rep from ADT asking if he could finish set up, and asks me why I did not complete install date on the original callI very bluntly tell him that, " I initially called to only set up my electric, the sales rep was very pushy, and the fact that I am receiving this second call within hours of my first makes me not want want the service even more." I asked them to not call me again and if I wanted service I would call to set it upI was interested in this product until salesmen got ahold of my call, and CUSTOMER SERVICE went out the windowAgain, I receive a discount through my employer, and my spouse was interested in this productAfter this I will gladly forfeit the discount for another customer service friendly companyYou should listen to the customer above all else!!

In late February 2017, our landlord sold the house and gave us days to move, ADT still have out account activeWe called several times

Our contract is different than original, things were added after we signed
About weeks ago I called Protectron to stop our alarm contract as we are moving into a condo and do not need to have the alarm Protecton told me I couldn't cancel because we had signed a month contractThere is no where on our contract that says months so I disputed it on the phone - they said very clearly it was on the contract They emailed the contract to me and sure enough it was on their copy, but not oursThere were other things on the original copy that were not on ours such as model number that was better than the one we had installed These things were added after we signed the contract with the sales person that came to our door Protectron has said we owe them over $for disconnection because of the contract which we signed We told them we did not want a contract in the very beginning We are moving this week and need this settledthis is fraud and we will consider pressing cha

ADT has mixed my account with another customer's I've been paying for monitoring services for someone else's address
I have had ADT for about or years at my home located at XXXXX *** In Feb I received a call from ADT informing me to confirm or cancel my installation appointment I immediately contacted ADT to let them know I did not have an appointment scheduled as I am already an ADT customer I verified my address, name, phone number etc.; I was still alarmed by this phone call so I emailed their customer relations department I received an email from MrGeorge *** informing me there was an error with an order that was placed in the ADT system and the address that was receiving the install was *** *** *** (around the corner from my address) He apologize for the inconvenience I assumed the error was correct and no further actions was required on my part

#- Spoke to ADT rep Lisa on 03/01/@ pm MST
#- Asked Lisa to cancel ADT acct on 05/01/when ADT contract officially ends on 05/01/
#- Reason for cancellation: property sold and already have ADT service at new property so no need for transfer of service
#- ADT rep Lisa said cancellation noted in system and cancellation taken care of
#- I asked Lisa if an email would be sent to me to provide confirmation of cancellation Lisa said email would be sent right away and letter would be sent later
#- Lisa also said a credit would be applied as well
#- Contacted ADT again on 03/02/@ 3:pm MST and spoke to another rep who said she did not see any notes in the system indicating cancellation on 05/01/
#- ADT rep contacted cancellation group and rep returned an answer of "you need to call ADT

Not happy with ADT We have had problems with our system from the beginning of our contract years in we had a tech come out and they said they had to put something on the wall and it was not a guarantee it would workThey won't let us out of the contractI want out because it's not functioning properlyIn order to fix it we have to pay more And the only thing the lady on the phone kept saying "it's legally biding" so I am legally obligated to pay for something that does not function properlyGot it

If I could give no stars I wouldWe have businesses covered by ADTThey have failed us terriblyNot only has my security cameras been down for monthsThey keep telling me their waiting for a part to come inFor two monthsAfter calling them over and over my worst fears came trueMy business was broken into this weekendThey still won't fix my systemI just keep getting we're waiting on a part I would not recommend ADT for anything!!!

PEOPLE DO NOT GET ADT SERVICE, ITS JUST A SCAMthey do business practices according to bait and switch, it took me months to cancel my service with ADT after years of customerafter months of drama by phone and emailsthey sent me collection noticeIT WAS MY WORST DAY WHEN I SIGN UP ADT SECURITYsave your money and find other company we are going to take them in small claim court which can be done without attorneyITS GARBAGE COMPANY

