I have been in touch with *** *** regarding her complaint regarding her GE refrigerator
I have confirmed that one of the parts was delivered this morning and the second part is going to be delivered tomorrow by 10:
AM. She is scheduled for repair from Hagedorn Appliance on Monday, June 15th
I will follow up with her next week to make sure the unit was repaired and that she doesn't have any further questions or concerns.
As an additional gesture of good will, I will agree to extend her warranty for an additional year. Please let me know if this is satisfactory resolution for *** ***

GE has sent her numerous replacement panelsincluding one that she initially indicated was a good part. She later indicated that under differentlight she could see some type of flaw. ***,Here's the thing... I replaced the drive-cup last week and it jammed again... The ice-bucket wasn't even completely filled with new ice. If you have not personally experienced this problem... It takes pulling/pounding/shaking the ice-bucket to release the jammed drive-cup from the augerSo much that the items from the top of the refrigerator almost vibrate off the top and onto the floor.Most troubling are the shards of plastics from the drive-cup that drop into the ice-bucketThen eventually end up dropping out of the ice-shoot into a drinking-cup. It is very disturbing to find plastic-shards in my drinking-cupOr even worse to swallow the shards of plastic. I believe this is a consumer safety issue. Complaints dating back to 2008:***

I spoke with a GE representative on Friday who was very apologetic and said he would send us a letter covering another year of warranty without costThis seems nice enough but the issue I still have, as I said to him is the serviceIf this refrigerator, which has required repairs twice in it's first year of purchase. Each repair took a week to complete serviceThis time I was told I can recover $of food items lost IF I contact their insurance company...which I haven't done but plan to doThis is all such as hassle in time (I've spent over hours on the phone and time writing them, contacting the Revdex.com...)
I want a new refrigerator OR some statement that if this refrigerator goes out again we will have a repairman here within hours. I want them to send me a check for $without having to call, wait, explain again to THEIR insurance company that we lost food (more than $btw)
