I have been a customer for over years I have had several issues with the system and ADT has been at my house multiple times (just this year) ADT always had an excuse for why the alarm would malfunction, they did even replace a few things....however, I did not get my system for free I paid $for the install and equipment My issue is when the system does go down it it usually weeks for them to come and fix they system They DO NOT credit you for the inconvenience of no use Also I had an instance where the alarm was set-off, and the police did not respond for hours When I said something I was told ADT is not a priority call for police I have since looked into this (I have a friend married to a deputy sheriff) and it was confirmed Since learning this, I have installed cameras and called to cancel ADT Well, were we given the run around Five people, and over an hour later - I am told I have to wait days for it to be cancelled and I have to pay a cancellation fee and maintenance fee of $103! I didn't even know I was still in a contract since I only agreed to a two yr commitment and I had years Maintenance fee?? For fixing something that I already paid for? I could see if I got their equipment for fee but come on....Also, at this point they are willing to give a discounted monthly rate - really, but not compensate when the stupid thing is malfunctioning
and cannot be used for the month? I think ADT is UNBELIEVEABLE and I would NOT recommend ADT to anyone!!

Despite cancelling my service on 2/25/2015, ADT continued to bill me for my service
On or before 1/- I called ADT to discuss cancellation, in anticipation of relocating from my house to a neighborhood where the police direct-monitor alarm systems (on 2/25) Received E-mail survey request follow up from ADT asking for feedback on my contact with their customer service folks
2/24/- Closed on new house / took possession of house

2/25/- Phone call from Shane *** of ADT He called me, following up on the cancellation of my service, and spoke with me about why I cancelled my service During our conversation, I explained how I moved to University *** where the police direct monitor their own alarms

I was with ADT for yearsDuring this time they raised my rate times going from $44.16/month all the way to $to monitor two doors, two motions and a fire detectorAfter the last rate hike I decided to find other monitoring service for my system and found a great new option at $32/monthI forgot to call ADT immediately to cancel my services and did not think about it again until I saw a new $monthly charge on my credit card on April 4thHowever, when I called to cancel my services with ADT not only would they not refund me the prorated amount for my April bill they informed me that my contract required days notice to cancel so they would actually be charging my credit card one last time in May for an Additional $which they would refund me the prorated portion of after my contract officially ends on May 14th The costumer service rep was extremely rude and gave me a hard time for not being up on the fine print of a contract I had signed over years agoSo if you are thinking of signing on with ADT be prepared to see regular rate hikes and for them to stick it to you on the way outHard to figure out how they are still the number one provider of home securityWith these types of moves there has got to be a couple of companies ready to provide better customer service at a lower rate in order to take them out

I was a customer with Protectron and then ADT-Protectron from October to October at the address *** *** *** *** *** *** I moved from that address on October 15th to XXXXX XXXth *** *** *** *** on October 31st, Prior to moving from the *** residence, I contacting a member from ADT-Protectron and asked them to discontinue service on October 15th, Following the move, and when reviewing information from a bank account that I no longer use as my primary account, I noticed that a charge from "ADT-Protectron" occurred for the months of November and December 2015, and from "ADT" for the months January-April ($total)In April 2016, I contacted ADT and asked why I continue to be charged when a) I canceled the service, and b) I no longer own t

Failure to call PBSO in a timely manner after I informed the dispatcher of a potential life threatening emergency
On June 4, 2016, my ADT alarm sounded because the front door of my house was opened After I informed the ADT dispatcher to call PBSO because my year old daughter was home alone and if an intruder was inb my house, this could be life threatening The dispatcher called me at 6:PM That conversation lasted seconds ADT did not INITIATE a call to PBSO until 6:mi9nutes later

I signed up for ADT alarm service in ADT states I have a contract for three yearsThe billing, unbeknownst to me was increased every month without my knowledge or consentI called ADT and spoke with a supervisor, Kasey, who told me she would email me a copy of the contractKasey never emailed me the contract, and refused to remove the excessive billing charges from my accountI am extremely upset by these deceptive business practices, and that I have been charged more than the original agreed upon monthly contractual amountI would like the charges that I did not agree to refunded and I would like no more fraudulent charges to my account with themPlease help ADT refuses to correct the issue and will not even provide me a contract that I have allegedly agreed to

Nonstop Harassment After Being Told That an Issue was Resolved
We contracted with ADT to provide home security servicesAfter the three year contract expired, we decided to contract with another providerWe contacted ADT and cancelled our accountADT continued billing usIt took (at least) two more phone calls to have the account cancelledADT has since pursued collecting the balance on the accountAfter a few phone calls, I was told that the issue would be resolved and that we had a zero balance due on the accountThis was two weeks agoWe are now getting more phone calls looking to collect on an account that I was told was closed

My wife and I called ADT on February 11, to see about upgrading our system, when the gentleman informed us that he was unable to do anything without charging us for new equipment and additional fees I asked him to cancel our service He said, "ok." I cancelled my ADT service within the approved 3-day window I returned $worth of equipment to them on 8/12/16, fo r which I was to receive a refund in 7-business days I have called times to request my refund, most recently on 10/12, and each time I was told that my refund was "coming in 7-business days." I am due a refund in the amount of $immediately

For a year now I've called their corporate office to take of my account and they never returned my call nor did they have Sabrina return my calls
I'm permanently disabled and it makes no sense even if I wasn't what I've dealt with trying to get my account fixed
