I recently had a leak in my crawling space and called Fidelity National Home Warranty if they could repair it, but the plumber they referred (H&R Plumbing) refused saying the water had to be removed firstThis meant that I had to hire another plumber to do the workUpon completion, it was discovered that I had a crack in the slab as ground water was seeping its way inI again called Fidelity National Home Warranty and the same referred plumber said they didn't repair slabsBut the Fidelity National Home Warranty representative told me over the phone that it is covered
We discovered our water heater was leaking which was causing damage to our floors and it took four days and a lot of phone calls to finally get someone outWhen the repair tech came out and checked the water heater he said it needed to be replaced and it is an old water heaterAfter talking to his supervisor he told us he can't replace it because Fidelity want allow it that he has to "cap" the leak which he said is just like putting a band aid on it and as old as the water heater is it is going to go out soonHe said the faucet on the water heater is obsolete now because its old and not used anymore that they are garbageHe told us the water heater needs to be replaced sooner then later but they are at the mercy of what Fidelity allowsWe feel like we have a ticking time bomb on our hand because Fidelity does not want to pay to replace itWe had so much trouble getting someone out this time and now have to rip up our floors I can only imagine what is going to happen when it break

We are attempting to work through Fidelity National Homeowners Warranty (FNHW) to repair our furnaceIn the past hours, we have spoken with at least a dozen different FNHW reps and spent more than six hours on holdWe are trying to work through the system, but it seems impossibleSince we are in a remote area (** *** *** *** *** FNHW has no contractors to respond to our service requestWe have brought in two different contractors to look at the problem, and FNHW has argued price and requirements with both of themNow they are saying they may need to send out their contractor (?) to look at it before they can authorize the high amount to replace the furnaceWe are at days and counting with no heat and no expectation that it will be resolved anytime soonFNHW makes you feel helpless and keeps you going in circlesThey have wasted our time, and also the time of the four different contractors from two different companies that have been at our home to investigate the
I purchased a home warranty with this company for over $*** about months ago and since then have had to file two claimsBoth times their providers of choice took a very long time to come out and when they did, they provided bad serviceFirst was the air conditioningAfter sending in all the paperwork that showed the units were in working condition, we finally got approval to make the needed repairsdays after the claim was madeThe company we were forced to use came out to our house, made a huge mess, leaving grease stains on our newly painted ceiling and leaving without doing any workThey told us they would need to come back, but never didWe ended up having to pay a separate company out of pocket to make the necessary repairs, because it was the summer in Arizona and not having a working AC for days is not feasible and not safeI repeated complained to Fidelity but was ignored by multiple customer service repsSecond was our pool heaterWe sent in proof that prior

I contacted them to file a complain that the light fixture in my bathroom is not workingI specifically told them the problem is in the light fixtureThey dispatched a company to diagnose the problemThe electrician said the problem is the light fixture which is not covered under warrantyI told him and told fidelity I knew the problem is with the light fixture from the get to when I called to file a claim and I mentioned that to you, so why did you dispatch and why are you asking me to pay the $** visit fee? The warranty company says I should have read the contract, to know that light fixture is not covered, but I did not and I rely on the customer service representative to inform me that it is not coveredWhy didn’t the customer service representative say it is not covered when I reported the issueI should not be responsible for the $** fee
A home warranty was purchased in July 28, from Fidelity National Home WarrantyOn July 26, they were notified that there was a problem with the refrigerator freezing everythingThe work was contracted out to Sears who did not show up until AugAccording to my tenants the repairman did nothing whatsoever but told the tenant they would come back in a few weeks to replace the thermostatI asked if this was because the part had to be ordered and was told "no, that was just the next time they would be in the area." Obviously a refrigerator cannot wait for weeks to be repairedI wrote and filed a complaint Fidelity a couple of days ago and heard nothing backI finally called them today and after a long wait was told they would have to hear from Sears firstIn the meantime my tenants cannot use their refrigerator

We have had home warranty from another organization before, and we were used to competent service and accountability
Not so with Fidelity Home WarrantyOn several occasions, they have sent out incompetent organizations to find a problem, couldn't figure out to solve the problem and only then informed us that it was out of scopeIn just one instance (a lighting issue), we then retained a competent organization to find and correct the addresses it and located the problem in a location that had been missed and was well within scopeWhen we called to ask Fidelity to cover it, they said they don't address those issues over the phone
On another occasion, our bedroom air conditioning stopped working in the midst of a sweltering summerSomeone came out, said he realized he needed to use a ladder and needed an additional person to come to address the problem and leftWhen we asked someone to come by soon, they waited another 2-weeksAnd then Fidelity said that we owed it for the first visit in which the guy without the ladder did nothingWe then were told that the charge for that original non-visit would go down as a denial of payment, affecting our credit rating
Fidelity seems like an ironic name for this organization, and I would encourage others to stay as far from this company as it possobly can
