I am rejecting this response because: The TV was a refurbished unit that lasted for 4 days. I have now been waiting a week for a response for Sharp's next attempt at correcting their...
continued problem. Giving me a refurbished unit that has a warranty of less time than it took the new TV to fail shows the complete lack of faith that Sharp has in its own refurbished product.
Customer was left messages in December of 2016 about exchange offer. Customer did not return call until June of 2017. The television is currently out of warranty. Sharp will contact customer to go over options.
Sharp Electronics does not cover installation on a trim kit. The trim kits are sold separately as an optional accessory. The unit is sold a counter top model. Sharp cannot reimburse for optional installation.

Customer TV was exchanged on 2/17/16. Delivered on 2/26/16.
I am rejecting this response because:
we did have the servicer check the television. As I stated in my original complaint the issue is that the company ceased the production of the part required to fix the tv forcing customers to have to buy a new television. This is unethical.
Sharp does have the part in stock for repair. The evaluation sent in to Sharp stated that the customer only brought in the part not the whole TV to them. Sharp does not recommend non certified technicians to repair the televisions. An authorized servicer can complete the repair at the customers...
expense.
Customer could not provide a proof of purchase. When a proof of purchase is not available the date of manufacture is used. The date of manufacture is April 2012. This model comes with a 1year parts and labor warranty. Sharp cannot assist as the unit is too far out of warranty per the date of...
manufacture. If the customer can provide a proof of purchase the case will be reviewed for assistance.
