I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is unsatisfactory but I accept and acknowledge that nothing further will be done as it is written in the fine print.  However, I find this company to be manipulative and not providing a full disclosure of details in order to ensure that appliances remain covered under their warranty.  I am so disappointed to be treated in this manner as I am a customer of over 6 years.  I will not be renewing with them ever again.  In the future this company needs to discuss stipulations with their customers to ensure that they know prior to agreeing to the warranty's policy/contract what needs to be done in order to stay current and remain covered as promised through their warranty.

Select [redacted] Warranty has bee in contact with the customer to try and resolve the issue, we have reached an agreement and have sent the customer a Reimbursement Agreement form.We have received the form as of 04/07/2015 and advised the customer that the check will be mailed on Friday, April 10.

We went ahead and issued the customer a full refund. The customer should be able to view their refund on their credit card statement within the next 2-3 business days.

The customer was refunded 175.00 on 8/15/2015, we can refund the cancellation fee of 75.00 as a courtesy.The policy clearly states that freon is not covered, we are unable to refund a customer in full due tot the fact that they disagree with a non-covered item, after they read and signed the contract..Select Home Warranty sent a tech tot he customers home and they diagnosed the issue, we did fulfill the contractual obligation.

We spoke to the customer about her experience with us. We have agreed to cover her claim for $273. We have already issued a credit back to her card which can take 1-3 days to post to her account.

We have already approved the customer for the policy limit.

I am rejecting this response because: yes that's true they have contacted me after I made that complaint and told me they will mail out the check that day ( it was  Wednesday November at...

12.25) but I still haven't received my check and today is November 13th.

Select Home Warranty determined that the customers' dishwasher was not cost effective to repair, due to it being 15 years old.The customer has been advised that the unit is not worth repairing as it quite old, and we will offer the customer an amount of todays market value, minus the cost of...

We spoke to the customer we have apologized for the negative experience.

We have tried multiple contractors and none work in the area the customer resides in. We have also made many attempts to locate additional technicians who are new to us and they all do not work with warranty companies. The customer refused to hire their own technician. Unfortunately, there is...

nothing more we can do. We have issued the customer a full refund of all premiums paid for the year. We apologize for any inconvenience. The customer should be able to view this refund on their credit card statement within the next 2-3 business days.

I am rejecting this response because: they are not telling the truth. The breakdown of the refund was discussed after a partial refund was sent to my account.  Joseph Williams did not breakdown shat would be taken out of my refund from the beginning.  Anyways if the contractor had any concerns and did not want yo service us why did he come back and fix the a/c unit when I said I would pay the entire amount  out of my pocket and he and came on July 3 at 4 pm and fixed my unit.  He refused to fix it if select home warranty was sending him because he wouldn't get payment from them  Also he gave us the name of another warranty company to use that were better to use that would cover us better and a honest company not like these rude lying jack as.  No one in know will ever use this sorry as company.  I can call the contractor right now and he will be more than happy to talk to me and if I need him he would come with no problem.  This company needs to be put out of business. They are no good!

We have tried to reach out to the customer over the last few days but have not heard back. She may call Mr [redacted] at ###-###-#### for help with this issue.

The customer had an a bove ground spa that was not covered. The customer disputed the entire cost of the policy there for they have all the money back. There is no refund or reimbursement due .

We did speak with the customer and have approved a claim reimbursement

Select Home Warranty mailed a check in the amount of 400.00 to the customer on 09/01/2015

The claim is covered , we have reached out to the customer but have not heard back yet.

I am rejecting this response because:
The Business called me and told me that they had approved my repair for 100 and that they only install standard grade thermostats.  I had a reprogrammable thermostat and standard grade for that thermostat is less than $100.  So I could have gotten something comparable to what I had.  In fact, the thermostat that was installed was only $20 dollars but the installer billed the company for $100.  The business told me that the company ripped them off and that I needed to contact the installer directly.  That I should have informed them before they paid the installer.  I had called them immediately but the company did nothing about it.
