Nobody from Cincinnati bell has spoken to us in reference to schedule an appointment for this service. They apparently wrote to Revdex.com a date/time that we knew nothing about? That day there will be nobody home for this service. Typically, a company schedules a time and date for a service? This is not a good day nor time. We would appreciate an actual scheduled appointment how any other company would do? FYI. Three days have already been scheduled for this service with nobody showing up nor even contacting us about the cancellation. It will not be scheduled early any morning disrupting our hectic schedules risking this inconvenience again. They can't even call to schedule this apparent appointment with us, so how can we be sure they'll even show when we do get scheduled? We don't feel comfortable closing this until the service actually gets rendered, given this entire situation Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this may or may not resolve my complaint.
If they could confirm the total monthly cost, including taxes, etc., until 7/20/16 that would assist in closing this case to our satisfaction. It is hard to tell based on the prices listed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. I believe that the proposal was deliberately misleading. I have a proposal from [redacted] for 85.07 for both lines and 15 meg internet. I expect to go with them very shortly.

Cincinnati BellDear [redacted],I appreciate very much your attention to this matter. And I do accept that we can finally bring this is[redacted] to an end. I wanted to note though just when my phone service with you stopped working- the very beginning of the problem. Looking again at my notes and emails concerning this matter, I do see that it was May 13th that my telephone didn't produce a dial tone.I ended up very quickly porting my number to an old [redacted] Mobile phone that I had. I was very anxious to keep my number working. I'd been told by one of your representatives at that point that I would be charged to have someone come out and determine what the problem was, and that there would be more charged if repairs had to be made. [redacted] Mobile was only to be temporary, as they could not offer what Cincinnati Bell had been offering. I called Cincinnati Bell within three weeks of the [redacted] activation.A Cincinnati Bell representative arrived here on June 26th at the same time that the [redacted] reps were here installing/wiring. I just thought that I told him that [redacted] was a replacement and that Cincinnati Bell would be asked to let go of my phone number at that point. I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding that allowed the other Cincinnati Bell rep to come here on July 8th.Thanks again for your help, and I am sorry that it came to this closure. I began business with Cincinnati Bell Telephone in 1991 when I bought my first house.Sincerely,[redacted]

RE: [redacted]
Cincinnati Bell is responding to your RevDex.com complaint.
As we discussed over the phone Cincinnati Bell...
is
currently aware of a Fioptics cable issue affecting certain customers causing freezing
when changing channels. This error is being worked on by our network engineers.
I understand you said you are experiencing other issues
as well and a repair dispatch has been offered which you refused. Cincinnati Bell
cannot address these cable issues if we cannot troubleshoot or send a tech to
the residence.
Regarding your billing concern, the bill dated 7/28/2015
was higher because of an $8.95 late fee. As we discussed this is the minimum late
fee for non-regulated cable and internet services.
This is the first time your account was not paid in full
on time so I have issued an adjustment for the late fee. You now have a -$8.95
balance on your account.
If you change your mind and would like to schedule a
repair visit you may contact Fioptics Repair at ###-###-#### and reference
ticket # [redacted].
It is never Cincinnati Bell’s intention to upset or
frustrate our customers. On behalf of Cincinnati Bell I apologize if you feel
we have done so in this matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.I was told when I left the company and when I returned the equipment I would have a zero balance. I only had internet with that company. I didnt have a balance of that amount. If I did I dont know how and wasnt made aware of it. If I owe anything maybe one month of service and I will pay one month of service immediately but its unfair for years to say I owe over 262.00 for equipment, but you had the equipment for 3 years but kept putting this negative mark on my credit report and now saying its 132.00 You were wrong about me owing the equipment and you are wrong about this service balance as well. This is unfair to your customer to report false information for years and now you realize I turned it in even though I have been writing you for 3 years that I did to now say I owe a bill. This seem like fraud. I dont trust this.
Regards,
[redacted]
Attached is the Contract, Terms & Conditions and Verbal recording of the agreement. The original contract was agreed upon in 2011 and have renewed every year since 2013 as stated in the agreement. The early termination fees are valid for the service.
From: [redacted]Date: Tue, Dec 30, 2014 at 10:13 AMSubject: Complaint ID [redacted]To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>I am writing to request that my complaint be reopened. There has been no action taken on the part of Cincinnati Bell as outlined in their response, dated 12/17/2014."Please respond letting me know that you would indeed like to remove your home phone and I will process the order to remove. I will also backdate the order to 12/6 so your bill will adjust accordingly."I responded that I accept their resolution to my complaint however there has been no action to resolve. My phone remains connected and my bill has not been adjusted as described in their response. My next bill is to be paid in 2 days, 1/1/2015. Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. The Cincinnati Bell representative stated that "The monthly charge for service will not be prorated for the final partial month of service. The full monthly service fees will apply, even if your service is active for only a partial month."I was not given a response and explanation to the fact that Cincinnati Bell's account cancellation policy utilizes the concept of charging customers for services that Cincinnati Bell has not rendered. How can this be considered a legal policy?

