Contacted home warranty insurer concerning failed light in over-the-stove microwaveGave all requested informationCompany sent out service person who did nothing more than get the model number of the unitSubsequently, I was informed the failure was not covered, and I was charged $** for a "service call." When I complained that the representative should have known the product well enough to tell me the issue was not covered and that the representative could have asked for the model number over the phone (obviating the need for the "service" call), I did not get a reasonable responseThe person to whom I made the complaint simply kept repeating that, since someone was sent, the $** was owed, regardless of circumstanceFrom my perspective, the insurer went out of its way to set up conditions to charge $** by systematically avoiding gathering information (model number) or dispensing information (light kits are not covered)
As a realtor for years and being on the other side of a transaction (I am retired and recently purchased a home.) as a buyer with the seller providing a home warranty, I am highly unsatisfied with this particular home warranty I have never used this home warranty provider and am exceedingly happy none of my clients did in the past I will strongly suggest that no one does in the future either and plan on telling my agent as well I hope that since I have owned my home for under a couple of months that I might switch to a more reputable home warranty provider Headed to social media and Facebook I give you negative stars
Fidelity Home Warranty has been sending the same company to repair my fridge over half a dozen times and each time they say it is fixed or the other repairman forgot to connect the water supplyNow they sent someone out again and want to replace the componentsI have complained to Fidelity about the issue and they keep saying if it isn't fixed on the next visit they will get a different company, and yet again the same company came and want to return again to replace componentsI was suppose to get a call from another supervisor at Fidelity today, but again, I never received that callAnd during the last visit they said the only last attempt to fix it would be me to defrost the unit, which I did and it still didn't work
I closed on my home September and a home warranty in the amount of $*** was funded at closingOn 9/we had to call the warranty company due to AC problems at the houseThe warranty company sent a AC contractor to repair itI paid the $** fee and he "repaired" the unitTwo and a half to three weeks later the AC was not working properly again, we could not get it to turn off to utilize the heatI called back and they wanted to charge me $** again for the sane company to come back and look at it againI had to escalate to a supervisor to dispute that feeThe supervisor then advised I should not hAve to pay $** again because it was less than daysHe arranged to have the contractor come backThe contractor text me the next morning and asked if he could come mid dayI told him no, I would be home at He said it had to be before that daySo I then asked what was his next available he told me anytime the remainder of the weekI offered two different days both at
years with themReferred several friends and familyNever experienced anything like what I have read in negative reviewsOn a few occasions I had to deal with supervisors on issues, but they were quickly resolved I do not buy into those complaints I made the mistake of getting Choice Home Warranty on one of my homesThat company I will never use again
I have contacted Fidelity Home Warranty multiple times over the last year for repairs at our homeI am not sure if its due to company policy or because of fraudulent contractors but the service people show up at my door without tools, look at the issue and then tell me its not coveredOne plumber didn't even bother calling in the item that needed to be repaired(Our earthquake valve was shutting off the gas to our house every minutes, he then told me it was $*** for him to fix it, my plumber fixed it for $***) I was then quoted prices from the people that showed up that were 4-5x what my plumber and electrician charged me when I paid for the repair myselfIn the last repair call I placed, I was told by the plumber that he could not complete the repair if the connection between my hot water heater and hot water line was not leaking but that the work should be doneI was told by my own plumber that I should have the work done (he is the one who suggestion my home warranty shoul
I placed a service call for warranty work but advised by the repair man that it will not be covered under warranty after allStill paid service feeOn 03-31-our garage door broke and we called fidelity for warranty repairThe repair guy came out and said the issue was not covered under warrantyAlright, so we paid him fix it regardless because its brokennext We called Fidelity to get a refund for the $service fee because it wasn't a warranty item and was advised they would not refund because the repair guy made location and assessed the issue alreadyThe service rep said to refer to the warranty document (we were never given) where it "clearly" states no refunds if a repair guy makes location and assesses the issueHowever, the only document we received from fidelity was a list of covered items but nothing about "no refunds if the repair guy says its not covered under warranty"We would have made a better informed decision on the use of our warranty service had we known
