pictures that were taken of TV this device has a chip that is too big for component and a chip is cracked in two places. This is not a warranty issue but a recall there is no way a new TV should have this type of component installed in it.

I find it hard to believe...

that a electronics company in the year 2017 requires customers to hold onto paper receipts for up to a year. That is just ridiculous. I bought an HP printer from Staples a while back and something went wrong with it. I did not keep my receipt but they were able to verify on their end if the item was within warranty or not. I'm shocked and disappointed that Sharp cannot do the same. They expect customers to hang on to a piece of paper for a year to prove that their item is in warranty. Unbelievable.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have done a factory reset on my unit and once you hold down the input and volume down button it turns the tv on, you then press the volume down and channel down at the same time and it shows all your tv info, the date specified by the manufacturer is incorrect by more then a year. And I know a tv built in "2012" like sharp is stating would not have new software in it. Or a newer dom. I am still in the process of trying to locate proof of purchase I have [redacted] working with me, it is a shame to know sharp will not step up and fix a mistake knowing it's an ongoing problem with this specific model tv. Thank you!

want the world to know not to buy Sharp television that break down faster than used cars at an auction.  Business never contacted the customer and obviously could care less about their customers after getting a Revdex.com complaint and responding with 2 sentences.  This says to me that they know their product will not last long and that that don't care as long as they get your money.

Sharp tried to contact the customer on 8/18, 8/20, 8/21, and 8/25. Sharp also mailed the customer a call back letter. Sharp will cover the repair of the television when the customer returns our calls.

It is not right that a $4000 T.V. Died just outside of the warranty date.  The reason so much was spent on a t.v. Was so that something like this would not happen. There is no reason why I should receive a refurbished t.v. For $600. That is unreasonable when that t.v could fail as well. I am willing to pay $600 for a new t.v.If you could please assist me with this issue I would be in your debt. We have no t.v. Right now because we had invested all of our resources into that t.v. To pay $600 for refurbished one is throwing money down the drain once again and we are retired so we are on a limited income.Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Customer was offered a NEW LC70UE30U due to failed exchanges. Customer accepted and the exchange was processed.

Customer was offered a full refund of the purchase price.

The unit was in for repair and the issue could not be duplicated. The unit was working as designed. The unit was shipped back to the customer.

Customer purchased her TV on 7/1/2012, the TV comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Customer called in to Sharp on 2/20/15 to report that the TV has lines in the screen. At this time the customer was out of warranty for over a year. If customer can provide the requested proof of purchase and...

the TV was under warranty Sharp will assist.