It is Cincinnati Bell's policy to charge for the modem: The modem fee covers the following:
Modem (Optional - Wireless Home Networking): Is required with every HSI sale.
Wirelesss Home Networking can connect all of the customer's home computers, laptops, or printers to one High Speed...
router.
Cincinnati Bell supplies and configures all of the necessary equipment to get the network up and running.
A Wired Modem and Wireless Modem are the same price: $7.99 a month (how to explain this charge, see below)
The monthly Wireless Networking charge includes full network support by our Zoom Town Help Desk, SSID and Security set-up, advanced settings (port forwarding for gaming / slingbox), and best of all, it's guaranteed. If it stops working, we'll replace it, free of charge.
The integrated modem will broadcast a wireless signal throughout a home or small office setting. Additionally, customers HSI service will operate via the integrated modem, providing one device and removing additional wires and clutter in a home or office.
A Wireless Network can increase the usefulness of your home computers in numerous ways: Share Files, Share Printers, Share your Internet Connection, Multi player gaming, Computer mobility, Go Wireless.
Although equipment can be purchased elsewhere, Cincinnati Bell routers are the only hardware tested for our High Speed network and are the only equipment fully supported by Cincinnati Bell.
Our price of the modem and the unlisted number have increased due to the increased cost of doing business.
Cincinnati Bell is working hard on your behalf to hold prices as low as possible, however some rates on your next bill may be impacted due to increases in our cost to do business. We value you as a customer and are committed to providing you with the latest products and technical advancements, while maintaining the highest level of reliability and service. Thank you for your continued business.
Cincinnati Bell is committed to providing our customers with outstanding service. We apologize for any inconvenience we’ve caused you, and appreciate the opportunity to better serve you going forward.

RE: ###-###-####,[redacted]
Cincinnati Bell is responding to your RevDex.com complaint.
I have been advised by the sales manager at the [redacted]
location at the original...
point of sale the 2 [redacted] phones were rang out
free per the 2 year contract discount [redacted] was offering. The phones were
then later returned through the system and rang out using the [redacted]
program, in which there is no money down for the phones, except for sales tax,
the phone is then billed in installments on your monthly statement from [redacted].
The sales manager has advised this was done by your request so you would
receive the monthly service discount on each line [redacted] honors to its
customers that take advantage of the [redacted] program rather than sign a contract.
There was also a credit of $180.44 issued to your Cincinnati
Bell account as a courtesy for the confusion regarding Cincinnati Bell services
being billed one month in advance.
I apologize if there was any confusion or
miscommunication during this transaction. However Cincinnati Bell is unable to
waive or adjust any terms, and/or charges or fees incurred on your [redacted] account.
It is never Cincinnati Bell’s intention to confuse or
frustrate our customers. On behalf of Cincinnati Bell I apologize if we have
done so in this matter.

[redacted] This is in reference to complaint number ID[redacted]. In my account on the Cincinnati Bell website, they still have me owning them 45.00 Plus dollars. They were suppose to have taken off all charges, and cancelled the account. Until this is done nothing has changed. They are still trying to charge me for services they never provided. I cannot ignore this, because I have seen this type of practice before. Where some time passes, and they bring this cancelled bill back up as saying that I owe them money. I would like to see on my account that they have removed all charges! Desired Outcome: Remove Charges from the online account. Send me a notice of this at: [redacted]. Stating that there are no charges for this account. Order# [redacted]. Account#[redacted].

Cincinnati Bell is responding to your Revdex.com complaint.
I have reviewed your account and the disconnect...
order you referenced did complete and the billing was backdated to 2/20/15.
The final bill reflecting the disconnect order printed on 4/22/15 in the amount of $29.65. I have also adjusted this balance to $0 as it was for late fees and equipment charges that were not applicable to you since your service should have been disconnected.
I apologize that this order took so long to complete. I am documenting your experience and sending it to the representative’s supervisors for coaching and training.
Your account is now final and the balance due is $0.
If you have any further questions regarding your account you can contact the Billing Department at ###-###-####. You can also verify the $0 balance due by logging into your MyAccount at cincinnatibell.com.
It is never Cincinnati Bell’s intention to upset or frustrate our customers. On behalf of Cincinnati Bell I apologize if we have done so in this matter.

I do not consider the matter closed until the card is in my possession. I did call the rebate center, again. They told me, like every other time, that they are sending it to me. This time they were reasonable enough to change my address and waive the fee to do so. They gave me a different date then you did as to when it was last supposedly sent. I am "supposed" to receive the new card in 15 days. I've heard this numerous times before so we'll see.

Problem: Cincinnati bell charged me a $6 fee to take my payment over the phone with a representative. They never disavowed there would be a few for taking a payment over the phone and they locked me out of my account online so o can't pay the bill online.Desired Outcome: Refunder the $6 fee charged...
to my account and any late fees and disconnect fees
