I am rejecting this response because, as I submitted in my complaint, I was approved for a whole new unit PRIOR to purchasing it yet I was only approved for $135 initially and now only $185 out of...
an almost $900 purchase that I was promised to be reimbursed for, PER THE WARRANTY COMPANY. I told them previously I did not agree with this amount but they could send the document if they still wanted to. I have not signed it and do not believe I should have to due to their guarantees within my contract. I have not heard from them AT ALL for weeks now, even after sending MULTIPLE emails and even leaving voice messages...until right after I submitted this complaint (convenient). I actually would even consider a resolution if they would just pay for the hot water heater & associated parts (no installation costs) but not $185 out of a $894 bill that THEY said they would pay! They can even listen to the recorded call on that morning (January 13th) if needed.

Select Home Warranty has looked into the customer's account and they are owed an additional 125.00 for the claim, but if they cancel the policy early they are still subject to the cancellation terms.

I need to know...
what amount will you be refunding. I will not accept anything less $250.00. I'm well aware of what the contract states. Its all determine on how an employee is TRAINED to enter the claim. I stated the thermostat box was causing the leak when I called and filled the claim. I spoke to two reps and neither of them told me that the claim would not be approved. Below is the exact wording of the contract and the thermostat is necessary to the functionality of the water heater. Water Heater. This Agreement covers all modules, components and parts of the water heater necessary to the functionality of the water heater. This Agreement does NOT cover solar or tankless water heating systems or the components thereof. This Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules, components and parts relating to the water heating system: (i) flues; (ii) drain piping; (iii) pressure reducing valve; (iv) leaks(v)pumps Systems Covered. I am rejecting this response because:
at the time of buying this so called Home Warranty from Select Home Warranty their Sales rep Adam assured me "All is covered" no mention of certain issues not covered. The Revdex.com should keep this response on file as consumers should request Select Home Warranty contract before paying and should go through it very carefully as as I found out their contract does not cover as much as they cover. Consumers should be given the chance to find for themselves what they are getting into.

I am rejecting this response because:
I do not feel as if the contractor did his job. It was never said what kind of sluggish was in the line it was just said that sluggish was in the line & it was not a root which the contractor stated that he was 95 percent sure that it was. He is the one suggested we pay him $450 to remove it or we could call [redacted] to get a quote which I did cause I understood the warranty company didn't cover roots. I tried solving this matter whit Select Home Warranty & they don't seem to understand that it was no root & the contractor should have been able to snake the line to unstop it.
We did speak to the customer and helped them with a claim reimbursement
We are working on hiring a technician for this customer to obtain a formal diagnosis for their claim submission.

I am rejecting this response because: I went around and around with them in regards to my pool pump/motor. Not one time did they even try to help me on getting anyone out. I paid 599.99...
for this warranty service and they have yet to do anything about it, and also too, to have a lame excuse of my so-called pool pump/motor was depreciated and that's all they would cover was 100.00 and then I resubmitted the claim and they went up to 150.00. that's a joke! I have read some good reviews and some horrific reviews about this company and I'm wondering why one review stated they replaced their pool pump/motor with no questions asked. They didn't even send anyone out to look at the pump, but go by pictures I had to send in through my cell phone and they based their decision on that. I would like none other to get my money back from this company with the exception of their 150.00, and I will be done with them. I haven't even used their services!

The customer has already requested to cancel their contract. Their contract will be cancelled per section 13.2 of their warranty. Unfortunately the customer is not eligible for a full refund as full refunds are issued within the first 30 days of purchasing their warranty. Since they purchased the...
warranty in January they will be cancelled per section 13.2. Once their refund check is issued it will be mailed out to them.
It specifically states that leaks are excluded. Therefore, regardless of the functionality of the unit, there was a leak and because the unit was leaking the customers claim has been denied. No additional funds due at this time.
The customer will be receiving a full refund due to their experience with Select Home Warranty and we do apologize for any inconvenience in this matter