We've been trying to get our refrigerator repaired since July of It is now January 11, and still nothing has been fixed Unfortunately, *** is the only one who services Whirlpool appliances in my area and they are the worst They have come out to our house times without any success They last time was in December and he just wiggled the hoses and said it was fixed....are you kidding me Now, Fidelity is telling us that their hands are tied and that we need to find a licensed contractor on our own Are your serious??? What do we pay you for This is so ridiculous!!! Nobody should have to wait this long to have an appliance repaired Extremely disappointed customer of years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To whom it may concernEVEN THOUGH AFTER READING THE FINE PRINT in this company’s contract (I have been a Fidelity National customer for years), I find it very unacceptable that because I sold my home to move closer to my daughter, any service calls I placed during the last year are not covered(!!!!), plus I am charged a $** cancellation feeThis is very unfair and misleading coverage and if there is anyone out there who can guide me as to how to get back the $*** they are refusing to reimburse for my Aug service call (beyond the $*** I already paid as owner of the property), I would deeply appreciate your helpI will never pay for their services again, and advise others not to
A few months ago I had the following problems with my clothes washer and dryerClothes Washer - Door came off from one of the hinges (hinges are rusted), during the cycle it makes a loud noise, as if an airplane is taking off and then it stopped draining the waterClothes Dryer - Did not dry properly even after multiple cyclesI opened a ticket with FNHWThey sent a technicianThe technician did not arrive at the stipulated time bracket, so they rescheduled for the next time bracketI lot an entire day of work because of this since FNHW/service shops cannot give one fixed time the technician can come and none of the technicians arrived on timeWhen the technician arrived he could not speak English so now we were conversing using google translator from Russian to EnglishAfter spending about hours he deemed that he needed to order parts to repair the machines and leftParts did not arrive for another weeks and then another week to schedule the technician to come out again
I received a home warranty with FNHW with a purchase of a house contract***On May I filed a repair request *** stating that my heating/airconditioning was not workingThey were slow to send a service company but they did arrange one of their choosingI paid the $service chargeOne June they notified me that their selected licensed A/C repair shop said the unit was rotted out and they wanted a second opinionSo they reassigned it to another company for reviewNow it is July 11, and no other company has contacted me or come to review the situationAt this point I am weeks and days after my initial service requestI think it is completely unreasonable that they would go this amount of time without approving the claim and how could any fair and reasonable company force their customers to go this length of time without A/C in the middle of summer?
I have gone back and forth regarding the toilet issue on my townhome located at *** *** *** *** *** *** **The fee was withdrawn from my account but no resolutionI have called and requested a Mgr to assist in resolving the matter; however, no resolution yet

Placed a service request for pool pump making a loud noiseAdvised rep taking call that pump still works and was only placing request due to noiseSeperate company came out, heard noise, and filed report with FNHW without taking any further actionFNHW called back and advised notihing would be done if only problem is noise from pumpWhen calling back for a refund, customer service stated that notes state there is a pump failure some of the time which is not what I originally stated (statements placed in notes)FNHW refused refund even though they should have originally advised that my complaint would not be covered under home warrantyFNHW accepted payment for something they already knew would not be covered under their contract and refused to refund
We had a clogged kitchen drainFidelity had a contractor snake the drain and a bunch of dirt came upTheir contractor concluded the drain had collapsed under the foundationFidelity wanted to use a camera to determine if a root had caused the collapseBoth their contractor and one that we hired concluded a camera would not work for this purpose because there was too much corrosion in the drainNot being able to determine the cause, Fidelity refused to repair the claim and also refused to authorize a reimbursement for our independent plumber to do the workThe independent plumber said that it was a very remote possibility that a root had caused the breakWe think this is an unfair resolution and an attempt to dodge their responsibilities to repair our drainWe have to repair the drain out of pocket ($2400)
I am a service member and my family has been with Fidelity for 8+ years My parents are elderly and are also veteransSo integrity is extremely important for our family Their refrigerator went out different times in the past months Thats their medicine and food going bad each time the fridge goes out On the 5th time when the refrigerator went out, it was determined that the fridge was unrepairable....and now begins the ridiculous business practice of this company
After calling Fidelity everyday for weeks straight trying to get a replacement refrigerator, I've have lost all respect and trust with this company YOU DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS
Fidelity has no integrity and truly does not care about its customers especially the elderly veterans
