We have made an attempt to contact this customer and have sent them an email requesting a call back. Please contact our office and speak with Mr. [redacted] so that we may proceed accordingly.

Customer has been reimbursed $200 directly to their original form of payment. Attached a copy of the receipt showing the reimbursement has been issued.

Select Home Warranty spoke with the customer on 01/14/2015 and discussed the coverage for the claim regarding the dishwasher, the customer requested to cancel the contract.The customers request for cancellation is being processed at this time.

The customer contacted Select Home Warranty and has worked with us to resolve the matter, we have sent a reimbursement for in the amount of 200.89, once it is returned we will expedite the payment process.

Customer has been refunded in full.

I am rejecting this response because: I still have not received my full refund and I'm being penalized for an ice maker that was damage doing my coverage with this company

paid for.  They also were unwilling to return my calls as they stated.  I would not have cancelled my policy if they were able to provide the service that was contained in the contract that I signed.  They claim I was covered for 10 months but that is only because I did not need any service.  The first attempt that I made to secure there services showed their inability to provide those services.

Select Home Warranty will be contacting the customer to clarify the mater with the fridge, we have also sent a Release Form for the 60.00 reimbursement, once the customer signs the release and returns it we will immediately send the refund.

They sited numerous clauses as to why they would only refund a portion of what we paid for example, 10.678 and 15.678, it's typical for this company that they would bury information at the back of the contract so you are unaware of the actual guidelines. At this point we have received $800 back and want to stop pursuing, the amount of time this takes is not worth the money.

Please refer to section 6.4.11 of the customers contract: 6.4.11. Refrigerator's Ice Maker. This Agreement covers all components and parts. EXCLUDED: (i)Stand alone ice maker, (ii)dispenser,(iii)valves(iv)water line. The contract clearly states that dispensers are excluded. The customer has...

already requested to cancel their contract and their request has been processed per section 13.2. As soon as their refund check is issued it will be mailed out to them.

I am totally disappointed in this Select Home Warranty company since day one of the transfer of policy from the original owner. I purchased this home feeling secure with the fact that I had coverage and it's been nothing but a nightmare with them. After the ordeal that tried to happen with my pool pump situation I decided the best course of action would be to cancel my policy. I informed them several weeks ago that I wasn't the original purchaser of this policy and wanted to know how the refund would get taken care of. They advised that a check would be sent out to the address in question. I called them this morning to find out the status if the situation to find that yet again I got screwed over by this company not twice but three times. Not only did they fail to send me the refund in the mail they also decided to inform me that there was a fee involved with the cancellation. I as a consumer feel RAPED by this company. I will never recommend this company to anyone. And if in the future I was to purchase another home and they had this company as a warranty policy I would pass on it. Knowing full well that this company is nothing but heartache.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  I do not find this response satisfactory, but do not feel that I will receive any better response should I pursue it further, so I will accept the refund.  Once it became clear to me that the warranty company would not honor their warranty and the cost of the A/C repair or replacement was going to fall to me, I called a second company of my choice for another quote.  The second company discovered that the diagnosis of the warranty companies service provider was false, and they were able to quickly repair the A/C unit. I am being refunded the $399 for the original cost of the warranty.  However, I am still out of pocket $260 for the warranty companies service provider to give me a false diagnosis, plust the $350 for the second company to actually fix the unit.  And I want to ensure that other consumers are alerted to the fact that Select Home Warranty is marketing their warranty to NEW homebuyers, who will not have 3 years of service data for their appliances, and then they have no intention of fulfilling their warranty.  I do not know how this is not fraudulent activity and would request that the Revdex.com look into this further on behalf of other consumers.

The customers claims were handled according t the policy terms. The customer requested to cancel.The customer is not eligible for a full refund. The customers refund amount according to the policy terms would have been $31.02.We have gone above the policy terms and did not deduct any claims paid out...

in the pro rated refund.We have given them a refund of $190. We have gone above the policy terms for the customer.

The pictures were clear and the motor was rusted out. The customer is not eligible for the amount he is asking for. He has already been approved for the maximum available for this kind of issue.

The customers refund check has been mailed out to their property address check #[redacted]. They should be receiving this check within the next few days. No additional funds due at this time.

Select Home Warranty offered the customer cash in lieu for the dishwasher repair.  We offered the amount of 100.00 as the repairs were not cost effective,...

the actual repairs were more than the actual unit is worth.Please review the follow from the Terms of Agreement:(iii) In lieu of replacing a system or appliance that is deemed irreparable or it is not cost effective to repair, said determination being made by Select, Select may choose to pay a cash settlement for the irreparable component of the system or appliance. Select is not responsible for installation. The cash settlement shall be in an amount not to exceed the depreciated value of the component/appliance being replaced;(iv) Select the manufacturer, make and model of any replacement parts used in the repair of the defective system or appliance; and(v) Obtain a second opinion with regard to the cost of replacement without any additional cost to You.We are more than willing to work out any concerns on the pricing and provide clarification on the cash in lieu procedures and determination.
