I filed a warranty claim on a power outage in my refridgerator door water and ice dispenserThe technician came to my house, looked at my fridge for minutes and then leftFidelity then called me and told me that my claim was deniedThey said that the technician told them the issue was due to a surge and that they consider "surges" as wear and tear and wear and tear is not coveredFirst of all, why on earth do I have a home warranty if they do not cover things that break because of wear and tear? second! I called the tech back and told him that they denied my claim due to his claim of the surgeHe laughed and said he NEVER said the malfunction was due to a surge and said he would call them back and get the issue settledAfter speaking to different managers, each of them giving me different reasons as to why my claim was denied, they chalked it up to being a "pre-existing issue" which is not the case AT ALLI went ahead and sent them copies of our inpspect

We have broken water heater for more than daysEvery time when we follow up, they send an unskilled technician who says some part is faulty and requests Fidelity to replace the partFidelity takes days to authorize and then days for ordering the partTechnician replaces the part and finds it is not workingWhole cycle goes againIt takes on an average mins to get to talk to Fidelity customer serviceThis is not going anywhereThe money we have paid for the services is down the drainThere is no way to get out since they say I need to talk to one of the departments which I can never successfully connectOn top of that we had to spend $** for the technician to come and see the issueWhole thing is frustratingPlease keep away from this companyI wish I could give zero stars

I bought this house with the existing water heater that is in placeIt was making massive knocking/banging noises and I noticed the hot water didn't last as long as when I first moved in a few months before*** *** *** *** sent out a companyHe said it is making hot water, can't replace itI then asked why I didn't see water in my yard; didn't he flush the unit at least? He was about to leave without telling me anything, but he answered me: "You have inches of sediment at the bottom of the tankThere are huge ROCKS in your tank making that knocking soundI can't flush the tank because the rocks are too big and will break the drain"I said that sounds like a broken water heater to me, you can't even service it, and the 4" of sediment is already affecting length of hot water in the shower*** *** *** *** is notorious for scamming out of honoring warranties and *** is a goldmine of star, very angry and frustrated reviewsAs angry as I was, I b

The worst experience everHaving a issue with Gas RangeThey cut the service fee and the person didn't show till daysAfter multiple followups they send the person and the person just seeing ok burner is not working he order and he told he will come once burner is orderedAfter coming after a week he is telling oh panels are missing and he cannot replace as this he cannot DoThis is the work order and every time this guys are tell this is not there or that is not there and puts blame on the customerNow the manufacturer is no longer having that parts so they told as you are not getting that parts we cannot replace your burnerThe customer care person to are also very rude and if we ask anything they are telling did you bother to read the contract before calling us This is ridiculousIt better to switch to some other home warrantyHopefully other home warranty are not this rude and they know there things good

Fidelity National Home Warranty has illegally denied my claim leaving me to live without any electrical power to my bedroom, bathroom or closetFNHW also delayed deciding my claim for weeks while in lived (and continue to live) in sub-standard living conditionsFNHW denied my claims based on the electrician's assumption/guess that the short in the wiring is due to either a nail, a rodent or the wires having melted through their insulationElectrical wiring and rodent infestations are both covered by my policy yet FNHW denies the claim saying they will only cover "wear and tear" which is undefinable and extremely vagueElectrical wiring and rodent damage are on the other hand specific and both are explicitly stated in the contract agreementFNHW is blatantly violating the terms of our agreement and taking weeks to decide the claim is also unacceptable and demands explanationI demand that FNHW respect the terms of our agreement and performs the repairs to my electrical

I bought my house in September 2017, the dishwasher started leaking and ruin my whole kitchen floorI reached out to the home warranty and they wouldn’t cover the floorsThen they had a company come out that said we abused the yr old dishwasher and they weren’t going to cover itI asked for a manager and they said one would call me back same day and that never happenedI wrote a review on google and they called me the next day to offer $check but they wanted to deduct $for the “service charge”I told them to have their company come out and fix it for that price and they declinedThis business is a fraudulent company and many reviews are the same as mine

Filed a repair work order and it's been difficult getting resolutionI have no hot water in my house for straight days and can't get anyone to help usNobody cares at this company

The company seems to go out of its way to ensure you do not get to speak with a manager
I had a clarifying question and asked the rep if I could please speak with a manager He informed me that the manager was busy and he would call me back I received a return call shortly after but the man did not identify himself as a manager and only echoed what the rep had already said So I called back asked to speak to the gentleman who called me back They informed me that he was the manager Again, he was not available So I asked that he call me after because I was going into a meeting from 3- Sure enough, he calls me right at 3: I can only assume he did that purposely to avoid talking to me again So, I call back after my meeting and sure enough, he was at lunch I asked to speak to a different manager and of course, no one was available So the phone reptold me he would have the specific manager call me back after his lunch break However, he never ever called me back

