Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situationI spoke with *** *** this morning 9/12/16. She’s been involved in multiple troubleshooting calls and service calls. Her dishwasher still isn’t getting her dishes clean and dry. She has a service call
scheduled today 9/12/with ***’s Appliance to install another part. If the service doesn’t resolve the consumer’s issues we will exchange her dishwasher at no charge Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance *** ***

We have been given no estimated time that the backordered part will arriveWe have a completely disabled washing machine and GE has been poor with updatesFurthermore, they had the part shipped directly to our home, with no expected date of arrival, and we are to contact them when it's ready to schedule a repair appointmentShouldn't this all be on GE for their poor craftsmanship? Also, why can I not get a date that this part is expected to arrive? I cannot go MONTHS without a washing machine as we have too many people in our homeAlso, explain why the part is on backorder -- is it because too many washing machines have broken? Finally, there was a change in the condition of the washing machine since the technician came to view it, AND told us it was safe to useNO NEW TECHNICIAN HAS COME TO ASSESS THE WASHING MACHINE!!! How do we know this is going to fix it?!

instead of calling the GE technician back out to complete the repair, in which he had already paid, Mr*** took it upon himself to order the parts he had determined were needed and make the repair himselfMr*** paid GE for service on 10/19/in the amount of $As a gesture of goodwill GE has offered to reimburse him $of that repairMr*** has declined the offer at this timeShould he wish to accept he is welcome to give me a return call at ###-###-#### (8-EST) and I would be happy to process the reimbursement.Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.Sincerely,*** ***

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear.I received a phone call from Ms *** of GE who repeated to me what I was told by the service representative who came to my houseHowever, the labor charge would be $and *** the service representative said the scratches would most likely appear againTherefore, I did not go ahead and change the glass cooktop I was told by Ms *** that she, herself has scratches on the cooktop At this point, I want on record that this is therefore a defective product I only used the cooktop for months because I am a snowbird in Florida

The "concessions" that GE is mentioning in their response was offered prior to having to send their technicians three times because of botched repair attempts The age of the appliance is irrelevant here since I am complaining about the quality of the repair service and their customer service response, not the appliance itself GE is not willing to take responsibility for wasting hours of my time and potentially damaging my refrigerator's freezer motor.

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situationThe counter-top microwave in question was put into use during April with a one-year warranty It is now close to four years beyond the one-year warranty expiration. GE Consumer Relations has offered to
provide a $Goodwill Certificate that could be used as a rebate against the cost of a replacement product. This offer remains open for Mr*** to accept through 3/10/ Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance

GE service checked the washer and found that the unit was worknig as designed. The consumer was still not happy with the water level so now the dealer has exchanged her unit for a higher end model that allows her to add more water

The Cooktop investigation is underwayThe investigator will get back to GE when needed; GE doesn't need to tell us what to do in this matter I will call GE to have them look at it again but one thing I would like to mention; GE's tech worked on my Cooktop even though he was instructed very clearly TO LOOK BUT DO NOT PERFORM ANY REPAIRS but he still worked on and left the entire unit lose causing it to move when it is used which will probably scratch the counter top.For the refrigerator; GE tech "***" came and looked at the new part that was received to fixHe looked at it and said it was defective and the exact same part which he has already tried a couple of times and that didn't fix the problem He took that part with him and said he would come back That was the 6th trip within the last months for the exact same issue.
