I am curious as to how a company with negative reviews and positive reviews has an A+ rating with Revdex.com, but that's not why I'm writing this
I have had an ADT monitored alarm for years (it was installed when the house was built by an authorized dealer)A system that old required a land line so for years I paid for a phone line that I never used so my alarm would be monitoredTurns out that was a waste of moneyWhen I finally disconnected that phone line in Septof last year, ADT continued to bill me the monitoring chargeI wouldn't complain about that except I never had a call from ADT or anyone from their company come out to see if I disabled the alarm or notConsidering that they advertise that they monitor 24XI find it odd that when they don't get a ping from an alarm they monitor for more than months without a word from the customer that they don't suspect that either the alarm is defective or that perhaps it was disabled by someone with bad intentI know if I left a child with a babysitter and they didn't answer my callafter the second attempt I would go home to see what the issue wasThis isn't far from thatThey claim that they will monitor my alarm and provide a level of security in exchange for a monthly feebut when they are unable to hold up their end of that arrangement, they have no problem continuing to take the feeWhen I discovered that my system had not been monitored for over months and called to complain I was informed that cancellation of the service would require day notice (so they get one more payment for doing nothing), but that I was eligible for a free upgrade to a new wireless systemI had to laugh as I declined, thinking if my house was burglarized or burned down I would have to call them to let them know because they obviously don't monitor anything
I called in 2/11/to cancel my service and was told that it would be cancelled It has not been cancelled and I keep getting charged

My wife and I called ADT on February 11, to see about upgrading our system, when the gentleman informed us that he was unable to do anything without charging us for new equipment and additional fees I asked him to cancel our service He said, "ok." I waited on the phone for a few seconds, and he said nothing after that so my wife and I took that t to mean that we did not need to do anything else and that our service was cancelledWe then went out and got new service for a lower cost and much better features
In March we were charged again for regular monthly service So my wife and I called back and after being on hold for over an hour we again requested that our service be cancelled and to be refunded for the last two monthsThe young lady that we talked to said that she had talked to her manager (while we wer

I cncld service on 4/13/per we sold home, this is before next bill cycle per we where in a month to month after the contractRep said all was ok per we had made paymentThen in May we get a bill for a home we no longer live inWe paid again on 5-1/& called Rep Marie said that our acct was closed that because I don't have a contract, that because we where miss informed our account was clearShe assured me all was going to be fine and no more charges will going to show up for usShe even stated all you'll receive from us now is a refund for over payment of Then today 5/I get a bill for 87.66, charging us for June service plus the refund they sent usThis is unacceptable especially when we have been customers for so long and on top of that I was told by reps that all was good and nothing else would show upIts like the company thinks we are fools or trying to trick customers
If I could leave stars I wouldI cancelled my service with ADT after being with them for around 5+ years and transferred to VivintWhen I cancelled service the first time was around May 27th, then after about months went by I noticed that ADT was still taking their monthly payment I called ADT back and spoke with another customer service rep to find out why I was still being charged I then was told by the customer service rep that the service was never cancelled by the previous rep and he/she would cancel my service and refund the months that should not have been paying for serviceA few weeks later, I called ADT back to check on the status of my refund since I received a letter in the mail that seemed like I was only going to be reimbursed for monthHe informed me that the cancellation in May did not take place because the call was droppedThe call was not dropped, had it been dropped I would've called back and cancelled that same day, I would not continue to pay for a service that was no longer connected and of no useI was told that I would receive a refund of $but not the full months, a total of over $I was told that there is nothing I can do to dispute this so I basically just gave a company over $for nothingI had been a loyal customer with this company over the last 5+ years and they are not willing to right their wrongThey must be hurting for the money if they would rather have their name bashed by tons of ex customers rather than just do the right thing, makes me happy I left
I heard from a co-worker that ADT was affordableShe had a special$to sign up, and $a monthI submitted request for a quote, and the agent stayed on the line with me for minutes, chatting me up in friendly mannerShe told me I could have security for $up front, and $a monthThen, she signed me up for a visitI was told the guy arrived at my neighborhood more than an hour before he came to my houseThen, he started to chat me up about all of the optionsI told him I didn't appreciate high pressure for a higher packageI told him that on $an hour, I can't afford a higher packageHe wasn't too friendly after I asked him not to pressure meIndeed, he did pressure me into purchasing a package I can't affordThis was in opposition to what the agent said when she called meNo matter how much I tried to explain that I couldn't afford more than $a month, he insisted on installing more than I could afford, and then when I begged him to leave, called his boss and tried to continue talking me into "the deal" by saying they were getting me a special on peripheralsFinally, after excruciating hours, he leftI was sick to my stomach all night alongThe numbers that were on my contract were anything but affordable, but he assured me I had days to cancelWhen I was able to call today to try and cancel, I was transferred around to many other numbers before I was put on holdAfter holding hour, I was transferred again, and the agent who answered said I had lost my place in a person queueHow long does it take to cancel this ridiculous service? hours later, I am still holding, and am disgusted by what I am having to go through to cancel a service after having it for only hoursIt's obvious that this is part of the high pressure to force me to keep this serviceWho's going to protect me from ADT???????

I just got a absolute joke of an emailADT is taking my monthly rate up over $bucks a year! They just created $318.3MM in yearly profit w a price increase to 7mm customers!! months after Apollo Private equity bought the company, are justifying this b/c they revamped the call center and built an app?? I could get a Stanford undergrad to build me an app for $10k dollars! Call center: that means more automation, job losses and efficiency and higher profit margins (prob pays for its self)you would think they would pass cost saves on to customersNOOO, they want to increase prices, increase corp profit margins, automate process, fire employees (redundancies), pay down debt, increase their equity value and re-trade the company for a massive profit in a few yearsguess who gets screwedcustomers and employees

We purchased an ADT Security system when we bought our new home in order to keep us safe while in the home and keep our home safe while we were away The sales process was difficult but we wanted the ability to have the security system monitored so it was not just a burglary alarm when at home The system was installed on 9/15/ Today is 11/5/and we just started to notice that connecting to the online app, Pulse, was taking longer than expected We figured it was just being slow and used the keyfob to turn the alarm on and off this week Today, I forgot how to work the fob and tried to use the app but the app would not load at all so I contacted Support In testing, Support determine they could not connect to our system, which also meant that our system was not connecting to the monitoring This means our system is not being monitored This is the first night I am home while my husband is on a business trip, which is why we bought the system and its not being monitored A
Needed to gain access to remotely view our security cameras had to call times just to get a rep out and when he finally came out he said he was the wrong rep we needed a service rep not a sales rep This company is a complete joke I called ask to speak to a supervisor the rep said there wasn't one on the floor and laughed that I didn't need one just needed to schedule a new rep to come outI was hung up on transferred multiple times every time I called with each rep not knowing anymore than the rest

we are paying a monthly fee for camera service calls for our businessI called for help with a camera that had stopped workingI was told Monday was the soonest appointmentI asked to cancel contract because I was going to have to go out and buy a new system because being a liquor store you need surveillance at all time especially on weekendsI was told they would not release me from contract and I could go out and buy replacement cameras till the came out for repair
Why is ADT security an A+ rated company? Why is Revdex.com cutting them a slack? they have total customer reviews out of which are negative and are positivethey also have total customer complaints? What do you have to mess up to not be an A+ company? Please help me explain it
