I informed the representative that I needed the line installed and was informed that they would do the installation when the delivery took place or I would have never purchased the product. They never installed the line. The unit they call replacement was bought at an additional $1042 over the $742.00 unit origally purchased which was defective and I was only given $600 credit toward new unit. I am unable to access the refigerator part due to the company not informing me of the correct sizes for use with this unit. Yeah it fits in the spot fine but there is not enough clearance to open the doors to access the unit. We have very little access to the refrigerator and need a different refrigerator.

GE doles out parts without regard to the real problems, so each visit results in only a partial fix. There is always another part to order, and time ticks by. Thanksgiving is next week and I am still without a reliably functioning range. It has been two months and more than six technician visits. I need a solution to this situation, and GE is not providing it.Regards,[redacted]

[redacted] I gave since researched the problem with the dishwasher. It appears to be. kNOWN GE issue which is a problem with the door latch not allowing the door to seal which prevents the dishwasher from operating. Further research shows that the cost of a replacement door latch is $20.00. I hardly feel $20.00 is a good faith act from GE despite GE offering to pay for the part. The $99.00 service fee in my opinion is excessive particularly when the dishwasher has been used approximately 2 times in the rinse cycle only. GE is not standing behind their product.

The glass top is the correct part we have just changed the design. Also, the one she had does have a defect so the tech is ordering another part and will install it.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I have been in contact with [redacted] via email. So far the only offer they can make is for me to have to buy at a reduced dollar value an oven of my choosing. The cost out of my pocket far outweighs the cost GE would incur to provide me the oven at that value given everything has been on deep sales plus I get employee pricing. So they have offered basically for me to buy a 2000 dollar oven for 1300 dollars (exact replacement) or for 800 I can buy a similar one valued at about 1800. GE will claim the oven they offer is priced at 3300 dollars which to a person that doesn't work for GE would be true normally. This past week they had been on sale reduced remarkably, plus additional due to the 4th of july. Making the oven I own if I repurchased today, delivered and installed at 2000. Not 3300. I would've expected them to know this and offer the price based on what it would cost me and not them.Normally this would be a decent exchange because I can sell my 3500 dollar oven that is 3 years old and use the funds to then turn around and buy the oven of my choice but they have also told me that they have to take and scrap the old one. Not to do any RCA to determine cause of failure but just to scrap. Making the whole offer of reduced pricing even worse. I cant see coming out of pocket any more than I have. All im asking for is a working correctly oven, out of the box. This one has not.In addition to the above offer, I now have attached photos of the failed components from the oven. You can see the spreader which is metal has melted onto the igniter causing it to fail. Who knows how long that has been going on. So now my case becomes not only a failing part issue but it becomes a safety issue because molten metal is a serious fire hazard.GE now knows they have melting components in their ovens. I expected more of a concern from them on this issue. So far nothing. If by chance these parts fail again I would then be required to raise a safety issue.In the meantime since GE is not offering to replace the oven free of charge, the other request to satisfy this problem (now with the exception of the melting metal components) was to offer as long as I am the owner of the oven lifetime free replacement including parts and labor for issues surrounding the failing igniters. If they are so very confident in the repair they had made at this time, its a very simple approval to provide this warranty. And yes its only to the igniter parts replaced as part of this issue.If this is acceptable to them, [redacted] can email me a warranty sheet stating those facts. This case can then be closed as satisfied. If not, then I guess it will remain as an unresolved issue. Until the next failure. Regards, [redacted]
