Sharp offered to cover repair as a courtesy. The unit is not repairable. The customer was offered a prorated exchange due to the unit being out of warranty. Customer advised Sharp that they would speak with his manager and contact us back. Sharp has not heard back from the customer.

Never received the check from Sharp. I did everything they asked, they took my tv and I signed and confirmed they received my release

Customer was approved for a refund of the purchase price. We are currently working with the customer.

Customer had purchased his original unit on 2/19/2013. The television was deemed non repairable and exchanged with a NEW [redacted] on 5/20/13. The manufacture warranty ended on 2/19/2014. The customer purchased a 1 year extended warranty. The customer called in 8/17/15 to report panel issues. The customer was offered a prorated exchange due to being out of warranty. The customer is also out of the extended warranty that he purchased. The original prorate was $550.00. Sharp lowered the prorate to $400.00 and the customer still declined the offer.

Sharp has approved the customer for a reimbursement. Customer will be contacted to proceed.

Sharp Electronics has sent an exchange to the customer. The customer was advised to recycle the original television.

Sharp stopped manufacturing televisions in 2016. There are no new televisions to offer. Due to the television is out of warranty this the offer on file.

I have accepted that the repair was made , but I am dissatisfied that a company will replace a newly purchased television with a refurbished television. When the service person came a replaced a power circut board the television opereeated for a total of 10 minutes. I had to run out to his car and call him back.  He placed another circut board and the television has been operating.  I will inform everyone I know and many on social media not to purchase ANY Sharp products. They replace new products with used products. To me that is a "shoddy" way to operate a business.  No integrity with this company.

I am rejecting this response because:  Hi again, and in truth I am not rejecting...

the resolution offered by Sharp Electronics in regards to my case.  I imagine "after you contacted them" they found a TV set that was of equivalence with mine and decided to fiiiinally accept a correct replacement for me, which make me LOL... I am just having an unexpected and unfortunate further issue with the company.  After they originally trouble shoot my set and specified that returning it to them to get it repaired "was not an option because it was irreparable", they decided to just send me another one altogether.  So I took down the set from the wall mount and put the spare TV from the guest room and disposed of the broken TV with the premise that it was irreparable garbage based on what they told me.  Now unfortunately they're refusing to hand me over the other replacement TV because "the shipping company is expecting to put the old broken TV back in the box to send back that its the shipping companies' policy"... You just can't have justice sometimes LOLOL...Any suggestions???
                PS:  I lost faith in the company from the get go so I tape recorded EVERY CONVERSATION we have had from the start, let me know if this is of use to you and I'll gladly send them to you.

Without a receipt to verify warranty, repair would be responsibility of the customer. Model [redacted] comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Warranty will have to be verified for covered service call.

Sharp cannot locate a casefile for the customer. Sharp Televisions come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Customer will have to contact Sharp to create a casefile to see what assistance can be offered.

We cannot honor a refund. Our policy stated clear that within 30 days DOA we sent a brand new for replacement. If it is outside of 30 days DOA, we send a recertified replacement. Most of our recertified products look like new. Customer purchased the unit since Sept/2015, so her warranty will be...

expired in Sept. However, if she accepts a recertified replacement in August, she will get extended warranty until Nov because we warranty 90 days for exchange and repair.

As a courtesy a replacement tray has been ordered for the customer. They should receive it in 3-5 business days via FEDEX.

I am rejecting this response...

because: Although Sharp no longer owns this company I am sure this product was distributed under the Sharp name and ownership. Furthermore Sharp brand is still being used under [redacted] of course so during an intermittent time I believe situations such as these should be directly forwarded from the Sharp headquarters to [redacted]. I have called Sharp customer service who have forwarded my calls to [redacted] representatives before.

Sharp warranty listed in the owners manual states that Sharp has the option to repair or replace with a refurbished replacement. Customer was offer a refurbished replacement with a 6 month warranty. Customer stated that he will contact Sharp back. To this day we are waiting on the customer to...

Sharp processed an exchange for the customer to an upgraded model. The exchange delivered on 1/2/16.

If the proof of purchase can be located and submitted Sharp will cover the repair if under warranty. If purchased at [redacted], they can usually print a copy of the purchase receipt. Sharp requires a proof of purchase for all warranty support.

Customer model [redacted] comes with a one year parts and labor warranty. Due to the customer being out of warranty, they were referred to a servicer for repairs.

An exchange was processed for the customer on 4/28/16.
