The customer has already requested to canceled the policy , we have already processed a refund. The customer should be getting a check in 7-10 days.

Just look at the pictures I have uploaded from under my sink. I have my daughter here breathing in this mold.  This has been going on...

for months.  I also had to pay some money to RTP heating and cooling 180 . 00 dollars to fix my AC and the company did not pay him anything so he calls me for the balance.  We were in our home for 2 months in the summer without air conditioning.  They didn't do anything for me at all until I had to get the Revdex.com involved and still have to by my own dishwasher.  I want this moldy wood fixed and my money back.  I would not be in this situation if they did not send the company called fix and go (who went out of business due to terrible service and numerous complaints).  Fix my wood and give me my money back..This company is total rip off.  They take your money and don't fix anything...we are getting sick from this mold.  Next step will be getting a lawyer involved.

has been completed, there was no informacion about the policy won't cover the repairs, and I asked multiple times not only one, also I asked that they refund the entire amount that I paid for the two year contract not just part of the money, this company is not serious at all and the agents tell you one thing and then they come back sayng the contract says a diferent thing, I do understand that the contract won't cover AC units repairs, that is why I called and ask if they will cover the thermostat replace and they say YES twice, please help me to get the refund back I called many times and this people are very rude and dont like to loose any money, I see other cases and are very similar to mine.

My claim # was [redacted] and I accepted the in the last reply but the update is THE CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 AT9:00 AM THE TECH CALLED ME SUNDAY NIGHT "HE FORGOT HE HAD A DR'S APPOINTMENT AND COULD NOT COME" THIS WAS AFTER I SPOKE WITHHIM AND HE STATED TO ME "I DO NOT MAKE APPOINTMENTS THAT I CANNOT KEEP", now I cannot get him to reply to my messages as to when hecan come out again! this business name was [redacted]  ###-###-####. I guess they waited to after a favorable reply wassent. This matter has not been solved. Thank you very much.

The customer has been approved for a reimbursement .

A $200 credit was already put back to the customers credit card on 6/8. This can take 3-5 days to post to the account.

The customer placed the claim for the HVAC System on on 07/07/2015, they stated that the unit was not cooling and dripping water, we sent a HVAC Technician as per the customers description of the issue.We spoke to the technician on 07/23/2015 and they stated that the customer has a clogged drain...

line, they tried flushing it and it will not clear, they stated that they customer would require a plumber.The issue we were initially advised of, was a unit not cooling, not that the unit had a clogged line, we advised the customer that  logged drain lines are not covered under the warranty, and they would need maintenance to address the issues. The customer then placed two claims for their appliances, the microwave and the dryer, the customer stated that the technician did not show up after their scheduled appointment.We would like to apologize for the technicians actions and we were in the process of assigning a more reliable technician , but, the customer requested to cancel before anything could be done.The customers' request for cancellation is currently being processed.

A full refund has been put back to the customers card.

I am rejecting this response because:the freon leak was another claim that I filed last month.  My ac is not working at all now and I just filed this claim on Monday 8/15/16 and no one has come out or even scheduled an appt to look at ac.

Select Home Warranty has sent a Refund Check for 277.99 on 9/19/2014 and will be sending an additional 117.00 to satisfy the full refund amount.

To diagnose the customers claim a licensed plumber is not required. If the customer does not accept the contractors that are hired by us to diagnose their claim, the customer can secure their own technician to submit a diagnosis for review. Please advise if you would like to have your own technician...

On 04/13/2015 the customercalled into Select Home Warranty to place a claim for their Hot Water Heaterthat is leaking.  The customer wasadvised that leaks form a Hot Water Heater are not cover, we do not cover leaksof any kind. See Below:6.2.7. Water Heater. This Agreement covers...

allmodules, components and parts of the water heater necessary to thefunctionality of the water heater.This Agreement does NOT cover solar or tankless water heating systems or thecomponents thereof. This Agreement does NOT cover the following list ofmodules, components and parts relating to the water heating system:(i) flues;(ii) drain piping; (iii) pressure reducing valve; (iv) leaks(v)pumps Select Home Warranty does notcover leaks of any kind, and we did explain that to the customer, we alsoadvised that we would be more than happy to review the invoice once the customerhas the work completed to see if we can assist in any way.Select Home Warranty reachedout to the customer on 04/24/2015 to after receiving the invoice and offered tocover some of the service charge fee, the customer was not satisfied with ouroffer and requested to cancel their policy with us.The customers’ request tocancel the policy is being processed at this time.

The policy limits are clear. please see section 9.1.2 , there is a $150 for this claim without proper records.You are responsible for providing maintenance and cleaning by a licensed technician on covered items to ensure continued coverage on such items. Select reserves the right to request prior years (3) maintenance records and/or pictures, without proper maintenance records and pictures the maximum payout on any system/appliance is up to $150.00.We have already gone above the policy terms and approved $200. No more approvals are due at this time.

I am rejecting this response because:  This is not in my contract with select .  I am only going by the contract which I signed with select home warranty, not their office policy which is NOT in the contract.

Select Home Warranty has had to pay the technician for the diagnosis at the customers home, we have already refunded them for the policy, but we are unable to refund for work the technician has done.

I am rejecting this response because:To recap what Select has communicated- First rejected because they said the loss was due to electrical ground.  Their technician advise them otherwise- Next rejected due to lack of maintenance.  Provided evidence of 3 year maintenance agreement with first and last years receipts attached when work was done.  Showed proof maintenance was being performed- Next (current) they are claiming that repairs invalidate the warranty.   What was replaced on the unit were capacitors which were done so for preventative maintenance.  They had not failed but the service tech advised it would prolong the useful life of the system and avoid causing failure of other components as they tend to wear out over time.It is clear I was doing everything required to maintain the units in peak operating condition (as this is Phoenix this is essential). It is equally clear that Select is focused on fishing for reasons to deny claims.  Failing one will try another.  This does not seem like the acts of a responsible and reputable firm. I would have hoped to reach a resolution here but it does not look promising.  As warranty companies are not regulated by the insurance commission, there is ability to bring a bad faith claim; but potentially with the department of consumer affairs.

We do not have a copy of the check as it was already mailed. The original check was mailed to the title company. We have mailed this check to the property address [redacted]. If you do not receive it in 10 days you can reopen the case.

We have upheld  our end of the contract. The customer was approved for the policy limit. there are no more funds due at this time.
