I wish there were a way to give zero starsI am the landlord of a condo and have had Fidelity for about yearsOver the years they have been fantastic if you consider putting bandaids on equipment good serviceMy most recent experience however borders on callous, hearltless and pure crookeryWe have had them out multiple times for an a/c unit freezing up due to lack of FreonEach time they will only authorize a Freon fill (which clearly is over the limit of the amount of Freon allowed to be used on one unit prescribed by the EPA)Each time they have sent somebody out I have been told that the unit needs to be replaced as there are multiple leaks and the coil is rusted and brittleYesterday had the same story from a tech but Fidelity refused to allow him to do more than fill it with FreonBig joke!!!! The tech actually told me that this happens all the time with them until they wear the policy holder down to put in a new unit at their own expenseSo I pay $per year for bandaidsCVS could sell me a lot for that
The story unfortunately gets worseWe are in Arizona with temperatures of at the momentA tech arrived two days after the first call with a foot ladder to fix a unit on the second floor roof (feet) - how many times have you been here? This was Thursday before the long weekend and we were told a tech would come on TuesdayMy tenants are a couple in the 80s and the lady was just released from hospital and is completely non ambulatory so moving her to a hotel was not an optioncalls over the weekend to Fidelity only to be told that I was welcome to call my own provider and have a new unit installed but they refused to tell me how much they would reimburseI bought several portable units and made the condo somewhat comfortable and on Tuesday the call comes in that they will have to postpone to the following MondayAfter much haggling and fighting on the phone I managed to have them send somebody on Thursday, this being the guy who told me the unit was not repairable (and I believe him after seeing it myself) but as instructed by Fidelity he filled it with FreonNeedless to say I called them today to cancel my policy and was not even asked whyWhen I asked if they would like to know I was told that it was not necessary
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save your money and don't give it to these crooks
I am now in the process of replacing the unit at a cost of $- ironically the same I have spent on premiums to these criminals over the years

On August 31, Fidelity National Home Warranty notified me that they were sending to my home *** *** *** regarding the issue of water leaking in my wallsThis was the second time this plumbing company had come to my home about this issueI moved in to my home in January and immediately called them when I noticed the issue*** *** *** came out and "fixed" the problem by tightening the hoses, etcWhen they came out again, I reminded them that the last time they were at my house they would have to look inside the wall to find the issue if their last visit did not fix the problemThis time they said it was my washerI called Fidelity National back again when the problem was still happening and requested a different plumber to find the issue*** *** *** came out on 9/6/and they found that my washer was draining into the wall and the pipe was not sufficient to handle the waterHe admitted he did not know how to fix it and said he would get a rep

Has been a customer of FNHW for couple of years, after I renewed a policy that came with the purchase of the houseContacted them in July for an air conditioning failureThe thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) failed on a year old unitThe cost of replacing this part (as determined by my independent *** ***) would have been $2-$3KFidelity refused to do any repairs/replacement of the failed partThe reasons for a denied claim, was based on the technician's determination that our A/C unit was mismatched in capacity between the main system and the evaporation coil, completely ignoring the fact that TXV valve did not work, compressor did not start and the unit was producing zero airThis erroneous claim on their part was quickly debunked by me having original installer and *** dealer independently inspect the unit on my own dollar and conclude with documented factory paperwork that the unit was not mismatchedThis paperwork was quickly provided to FidelityMy b

I have been trying to get a new microwave for a monthTheir lack of responsiveness is ridiculousToday I finally got a hold of somebody and they will replace it BUT with a much cheaper brand than what I haveThey will not match the color to the other appliances and will not cover the trim that is required to install the replacement microwaveI have already paid $dollars for a guy to come out and literally take minutes to say "yea you need a new microwave"So, $plus $for trim, and the $600/year I pay for coverage and they will only cover $of my $microwave? What are they going to do if my AC goes out? Replace it with a fan? This is a waste of money and time

On 11/1/17, I filed a claim via Fidelity Natl Home Warnty re breakdown of my refrigerator, and asked that it be considered urgentThey sent a technician from Advantage Appliance Services who appeared that day, did some screw tightening, received my $cheque (no fix achieved), called yesterday (out of the blue) wanting to come out when I was at work and won't come today, because it is a weekendMy food refrigerator is not fixed until nowObviously, company does not have any idea about the impact of a functioning refrigerator is on people's health and livesI am hoping to have all my payments to Fidelity reimbursed and cancel the contract with themCan any other reader give me further advise? With my experience with Fidelity I am beginning to think that it may not be worth paying for home warranty

