I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is unsatisfactory! Their checks always seem to be getting lost in the mail and they FEE you till nothing is left!Terrible customer service!!

Select Home Warranty advised the cusotmer that the Terms of Agreement states that leaks from water heaters are not a covered repair, the cusotmer stated they wanted to think about cancelling the policy and stated they would be in contact with us, that was on 01/28/2016.See...

Below: 6.2.7. Water Heater. This Agreement covers all modules, components and parts of the water heater necessary to the functionality of the water heater.This Agreement does NOT cover solar or tankless water heating systems or the components thereof. This Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules, components and parts relating to the water heating system:(i) flues; (ii) drain piping; (iii) pressure reducing valve; (iv) leaks(v)pumps

I am rejecting this response because:
I have made several calls to give them a chance to fix this. They refused to do anything about it. I called them again after filing the complaint and they finally decided to waive at least the fee.This is in no way agreeing with the total refund amount.What I'm disputing still stands. They can't apply their cancelation policy on the cancelation made by them. It's a bait and switch.All I'm asking is to return half of the money as the policy only used up half.

We did speak with the customer and the tech and are assisting with the dispatch.

Select Home Warranty has issued a pro-rated refund as per the Terms & conditions the customer has reviewed and signed. The refund will be returned within the next 2 -5 business days, the customer is more than welcomed to call us directly with any additional questions or concerns.

I am rejecting this response Full refund of 450 should have been issued because the policy was never utilized and had 3 months free, I didn’t even make it though the free pierod so my refund should have been less 150.00 dollars! In addition to they didn’t pay the 150.00 that wasn’t even a quarter of the repair they @said they would! And I still haven’t seen the refund they say they sent yet ! I received a 45.00 refund for the service call and that’s it then they canceled the worthless policy with out been notified to in advance! This company is a disaster and a rip off and intend make that known.

The customer has already been informed on numerous occasions that their pool claim was denied per section 10.1 (see below). Customer filed a claim during the first 30 days at which time this claim would not be covered. 10.1 Select will not be responsible for matching a system or appliances color, brand, or dimensions and only is responsible for repairing and/or replacing systems or appliances of similar capacity and efficiency. The following guidelines will be implemented to provide a repair/replacement allowance. For heating or cooling equipment (hvac), in the first three months of coverage a $500 repair/replacement allowance will be paid to the customer. This repair/replacement allowance will increase to $2000 after the first three months of coverage. For appliances, plumbing and electrical(non-heating or cooling) in the first three months a $150 repair/replacement allowance will be paid to the customer. This repair/replacement allowance will increase to $500 after the first three months of coverage. For additional coverage options in the first three months a $150 repair/replacement allowance will be paid to the customer. This repair/replacement allowance will increase to $400 after the first three months of coverage. In the event a part is not available, Select's responsibility is to reimburse for the value of the part up to the policy limits. If Freon coverage is selected as an option the limit is $150 for the first 3 months of coverage and $250 for the remainder of the contract.Furthermore you agree that during the first 30 days of coverage, no coverage will be provided for replacement of entire systems or appliances of Evaporator Coils, condenser coils. Compressors, control boards, motors of any kind No additional funds are due at this time.

I am rejecting this response because: the information is inaccurate. The company cashed the check but never verified all information that they required was in the file. It is not my responsibility to make sure they have what they need. I had an email with my policy number and their contact info. It wasn't until I tried to file a claim that they decided they were missing information and could not help me.

Select Home Warranty would be more than happy to process the refund , it will be per the Terms & Conditions at the pro-rated amount and a cancellation fee will be charged.
The cancellation department will be in touch with the customer to further discuss the refund amount.

The customer placed a claim for a 14 year old stove. After getting the diagnosis the stove is not worth repairing. As part of the policy we will approve cash reimbursement for the depreciated value of the appliance. please see section 8 of the policy."(iii) In lieu of replacing a system or appliance...

that is deemed irreparable or it is not cost effective to repair, said determination being made by Select, Select may choose to pay a cash settlement for the irreparable component of the system or appliance. Select is not responsible for installation. The cash settlement shall be in an amount not to exceed the depreciated value of the component/appliance being replaced;" We approved $150 reimbursement for the 14 year old appliance. The customer elected to cancel. We have approved the reimbursement according to the policy terms. The customer s account has already been cancelled and a check will arrive in 7-10 days.

dishwasher, the customer was contacted by Select Home Warranty contacted the customer to advised him that his policy had lapsed due to non-payment. We tried to bill the customer again and the customers card came back declined again, it is the customers responsibility to update Select Home Warranty with the mostup-to-date payment information.

We did speak to the customer , She was approved the policy max of $150 towards her claim.

We did speak with the customer and helped with a reimbursement.

purchased the coverage on July 28 2014as per their advertisement they offered 1 year + 2 month free, so my coverage still valid up tosept 28 2015, I submitted the claim on august 24 2015 and they didn't even send a technician to fix water heator. As per the contract shw they still honour the claim up to sept 28 2015.so I would like to get $399 which I paid to purchase their home warranty

Mr [redacted] spoke with the customer and the customer is going to be reimbursed for the claim. Once we receive the signed reimbursement form from the customer a check will be mailed out.

I am rejecting this response because: they were Suppose to send this out and of yet have not received it.  Will accept the payment that they agreed on when talking to the head man if and when I have the check n my hand.  I am waiting for the paper by mail as seems they cannot email to my address.  As soon as I receive the paper will send it right back and when I receive the check of $200.00 will settle this matter
