This consumer requires service on her year old refrigerator. She wants us to repair this unit at no charge because she has required service in the past. She has never paid for a service call. I did not agree to her request but as a gesture of goodwill I offered to schedule the call, supply the parts at no charge and discount the labor charge by percent. She rejected my offer

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I did Receive a phone call from GE saying, they will Not resolve my problem They did say that I need to return the product to the dealership where it was purchased to get a refund In order for me to do this I need GE to call *** *** and give them authorization for me to return the hot water heater to receive a refundThere number is ***. I have included the notes from the last tech visit for you records. The tech found nothing wrong with the dryer. Only the venting. "Tech called to report that he had been to the home times becaused customer complains that dryer takes 2-cycles to dry clothesToday he arrived to
find a lot of (queen size) sheets in the dryer and they were dryWhen he tested the dryer, he found that the unit had been pushed so close to the rear wall that the exhaust vent was crushedTech explained this to the customer and she "refuses to believe" that is the issue."

I have reviewed the consumer's latest and our response remains unchanged. He has a service contract on the refrigerator and we will be glad to repair it. Also, we will be glad to inspect his cooktop for any safety issues he is claiming. All he has to do is call me back to schedule this and when the tech arrives let him do his job. In addition, if he is conversing with the product safety commission I will be glad to speak to them as well. I offered this previously and the consumer refused

When Ms*** called me to follow up on whether the second washer was picked up and I received my check I was at work and couldn't talk.I should have called her back but I was tied up for a few days and frankly had had it dealing with this situation for four months But in all good conscience I cannot agree with the resolution. GE sent me a check of $to cover the first weeks of laundry mat fees but it ended up twice that by the time I was able to get another washer delivered. And then when my new washer was delivered that company said they couldn't use the stainless steel hoses that I had paid $to have the GE washer installed so I was out that money as wellNot to mention all my time and aggravation having to deal with this problem.I felt that GE should have offered to send me a check of at least $to try and salvage our relationship

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation I left *** a voicemail today 6/21/to discuss her service experience and to see how the follow up service call yesterday 6/20/went. The consumer is asking for reimbursement of $to compensate for her rent
relief offered to her tenant. GE will not be refunding $420. This was an agreement between *** and the tenant.