I bought a new home in January A home warranty was purchased through FidelityI had a problem with my garage door systemI would push the button to close the doorThe door would close and immediately openI contacted the warrantyI paid $**They sent out a technician and it was fixedThe problem happened againI called Fidelity againBecause it was within the warranty time frame, they sent out the same technicianThe technician fixed it for the moment but said he didn't work on *** garage systems, so they sent out another technicianHe clicked on the remote control times and said it was workingAgain, it worked in the short termThe problem occurred againThey sent another technicianAt this time, my garage was working, but I didn't cancel because it is an ongoing problemI will close the door and then it opensThen it works againI was hoping the technician would find the source of the problemThe technician came out and said there was no problem, becaus

I purchased my home on June 29th of this yearAlong with the home we purchased a home warranty for the ac heating and cooling unitWe completed inspection on the ac with a licensed contractor on 06/13/17, he stated everything was in good working orderOn July 10th or ac unit stopped working properly and called it in to fidelityThey sent out a contractor and said something was unplugged, plugged it in, went on his wayCalled them back a few days later due to the same issues as before and this time he said it had to be replaced due to the age of the acSend it back to fidelity for approvalToday is 08/28/17, I have been getting the run around ever sinceThey cannot give me a straight answer anytime I callOne person tells me he's working on thework order, call back a few days later and they tell me it's been deniedCall back a few days later they tell me it's pendingI'm in Bakersfield, caOur temp are reaching degreesI just want my ac fixedPlease

This was hands down the worst business service I have ever experiencedCustomer service was atrociously frustrating, their technicians were incompetent, the repairs preformed were sub-standard (and downright dangerous!) and their overall business practices were nothing short of deceptiveWe had three basic issues with my home that were covered under our warranty with Fidelity - a main service shut off valve that needed to be replaced, a leak in the basement ceiling, and not enough hot water for two people to shower at the same timeWe called and our first encounter with them was greatThey were responsive and said they would send a tech out the next day to assess the situation and see what would be needed to make the repairsIt was downhill from thereThe tech they sent advised us that we needed a new water heater, but couldn't determine the source of the other leakHe also said that they could replace the main service valve if water service was shut off to the property, and then tried to upsell me to install a PRV (an $part that he quoted me $to install.) When I asked him what he thought the leak in the basement ceiling could be, he advised me to cut the section of pipe out that appeared to be leaking because "you probably don't need it." The pipe in question was the fresh water supply line to my master bath toiletI was not impressedRight about then is where I should have told them to get out of my house, but figured we’d ultimately save money having them replace the water heater and main service valve (since I could then work on the plumbing myself once it was replaced.)
After informing him that we’d only like them to address the water heater and main shutoff valve replacement, the tech said he'd have to get a master plumber out to do the actual repairs and guaranteed us $out of pocket costs to do bothWe agreed and he left after saying that "he'll call [Fidelity] and get them to schedule a tech to do the workAlmost a week passed with no word from the companyI called to follow up and the rep on the line said they "had no record of speaking with us before." I ended up having to call the tech's personal cell phone (which he had given to me in case of emergency because of the leak) to get him to fill the customer service rep in and confirm the price we agreed uponAll this while trying to hold down my to So, after another day of back and forth on the phone, I confirmed the price guarantee with customer service and scheduled an appointment for the master plumber to come out and make the repairsThe master plumber arrived on time the morning of the scheduled repair and proceeded to tear the old water heater outOnly AFTER the old water heater was removed did he inform me that it would cost $to make the repairsI explained to him that they had already sent a tech out to quote us a price and we had agreed to $His response was to “call the company.”
So here we are, without running water, and now the company decides to tell us that costs have increased beyond the agreed upon priceI felt like nothing short of extortionI spent over two hours on the phone with several customer service reps, getting bounced around and put on hold for extended periods of time (over min at one point) only to be told that our only options were to pay the $or have the tech put the old water heater back in I refused saying that the agreed upon price was all that I'd payThey would not budgeIt wasn’t until after I told them that I would be filing a formal complaint with the Revdex.com and refused payment (which I will definitely be doing) that they decided that they might be able to come down on the price to $or give us a $check to have the repairs performed by another plumberThis was absolutely ridiculous, as this would leave us with no running water and hundreds of dollars out of pocketAt this point I just wanted them out of my house and needed running waterI told them to just do the repair and get outThe plumber proceeded to install the hot water heater and main shutoff valve but couldn't finish the job before having to leave to go to a “higher priority appointment” per his dispatcherTheir advice was to turn the water on to the property and check for leaks and call them if there were any that we noticedSo now we are $over agreed upon price, with no working hot water and the plumber simply leavesI turned on the main so we could have running water for the night and every single one of the connections he made was leaking steadily - all of the connections were only hand tight! Upon closer inspection, I noticed he left the gas valve COMPLETELY OPEN (with no pilot light on) right next to our furnaceHad I not checked and the furnace turned on over night, he could have killed my entire familyI ended up stopping the leaks myselfI called the company again that night to tell them that I would not be paying for the service and their response was that “legally I am liable to pay.” After all that, they had the sand to threaten legal action to collect paymentTo say that I am unsatisfied is an understatementTake whatever money you are considering spending on a home warranty though this company and invest it in something useful – like a Faberge egg or North Korean currencyTo date I have received no response from the company

