The balance of the bill was the warranty that he purchased through ***. GE did authorize and pay for service calls beyond the warranty period for the unit in question. The service company has reported back that the unit is functioning properly after testing the unit

GE Service tech was at my home on Saturday 4/30/for a scheduled appointment to replace a water valve that was ordered from a previous tech to repair my washerWhen the tech showed up he had asked what the issue was so I explained to him the multiple problems and handed him the valve to replace itAt this time he started the washer to run through a cycle then about minutes later decided he was going to called engineering to help him outThey made him put the machine in a service mode to check for any codes which there were noneSo the tech (***) said he could not explain why it was doing what it was his only explanation was the clothes were washing dry for the knotting and no reason why they were coming out of the rinse cycle warm and not coldHe said he was sending it back tot customer relations and did no replace the valueI then contacted the representative (***) who said the machine was operating fine and use the extra rinse for more water but yet its still leaving fabric softener stains and running longer then the cycle time plus the digital display don't shut down when wash is finished stays on until manually shut machine off.Thank you* ***

This rebate is by far the very least you could do Having said that, I do not accept this as the final resolve from this problem This microwave may be five years old according to your manufacturing numbers, but I havent had it that long This microwave is defective and a fire hazard The potential for this microwave to catch on fire, I have to believe, is very HIGH I would like to be provided with a replacement (NEW not refurbished) Microwave, you can have this one back ....as it is a fire hazard and has the ability to cause damage or death

The technician did not explained to me why the freezing occurredHe didn't answered my questions, saying that he is not sure why that is happeningHe never mentioned to me the blocking fanThe container is not big enough to block the fan and it fits the shelf, leaving plenty of roomI was present in the room when technician made calls to consumer advocates and his coworkers, but I didn't hear a word about blocked fanThat being said I have good reasons to doubt his inspection report.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I have spoken with Ms*** and apologized for the trouble she's had with her GE washing machine. She informed me that the unit was fixed yesterday but the technician was going to go ahead and order a drain pump so she
doesn't have future issues with this part. *** and *** will contact her when the part has been received so they can schedule a last return date I have also offered Ms*** a one-year warranty (beyond the manufacturer's warranty) as a good will gesture She has accepted this as a fair resolution to her complaint. We have already bought back the consumer's washer
