I was having problem with someone stealing things off of my property so I called ADT to put cameras on my house to catch the person or persons who is taking the things off of my propertyThis is what I told ADT but they put motion camera that only last for second and is off for minutesThey did not tell me this until something was stolen off my property that is when they told me about the camera so I feel they didn't keep their word and I should be able to cancel my contract
I've been alarmed for different reasons at 1:AM days in a rowalarmed last year tooPlease let me out of contractLoosing sleep
Repeated problems with ADT alarms include tonight (1:30AM), flood alarm today, and second floor alarm tonightI was also awakened last night for a different ADT alarm for which I called and for which ADT has a recordLast year it was a front door that put police in my house, which was never necessaryI just need this to stopI called now to disconnect and after that, I have a beeping unit that is preventing me from sleeping because it keeps beeping even after the disconnectI just really need this to endADT please end my contractI am very disappointed with the service

Customer service is horribleADT sends a letter saying they need to upgrade the cell phone on our systemThey cancel times after waiting for them over 1-hours each timeCustomers take time off from work to wait for the service to completed and the work never gets doneInstead of giving a narrow time window they give you a hour window
I have had ADT since and despite years of loyalty, they continue to charge me for a faulty systemEvery time there is a thunderstorm even if the system is not armed, there is a problem with the systemDONT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM!

I was charged an early termination fee when I was advised upon ordering that I would be able to suspend the account for years before a fee is charge

I am writing this because I have increasingly become frustrated with ADT
I signed up in March when moving into a rental house by myselfI was told I would be locked in to a year contractI said okWhen my job took me to another city months later, I had to moveI called ADT to transfer servicesThey DID NOT tell me that I would be resigning a year contract from that pointSo my first months essentially meant nothing towards my year contractI did not find this out till moving after a year lease was up at my rental house in the new city I moved tooI also had to get more equipment because the tech told me I would have to so I would be safeSales tactics yes but I was strong armed into getting more equipment$a month later I have had poor customer service experience along with being on hold and transferred over and over againRecently the cheap key pad starting beeping all the time so I unplugged itI got a call from ADT about this and I told them something was wrong with the unitThey sent someone out to fix it and DID NOT tell me about a service charge they would be billing meI refuse to pay this when they did not tell me they would be charging thisHow the heck is this customer service? Their equipment battery went out and I was supposed to pay for someone to come fix? NO! Also, when my alarm is going off, they take forever to call the police and notify them hence my house getting broken intoI cant stand ADT, I think they are a dishonorable company with shady sales tacticsI am in SALES and there is zero tolerance for dishonesty DO GO WITH ADT!!!!!!!!!!!!
ADT has rendered my equipment that I bought outside of the contract no longer usable, the list includes garage door openers,thermostats, cameras
I purchased equipment outside of my ADT contract for equipment compatible with ADT's Pulse system,
I spent over $dollars between the two garage door openers($ea, $total) two thermostats($ea, $total) four indoor cameras($ea, $total) one outdoor camera($125) and one nightstand tablet($200)
I have discontinued their service due to the high cost of the system and their insistence on billing on three month increments instead of standard monthly billing
Contract and services were cancelled and a representative called me to offer a new rate and reinstated services without my approval

ADT would not dispatch when our alarm system went off
On 11/28/at approx 3:30pm ADT rcvd a signal that our alarm system was going offThey called the owner of the company to reportThey told him they could not call because we did not have an alarm permit on file so the sheriff would not dispatchMy boss drove the hour to the office and discovered it was a alarmWe DO have an alarm permitI called the sheriff dept and they said they did NOT rcv a call from ADT and that no matter what, they WOULD always respond to an alarm call - permit or notWhen I relayed this to ADT they then said they could not call because I had not sent ADT my alarm permit I have read my contract over and nowhere does it say to send them my permitI had no idea I was suppose to send them the permit...our business could have been cleaned out by the time my boss got there

My company has signed the contract with ADT security services on The only disturbance we have experienced during service period was 1.57am-when the Burglary alarm went offADT only emailed me the notification about the burglary - NO calls, NO police, NOT even a textAn email in the middle of the night about things with possible disastrous resultsFortunately,this time it was my staff who mistakenly put wrong alarm disarm pin, but alarm was going off for about min - so only imagine what could be done to the business in that time if it was a burglaryADT didn't even call to follow up on the incidentTherefore I started emailing and calling ADT about what happened-but neither I got any explanations, nor any answers, much less any concern was demonstrated from their side about possible outcome of failure to perform their obligationsAll the above left me no ch
There are several components involved with this complaint First the technician took over hours to transfer my service He left for at least 1.5-hours in the middle of the service basically holding me hostage at my house until he decided to come back He gave no estimates on how long this "errand" would take He left and later that same evening the alarm started beeping After hours I still did not have a functioning alarm I called ADT and they told me they could only offer a hour window for their follappointment, which I explained was unacceptable After requesting to speak to a manager someone "found" an appointment that had a hour window The technician comes and claims the new board that the original technician installed was "bad" Apparently this one was bad too because it once again started beeping less than hours after he left I also see they fraudulently charged me twice even though I only authorized them to charge me $ They said oops and would
My experience thus far is that in the first month of service with ADT they are on top of their game for customer service; I was grateful of the service in the beginning; Remember that the first days is the only time you can cancel your contract WITHOUT 75% of the rest of your signed contract
After the first 30days my bike was stolen off my back porch(ADT doesn't protect that) & I'm definitely not paying $1,000+ to replace that

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service that I received from ADT/Defenders/Whomever the shell company is Unfortunately I have been unsuccessful in cancelling this service (I was told that I needed to pay $1,to cancel although I first called within the day window), Everything that was told to me between the sales call and the installer was simply untrue I truly feel that I was extorted into a contract that I do not want to maintain and their cancellation penalty is absolutely ridiculous (a punishment for not wanting this service is horrible) I'm not sure of why they have an A rating but I would recommend that people read the reviews first before agreeing with this service
I originally searched online on Aug 4th for information on the security service when someone called to schedule an install The gentleman on the phone said that since I had an existing security system they would give me an $equipment credit then a second credit for $since my birthday was coming He said that they would give me a $Visa gift charge to offset the installation charge of $(I did not know that there would be 2/$charges) Also he said that they would give me key chain care remotes (well I only received of them) He said that my monthly charge would be $the only stipulation is that I would need to agree to pay that price for years (but somehow my bill is $59.99) so absolutely nothing is the way that they told me
I have called them several times to cancel - one time I was told that I called ADT instead of Defenders and therefore that did not count so I need to pay the $to cancel Why would this be allowed??

They insist on continuing to charge my DEAD RELATIVES for security on a house that does not even have phone service As the executor of the estate, I have called them times informing that the person on the bill has been dead for years, and the remaining relatives in the house have also passed I continue to get bills for a service we do not need and is useless to us as there is no phone connected It is time for me to get a lawyer involved