Was given the total run around on a claimFiled and followed all the steps required by the rep only to be told we missed a step at the beginning and the claim was deniedI fill like this company will find any way to get out of paying claims by finding loopholesThe hold time was ridiculous and along with the terrible wait music I feel this is another way to deter customers from proceedingIf I had gotten the authorization code that I thought we did have due to the fact of the rep telling us to proceed and send in a paid invoice and check which we didI feel like we deserve to get paid for this claim especially since it seems the fault is on the rep sideHere is the timelineDate Comment 6/4/Called and submitted Warranty request for Pool/spa equipment general and pool/spa filter 6/7/Was informed that they had no providers in our area for the requestWas informed that I was able to set up my own contractorI signed and submitted the form for "out of network service pro

Fidelity sent a contractor to a home we've recently purchased to assess three appliances that aren't workingThe contractor sent a report back to Fidelity stating that all of the appliances are working properly when they clearly are notWhen my wife called the contractor to object, the Owner told her, "Oh, you're one of thoseThat's all right, we know where you live." When she asked if he was threatening us, he said, "Not me personally, but I know people." He also told her that the technician had recorded our conversations in our homeSo, Fidelity sends contractors to peoples' homes who 1) record their conversations and 2) threaten their families if they don't like the service*** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** ** ** ***

This is a typical insurance company They want your money and take their time paying for anything if at all
Watch your contract closely as they use it regularly to get out of payments
Each service call will cost you $
Moved into our house in June, had a home inspection done prior to buying the house In August the AC gave out It took two months to finally get the AC replaced and that was after they challenged my home inspection and gave the contractor so much grief for not fixing the issue the way THEY thought it should be repaired
You have to call or go online to ask for service It can take them up to two days to even contact a contractor and probably another two days to get service
My well pump quit and so I called a contractor myself and he was able to come out the next morning and replaced the pump Fidelity would not pay for the service or the new pump even though it was covered just because I didn't contact them first
This company is a money grabbing sham I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!

I had filed a complaint *** with Revdex.com but the response received from the business was not satisfactoryI had to be out of town unfortunately and could not respond back to Revdex.com complaint within the time period due to which the complaint was closed
The response received states that the service fee applies even if the warranty does not cover the repairOur contract did not have coverage for solar panelsWe however confirmed with the service rep regarding the repair and that it only involved fixing a pipe and was not on the solar or in the roofAfter initial assessment and discussions, the service was requestedWe do feel that the contract terms was misused and exploited by requesting a service for an ambiguous repair issue

We bought our home 12/18/and took out an insurance policy with Fidelity National Home WarrantyWe pay $*** a year to them so that if we have any problems with our appliances, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, etc, all we have to do is call Fidelity National Home Warranty, tell them of our problem and they get whomever is needed out to take care of the issueOn 1/30/18, we found that there was a leak under our kitchen sinkWe are not plumbers, nor do we know anyWe called Fidelity National Home Warranty, advised them of the issueThey took payment of $*** from my credit card and assumed me someone would be out the same day to fix the problemAbout an hour later, Fidelity National Home Warranty called me back saying they couldn't get anyone out for days! I told them that is not satisfactory, I have water leaking and no way to fix itThey advised me to contact a plumber, get it fixed and send them the bill for reimbursementI wasn't happy at this point that I had to d

On 6/10/I contacted Fidelity National Home Warranty to service my washing machine which had/has mold and other residue in the tub during and after washThey since sent out three companies to diagnose/repair (one two times)The first company said the washer needs to be taken apart to see what the problem is, but it likely needed to be replaced as it's a design flawThey said to get a washer cleaner (we got ***) and the problem should go away, but it didn'tThe second repairman took the bottom agitator plate off and cleaned what appeared to be mold, sm, etcand said it should be fine and to run more tub clean cycles, but it wasn'tThe third also concurred it's a design flaw and even if he replaced the tub we would be in the same situation a year from now and told me it should be replacedFidelity told me the washer is too new to replace (years old) and said to contact a repairman outside of the warranty to get a diagnosisI didThe repairman said it needs to be repl

