Requested to cancel services since I am moving to a high-rise with a security guard alreadyTheir policies require an exorbitant fee

When we signed a contract with ADT rep Judi *** in March 2015, she told us that if we moved from a house to an apartment - which is what we are doing on October 15, - we would not be charged an early termination feeWhen I called today to cancel our service with ADT I was told that I would be charged a monthly fee until March - totaling upwards of $1,for a service I won't be usingThis is totally and completely inappropriate and taken advantage of their customerPlease help to rectify this issue as it's clearly an attempt by ADT to make easy money off of their customersIt's unethical and wrong
For the past two months I have request to speak with a supervisor o to have one call me in regards to a service fee The situation was the equipment was sending default signals/alarms due to the battery had not been changed in the equipment/piece at the front door since it what been installed ADT could see that there was a problem just by monitoring the system, yet want to bill me
We were sold a system & told the motion detectors wouldn't interfere with pets, yet our pets set it off making it unusable, company refuses to cancel
When we were sold this system, we were told that our pets would not set off the motion detectorsThe sales person said the installer would place them at a level that would not set them offOur pets set them off so we can never set the system

We were deceived into the functionality of the product to get us into a contract and even though they acknowledge the product doesn't work the way they sold it as, they refuse to waive the fee and break the contract

I was contacted by an ADT representative at the ADT Norcross,Ga locationWhen she (Renee) contacted me we reviewed the quote for serviceShe explained the application process to me saying that they just needed some personal information for their recordsShe also mentioned that credit will not be pulledI agreed to move for with processI started to feel uncomfortable with questions I was being asked such as past addresses, date of birth, social security numberI stopped and asked why was all of this information necessaryShe said it was a new process and assured me nothing would be done with my information and credit report would not be checked

EXTREMELY UNETHICAL SALES TACTIC
We recently purchased a new home & have had the same guy from ADT stop twiceThe first time I was home but was on a business call and unable to answer the door"Dave" proceeded to slip an envelope thru the crack of the door to the point that it was basically in the house with a new homeowner special flyer on itI don't think forcing things into someone's home is an ethical way of delivering information
Then, he showed up again tonight for a 2nd visitThis is the one that really frustratedI answered the door and he smiled and introduced himself as Dave from ADT and asked if I was the homeowner while sticking his hand out to shake extremely far almost to the point it was in my faceI immediately told him that I wasn't interested in ADT's services but thanks for stopping byAt that point, he kept his hand out and a big smile and said "Don't you think it's important to protect your home and your family?" I told him that I was all set and didn't appreciate the scare tactic sales pitch
Don't let Dave scare you into purchasing something like thisDo some research and decide for yourself
Faulty alarm and bogus contract
Our alarm hasn't worked correctly for yearsWe have multiple homes secured with this service and one of our tenants are having the same problem we were so we canceled that serviceThe unit makes us bypass different sensors and goes off for no reason at all hours of the nightFor the past months without fail every weekend the alarm will go off around 4-5amThis has been horrible for the past years but now my wife is pregnant with our 6th child and she also has LupusWe have had the police come out for alarms that we have had to pay for and that makes me angry because our brothers in blue have so many more important issues they should be dealing withMy dogs go crazy when they hear the alarm go off and one day while I was at work and the wife was at the commissary the alarms went off (for no reason) for over minutesI have had ADT technicians out here on more than occasion and obviously they don't know what they are doingI calle

Obviously beware it is a year contract you are committing to They also sign you up at a low price for monthly service and then corporate jacks that price up over that time period by an average of $bucks a month-$bucks a year Then when you have fulfilled your years and call to cancel they suddenly offer to cut your monthly service fee by $or $bucks a month I found this insulting Huge hassle to actually canccalled in and then they made us send in a letter Then they sent us a notice that rates would be increasing again and they claimed no record of our phone call to cancel or letter received There are better options out there for most homeowners and their needs Stay away from signing on for years with no control over rate increases and then an incredibly difficult cancellation process
We keep getting alarms on the front door They have sent out repairmen three times We had another alarm today There will be a hefty charge from the City When I called to cancel the contract, based on nonperformance, they refused to do so without charging hundreds of dollars for early cancellation They refused to admit it's faulty equipment despite their own recorded history of three previous attempts to fix it I will NEVER, NEVER do business with ADT again Shysters

Experience has been unprofessional I called ADT for an appointment for an alarm system, and was given a 6pm appointment for a sales person to come out and give me a quote on June 18th At 6:I was texted a picture of the high way by the sales person He then called me minutes later and said he needed to reschedule to Sunday Needless to say he quoted me as a monthly payment for the alarm system I declined I called back a the following month, and asked if they would honor the price and they stated they would However when I got the proposal they stated I didn't notice that it was higher

I referred someone to ADT and they placed all my information including my credit card onto their account and their information and credit card onto my account Have called and dealt with numerous people that promised it was fixed just to log in a couple days later to have the same issue The most they could do for giving out my credit card information is one month free Horrible customer service Will never refer them again!
I called ADT in the *** *** ** area on March 3, to cancel my service, and the person on the phone refused to cancel it
MY local ADT refused to cancel my service I called on March 3, 2016, and was transferred to another line I was put on hold for minutes, and no one answered I hung up and called back, and the person I spoke with refused to cancel my service I want the service cancelled as of the date I called, and do not want to be billed for any service after March 3rd I had to close my bank account from which my ADT bill is paid because of ADT's refusal to cancel my service I'm and year old woman, and have never has such horrible service in my life!
ADT will not cease to discontinue billing me after call to them to disconnect service
Three calls were made to ADT customer service, at XXX-XXX-XXXX- one in March 2016, again in April 2016, and a third time in May I stated we had moved and did not have need for their service(s) anymore
Each time the company rep responded that they would disconnect and stop billingOn the April call, they added that I was due a refund and would get it to meNo action from them!
As I have no deed for their service at this time, why are they not doing what they said they would do, and stop billing me
Please have them finish the job they said they would do

I've contacted this company several times via email, fax & phone calls in reference to $overdraft that were charged on my bank & $overdraft fee that they've added to my billing ADT is operated in a theft manner This is not the first time I've had to go through this with this company I submitted a post-dated payment of $to be drafted through my bank account on 9/29/ ADT process the payment immediately on 9/23/without my consent which resulted in an overdraft on my account My bank charged me $fee and ADT also charged my account $fee This stealing company owes me a total of $ I have emailed & faxed them my bank statement showing the overdraft But they have totally ignored it