I told sales rep everything that my current system had, including a connection to my home automation lighting All existing devices were to be connected and no costs to be incurred
Tech (really a sales guy) arrived and immediately drilled a hole (through wallpaper) in our front hall and installed control panel (per ADT procedures)
Technician then reviewed existing system and declared that ADT could not connect to any existing devices Tech reported that over $2,in replacement devices would be required and that a connection to our home automation could not be achieved
ADT hoping we were now captive with panel and holes in our front hall I refused to accept their reversal and sent their technician away Hole remains in our from hall, and I intend to pursue ADT for damages
Deplorable Bait and Switch sales methodology

Charged monthly for camera repair service.I called to get service was told it would be daysasked to cancel contract and was denied
we are paying a monthly fee for camera service calls for our businessI called for help with a camera that had stopped workingI was told Monday was the soonest appointmentI asked to cancel contract because I was going to have to go out and buy a new system because being a liquor store you need surveillance at all time especially on weekendsI was told they would not release me from contract and I could go out and buy replacement cameras till the came out for repair

General Contracts are done to protect both sidesbut in ADT contracts are all sided to protect only ADTs interestsi signed a years contractand they DO NOT disclose a MOVING RESIDENCE Clause on their contractAll other service company such us Electricity, Cable, internetin case you move to another house, same contract remains in effectbut with ADTI had only few months left on my contract when I had to move no my new homeI asked them to come over and move my service as well, on my new house, it was wired with a Brand New High Tech Alarm System but without Monitoring service installedand a technician came and First he said he needed to install all Hardware from ADT, because it wasn't compatible with mineFINE, they did it and when finished he brought me a NEW years COntractand I refused to signWhy? because I never said I was happy to renew the contracti called to bring the service to my new address so I can honor my year contract I had signed beforeseriously I felt I was being pushed to sign something I didnt wantso I decided not to sign, and I also canceled the whole contract and im paying the penaltybecause everyone hates contracts that are one sidedSPRINT, VERIZON, all bigger companies are turning more on hearing Customers and understanding themADT only care about them

Unless u want to loose your money I would suggest from experience not to go with ADT because the first chance they get they will rip u off and u will loose your money..They lie and cheat and will not refund your money and they are crooks

Ring Door Bell video recording I was not told that I would have to subscribe for video recordingI was told it was included in ADT monthly bill

I tried to cancel my account with said company and was unable to because they don't except my reason for wanting to cancel: Because I no longer want ADTI was on the phone for over minutes with Jennifer who kept asking me why when I gave her my answerMe stating I no longer want the service should be sufficient and I should not be subjected to constantly being questioned over and over with the same resultI also should not have to endure trying to be persuaded to keep the service when I've made my decisionThe monthly billed amount is automatically deducted from my financial institution and the only way to stop it is through ADT or I can pay a fee to stop payment (not a total guarantee) which I think is ridiculous

I called adt sometime back in dec for security cameras the install was set up and the man Luis came the next day to install a panel and provided me with one indoor camera, when I asked him when was the other tech coming to install the adt cameras he told that they gut would be there but that he was on another job, *** then proceeded to show me the cameras he had installed at his home, I told im that it was nice and I like the way the pictures shows on the phone, he proceeded to tell me that they weren't adt cameras but that they were swann cameras, he told me to buy the swann cameras cause the adt cameras were a *** and that when I get the swann cameras to call him and he will come and install them
when I got the cameras I called him and he told me that after he finishes his side jobs he would come and install the swann cameras for me
weeks passed and I kept calling him and he did not answer, finally when he did he said he was in the hospital with the flu and would be here in a few weeks to install them so I waited
then on last monday someone was supposed to come and install them being it was approved for the cameras to be installed or so I was toldi and stayed home from work and waited all day and no one showed up
I keep calling adt and defender for help now *** manager *** is basically calling me a liar and said that *** did not tell me to get the swann cameras that it was another brand call ali or something like that , well I can assure you , he did tell me swann, I know nothing about security cameras, all I want is some resolve, I don't appreciate being told I am a liar and I don't appreciate being taken advantage of all I want is a little piece of mind knowing my home is somewhat secureif you can look into my file and see all the times I have called and the notes that are supposed to be in the system you can see for yourself, please im begging you , please help
