I wanted to let you know that as far as I am concerned, I have resolved my complaint with Select Home Warranty. I have cancelled my policy with them and they are sending me a prorated refund. At this point I just want my relationship with this company to be over. My main goal was
to have this documented to prevent others from falling for this scam. This company told me that they were not covering the entire cost of the repair due to lack of maintenance and maintenance records. Essentially calling me stupid for not asking for these records on the furnace when I purchased the house. The problem with the furnace is a control board that needs to be replaced. No level of maintenance would prevent this from failing. Its just something that happens. They make the process of submitting a claim so difficult and and time consuming in order to prevent paying out what they promise to pay. I have opted to pay for the repairs myself and get a refund from Select. I have already purchased a new home warranty with a company that I know is trustworthy thank you for your time
Select Home Warranty will issue a refund to the customer per the Terms of Agreement

I am rejecting this response because: they accept to have the thermostat replaced and give me the ok to have the contractor proforme the job, why they did not say that it won't cover any AC work related? Plus I did call more than once to asked if the policy will cover the replace and they say YES not fair they come back after months saying that won't covered

Select Home Warranty has been in touch with the customer in regards to the invoice that was submitted We have offered to cover the door boot seal(part only), as the part is outside of the scope of what is normally cover we will reimburse the customer for the part int he amount of 64.25.In this case Select Home Warranty would only offer a courtesy, as we would be more than happy to work with the customer, however, we are unable to cover labor costs only the part. The customer is in contact with Select Home Warranty and we have sent a reimbursement agreement, we are waiting for the signed agreement and will expedite the check
Per the diagnosis of the technician the control board shorted outThe customer disputed our technicians diagnosis was requested a second opinionThe customer is more than happy to hire their own technician to obtain a second opinion and submit invoicing with the diagnosis for reviewThe customer is refusing to do soTherefore the maximum allowance on this claim as previously approved will remain at $
There was a day grace period to review the policy for a full refundThere is nothing more we can do at this point
The customer has been informed that their claim has been denied as freon leaks and damage caused by freon leaks is not covered under their contract
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** although the resolution is not optimal, I want to put all this behind me and move on. This business conducts their business in an unethical manner and I hope that this is evident on your website through my complaint
Complaint:***
I am rejecting this response because:Their claim that this was a manufacturers defect or "leak" is incorrect, which I told them. A part failed in the refrigerator It was not a seal or connection "leak".As for the dishwasher repair, I did not argue about the $maximum which they paid I was arguing about them initially rejecting the repair (without notifying me), then telling me to pay for the repair and submitting the receipt for possible reimbursement - which is exactly the same thing they told me to do about the refrigerator.