I am filing a complaint as the sales associates for the warranty company lied about the coverage their warranty policy in order to get my service payment of $*** Fidelity National Home Warranty was notified that I had *** *** and the manifold/maniblock connectors were leakingMy husband and I spoke with several Sales/Customer services associates to explain the plumbing issue and they confirmed that the manifold/maniblock was covered under warrantyWe confirmed this with several employees as we did not want to be charged $*** for a service fee for an item that was not covered under warrantyAll sales/customer service representatives we spoke with assured us that the manifold/maniblock was coveredThe company was fully aware of the issue as they had to contract several different plumbing companies in order to come to the house as they were not suited for this type of workEach time a work order was made, we spoke to the contracted plumber and repeated the issue wit

A couple days after moving in to my new home, the garage door springs brokeI called Fidelity, set up a service request, paid my deductible and waited for a tech to come outSeveral days later a tech came out, spent 5mins there and told me he couldn't repair the spring because he doesn't know how to work on that typeLater that day I received a call from Fidelity to tell me it would be $to convert the springs to something more traditionalOr they would pay out the claim for $(subtract the $I already paid, and they were offering me $to fix it myself) I didn't accept either option and asked my agent if she could helpThe next day, while unable to answer my phone, I received missed calls and voicemails trying to arrange a follow up appointmentWhen I called the new tech, I set up another appointment, left work again to meet with the tech, only to spend another 5min discussing how he probably couldn't fix the springs, and that he would need to convert them for $I received a follcall from that tech to say that he wasn't trained on the "New" system and wouldn't be until April, so he couldn't helpAfter that, I received another call and message from Fidelity, that they couldn't find anyone to fix my door, and that I could go to the website of the door spring manufacturer and find a local technician myself, and that he/she would need to call Fidelity to get clearance to perform the work, and that I would need to get an authorization number, and that I would need to submit a form for reimbursement, and that they would only pay what they felt appropriate for the jobBasically they handed off their work to me, the clientSo I went to the website, I found a tech in less than minutes, he asked a few questions over the phone and knew exactly what kind of door I had, what type of springs I had, how it would need to be fixed, and quoted my a price of $300, and would be able to fix it the next day Why couldn't Fidelity do that? They had pictures of the door from both of the techs they sent out, and knew how to find the right person, but put the work on me to doI figure, so long as Fidelity gives me my deductible back, its worth it to just pay to have it done and tell Fidelity to go fly a kiteI have also provided all this information to my agent so that she can avoid selling this company's products to her clients in the future

Not happy with their serviceTwice now they have taken over a month to resolveFirst issue was with oven and second with plumbingThey hire contractors who can not seem to do the job and then waste time switching themNo good updates when called to ask for themMoSt of the time they Have never heard from their contractorsWill not recommend

This home warranty company has been awful with their communication and serviceThe warranty was purchased with our home in January The company never sent any information out to us regarding our contractIn April (4/7/18) we had a problem with our hot water heater that came with the homeI had to search through the hundreds of loan documents only to find one line with their nameI googled them to find a phone numberWhen I called the representative asked a series of questions (which included the size of the equipment) and said she would have a plumber contact meThey came out two days later and said it was completely shot and needed to be replaced (4/9/18)Said since it was a gallon they would have to order it and would be back at the end of the week to replaceTwo weeks goes by and nothingTried calling the plumber numerous times but only got a voicemailCalled Warranty Company only to be told that they don't cover the gallons because its considered commercialWe

I moved into a new house recently and was given a year of Fidelity Home WarrantyUpon moving into the house, we had a couple of issues- 1) Electrical not working right 2) Non-functioning toilet 3) Non-draining sinkAll of these issues were clearly covered under the warranty and not listed in my disclosures on the houseFidelity sent two workers out to us (an electrician and a plumber) and charged me $** for each visitAll of my claims were denied through no fault of my own even though these issues are supposed to be covered under my contractIn speaking w/ a manager *** (before being disconnected), she found technicalities around why each issue shouldn't be coveredThey were searching for any reason not to complete my service rather than trying to find a way to assist meMy request was that if they didn't want to do the work (Which I believe should be done under the contract), they should've at least refunded my service call fees of $** eachThey were unwilling to do thisI

The terms and conditions are written to protect them with very little that they actually cover I needed extensive cleaning of my AC evaporator coils, which they deemed is routine maintenance even though it requires dismantling and removal of a fair amount of the unit I have the Comprehensive Plus or whatever the plan is called There is routine maintenance that I agree should not be covered in their liability but the services that are needed to be performed here are not routineIf you had a preventive maintenance program and your coils got dirty you would still have to make a separate service call for them to remove and clean the coils They deem it maintenance, I deem it poor policy I am not renewing my contract with the company after this incident