Fidelity National Home Warranty has the worst customer service I am currently on the phone waiting an answer and it has been over an hour They have not problem taking your service charge but not responding if the issue is not fixed I have been with this company for years and the customer service has declined every year and is currently at an all time low I have called in times the last week and minimum hold time was minutes

Bought a built home on 3/that was pretty much vacant for a few yearsHad the inspection 2/26/in the spring when we had a few hot day turned on the A/C and it was just blowing cold ambient air and not coolingPer their contract #Covered systems and appliances must be in good, safe working order at the start of contract coverageUnknown pre-existing conditions will be covered if, at the time coverage began, the defect or malfunction would not have been known to the buyer, seller, agent, or home inspector by a visual inspection and by operating the system or applianceA visual inspection of the covered item verifies that it appears structurally intact and without damage or missing parts that would indicate inoperabilityOperating the covered item is defined as turning the item on and off to ensure that it is operationalWhile turned on, the item operates without causing damage, irregular sounds, smoke or other aboutcomes#FNHW will repair or replace covered systems and appliances which mechanically malfunction due to insufficient maintenance, rust, corrosion or sediment, unless otherwise noted in this contractTheir testing shows that it's out of freonThey declined the claim stating pre-existing condition Granted the inspection states visually in good working order but unable to test function due to weather (it was and thermostat doesn't go below 55) They somewhat acknowledge that they didn't know how one would go about to operate it in that whether but nevertheless the claim will be denied because it wasn't doneHow are they still in business??

Fidelity sent a tech to repair the A/C unitTech pulled a electrica lcontact out of the compressor and said the unit failed because of excessive wearWhen Fidelity was NOT covering the unit, it was serviced by another company & worked great for yearsFidelity started covering the unit in March of 2016, months before the problemI had to have another company fix the unit because of a bad compressor at a cost of $When I purchased the policy, the Fidelity Repstated that prior service wouldn't be a problem, because it wasn't their coverage

I previously filed a complaint with Revdex.com against Fidelity National Home Warranty and Revdex.com closed the complaint stating they believe Fidelity's answer to me was satisfactoryFidelity just simply referred me back to the contract which I did not have a problem withI feel, as a consumer, I was not given satisfactory customer service from FidelityI never received a phone call (as I was told I would) from any representative during the two months this issue was going onI received four letters referring me back to my contract and one letter stating they were not able to complete my request (which they did and I am not sure why I received that specific letter)My problem that has not been resolved (which could have if I would have received one phone call from Fidelity) is for my garbage disposal to be repairedThe plumbing company supposedly made a claim (June 2018), but I have yet to have this repair completedI made several attempts to check the status of this request and on two occas

I started with this company about two years ago and it was going well until I had to use the company for warranty request
I have had several issues starting from last year when the furnace was acting upIt ended up needing replacementThe company ordered wrong part, then wanted to charge $and change extra to "create space" for the ordered furnaceAfter several months of going back and forth about the extra charges they are trying to collect from me, I was giving up and wanted to just get the cash out option of very low price that they are offeringin the process the AC unit starts acting up and called for service request, then follow ups and every time I talk to a customer service repthey have different "notes" that they haveNow they want me to spend another $for the service request that was not resolved and I have to call several times to reach someoneI am working and I cannot keep taking time out of the schedule and keep calling them to be bounced around for answe

This company is the absolute worst one to work withI called the beginning of January to schedule a service on my range, and an appointment was scheduled for January 16th, That one then got cancelled because of snow, and rescheduled for January 31stThe technician came out and ordered partsI was told he was going to come back out and fix it on February 8thNobody came out and no call to meI then called them and they said they were still waiting on parts, and would call when they arrivedNo call, so I called them on February 16th, and was told it would either be fixed by March 10th, or replacedIt never got fixed so I called them on March 12th, I spoke with a customer service rep, and was told that they didn't have the report to issue a replacement, and couldn't get it, and they would send somebody new out tomorrow to check with a different vendorI said this was not acceptable because it's not my fault they don't have the report, and that a replacement needs to be issued since this is going on months nowI asked him who his supervisor was and he gave me a nameI asked to be transferred to him, and was then put on holdI then was speaking with a woman who said she was the Customer Service Rep SupervisorI asked her if she knew anybody by the name that was given to me, and she didn't know who I was talking aboutThe first rep gave a name of his supervisorThey ended the call with saying that they will call me by the end of the day with an update, but that now they can't promise a replacementI hate that I have to even give them one star, when they don't even deserve that, after lying, putting the service off, and not keeping up with what they saidThey've never returned a single call so we'll see if they call by the end of the day
