This complaint purposely deceived their customs. I talked to a lot of customers who are in the same situation and they don't speak or read English. The number of complaint against this company is underestimated since a lot of people who were deceived don't even know how to speak English. Who will help them?

I would also like to add that the [redacted] now super sport 24 hour fitness has contacted me and we did speak. The conversation was about my complaint about not being grandfathered in. The branch manager at the [redacted] branch claim that from his record that the gym that is nearby my home which I frequently visit an they now have change the gym to a super sport which I am currently not grandfathered in. They are saying that I have not been to that gym in 2 years. Which I told him that he is lying and he says that is what his record says. This is what his record shows, I am a fit person, and I frequently go to the gym 6 days a week and I like to shower every day before work, so not showering after a gym session before work for 2 years... Ok, I feel that I might have to get a lawyer involved at this point since they are in control of who checks in an out of there system which leaves me speechless and out of my hand as a customer...

The business response was to have a local club manager talk to me. The club manager for the [redacted] location contacted me, and asked that I
meet with her to discuss this complaint. During our meeting, she
explained the specific criteria, all hidden and unknown to members, that
were necessary to be granted access to the replacement Super Sport in
[redacted] club after the original Active in [redacted] club closed. I did
not go to the Active in [redacted] before it closed because it was located further than
the Active in [redacted] so I obviously did not qualify nor did I dispute access to that
club. I told her I had significant attendance to the Active in [redacted]
before it closed, but was still not granted access to the replacement
Super Sport. She recalled that an upgrade offer of (<$5/month) was
given to those who wanted access to the Super Sport in [redacted] after the
Active in [redacted] closed. I was never presented with such an offer
despite the Active in [redacted] club being my primary gym, in terms of
proximity and high volume of visits, before it closed. Also, I told her
that I visited the Active in [redacted] significantly before it closed, but
was not given access to the Super Sport that replaced it. She had no
information to provide regarding the [redacted] location, but did say that my home
gym, the location where I first purchased/began my membership, may have
been one of the many criteria to be grandfathered in. What is the
purpose of an assigned home gym when I have unrestricted access to all
Active and Sport clubs? For clarification, I said I began my membership
in [redacted] in 2007, along with 4 friends, because it was a more central
location for us to meet even though I lived in [redacted] at the time and have since 2006. We each
purchased the All Club Sport which gave us access to all Active and
Sport level clubs; Sport level clubs generally have newer and more
exercise equipment and facilities in better quality and larger
quantities than Active clubs. I explained that I could have gone to the nearest Sport
club, but intentionally made the Active in [redacted] my primary workout
location because was closest in proximity and travel time. The [redacted] location was the closest while four other locations were about equally distant. That I was not concerned with the quality and quantity of the equipment, but wanted the shortest commute per workout. My meeting ended with the club manager saying that because I did
not meet the criteria for the Active in [redacted] I will not be given access to the [redacted]
Super Sport, and can pay more to upgrade my membership for Super Sport
access otherwise go elsewhere.It wasn't
until after those Active clubs closed that I began putting together
small pieces of information that were revealed by various employees of
24 Hour Fitness through multiple attempts to approach and resolve the
issue. I remember when I first began my membership there were no Super Sport clubs in a 20 mile radius, but today there are at least 5. The situation remains where I can
no longer access three of the five closest locations, two of them were
where I had a high volume of visits, because those locations were closed
and reopened as Super Sport clubs above my membership level. I can only
pay more or travel much further to another non Super Sport location.Thank you for your time and any assistance.

My situation has been resolved. I was allowed to have the same options as my husband with our memberships.