Here is my honest opinion of Fidelity National Home Warranty on claims for my new home in the past months The home warranty I was provided isn't worth the paper it was printed on I am so fed up with Fidelity Home Warranty that I wish I could get money back and pay for the repairs myself instead of being frustrated with the lack of help from this utterly useless warrantyBut I didn't pay for the warranty, so the funds would go back to the former owner I will never recommend this company to a friend, I will not rate them highly for their customer service and I will only change my mind when the company acknowledges that I am not the person responsible for the poor quality of the home I bought I was only there months, roots don't grow that quickly I moved into a termite free home, so how did dead termites eat wires to damage to a working oven?
Claim 1) I had a main sewer blockage due to roots from a city tree within my property It costs me $for the plumber to come out and say he can't clear it out because it is an older home (1962) and doesn't have the wider ports installed in newer homes for his equipment to work I had to spend $2,to have a plumber do what Fidelity Home Warranty could notClaim 2) My oven, which was working at the time of inspection, failed to heat up The oven was working while we were living in the home in the past months Before we moved in, the home was tended for termitesThe $appliance repair team saw dead termites and said that the repair wasn't covered So I don't have an oven now The house only came with appliances, a stove (ok condition), oven (now broken) and dishwasher (replaced due to rust/corrosion) So Fidelity is getting a killer steal on this home, deny claims and don't worry about my fridge, washer, dryer or dishwasher, they are all brand new under warranty from the manufacture

Terrible experience, terrible customer service, they didnt allow me to explain the situation talked over me and they don't listenThe person they sent was an hour late, he did not use any tools, was here for only minutes and then his company said they will be back the following day with the right equipmentThe guy never show upI call fidelity they confirms with me over the phone that everything was approvedI call fidelity at 8:00am there customer service gives me the run around about the situationSo I hired a basic plumber paid out of pocket and took care of the problem in 20mThe next week fidelity sends me a bill for service call when there guy didn't do anthing Fidelity didn't want to hear the problem they just wanted they're service feeOn there website page it states that they are here for there customers People this home warranty is a ripe off don't listen to themIt's cheaper to pay out of pocket then to pay fidelityThey find ways not to do the job but still want to get paid

This company is absolutely terrible to deal withMy dishwasher was not functioning properly so I made a claimFidelity National Home Warranty sent out an appliance repair vendorThe vendor noticed that the junction box was burned outThey installed a new junction box and rather than wiring the dishwasher back up, they installed a plug from the new junction boxThe vendor told us that the dishwasher is now fixed, but you will have to run your disposal while you run your dishwasher because they are on the same switch nowOryou can unplug your disposal each time you want to use your dishwasherThis is totally unacceptable and Fidelity National Home Warranty (***) refused to even waive the $** service feeDO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOME WARRANTY COMPANY when considering a warranty

Fidelity sent over a plumber who removed some branches from the kitchen sink areaAs such, Fidelity does not cover removal of the branchesHowever our tenants complained of the same issue at a later time and I hired a new plumber to remove any roots from the pipesHowever, when the new plumber video scoped the line, he found out that it was calcified grease in the pipes under the flooring of my houseThe new plumber had to hydrojet the area to remove the grease and the pipes are now working fineSince Hydrojetting is covered by Fidelity, I have sent them the invoice on Monday 08/20/and they are not taking my call and have put me on hold for over an hourI am seeking to get reimbursed by FidelityThank youSincerely, *** ***

Worst possible serviceWould rate negative stars, if possibleHad a broken stovetop and requested serviceThe service person came out, said he fixed it, but it was still not workingRequested a recall and we were never able to reach the person againHe closed the claimPlaced a new one and the repair person came to the house, looked at the stove, and said "I can't fix that" and leftNow Fidelity will not waive service charge, AND want me to pay an additional $** just to cancel my account so that I can purchase a policy through another companyWARNING - DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY

First of all, I would like to start with I have been with fidelity home warranty for years, and have referred many clients to themMy air conditioner stopped working, so I called fidelity they send out a technician that stated he was not qualified to complete the repair, because he could not get parts specific to our unitI called fidelity they informed me to call the company that that is qualified to repair my air conditioner have them diagnose the problem to repairI had them come out and they gave me, in writing their diagnosesI sent fidelity
the estimate and was told by fidelity to proceed with the repair and to have our technician explain why he had to replace all parts, which I didI sent fidelity what they asked for and then they told me after a week of calling them daily.I was sent through many different people and mangers on hold for minutes each timeI was hung up on after holding on the phone for minutesI was told I would get a call back did not happenI called again to follow up after my repair that cost me 4,and I was told I would be reimbursedI spoke to another manager and was told they would not reimburse me for the repairsThis is the worst company I have ever dealt withI can't believe this company is still in businessWe as consumers purchase a home warranty,so that we do not have to worry about expensive repairsThis is not the case with fidelityStay away from this companySo, frustrated
