Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Hello,I have double checked with my bank who have confirmed that I have ONLY received one credit of $29.95 on 11/**/2015I am requesting that two additional amounts of $29.95 also be refunded for the two additonal months that were charged. The claim that the other two refunds were made on 11/**/2015 are not reflected in my account and not validated by my bank. I appreciate the follow up and speedy resolution. Thanks[redacted]

Roomster is a legitimate website, we are on the market for many years and we have millions of satisfied customers around the world. Our voicemail clearly states that you have to contact Helpdesk for any questions. You have purchased 5-day Subscription, we do not have a 3-day subscription. We can not force our members to email you. It is possible the issue is with your search and criteria. We have no way of knowing if you make for a desirable roommate or if the rent you are asking is fair in your market. On the Payment page, we state all the information about future renewals and how to prevent them, this information is available for the customer even before they purchase a subscription. By clicking on “I authorize this transaction” button, you agreed to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and that your card will be charged. When you purchased a subscription we have sent you a receipt to your email and a message to your helpdesk with the same information. We warned you about future renewals and how to prevent future billing on 3 different occasions and you failed to follow any of them. [redacted] As a courtesy to you we have issued you a refund on the last transaction. We consider this matter is closed.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution and the matter has been resolved.
*NB: What a money grab on behalf of [redacted]. How can an account be cancelled but still charged. Not to mention that the billing page was difficult to find and the 'title' of purchase was misleading -- 15-day trial -- billed for 'three consecutive months'? And no contact phone number to be found anywhere on the site. But I did click on accept, so fool me once ... shame on me.
Definitely sketchy business practices. I have been forewarned.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Also She used our service during the all period of the subscription, we have records of all her login history. To provide a great customer service and as a courtesy to her we have issued a refund on the last transaction. We consider this matter is closed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Many other Revdex.com complaints have been resolved with a complete refund. I do not understand why my complaint was handled any differently. You cannot set a precedent and then change it at your whim.

Purchased a 3-day membership for about $6 with Roomster. They NEVER mentioned my account would automatically renew to the monthly price of $49.95 once the 3 days was up. Submitted a refund request on that 3rd day. They messaged back on November [redacted] saying I would receive a full refund in a few business days. Two weeks later, I still haven't received my refund.

subscription ended.
We state on the billing history page when her subscription is being renewed, so that she can end her subscription before a new billing cycle begins. She were required to check off on the terms of use TWICE in order to create an account with us. The subscription policy is stated on all these pages:
1. Terms of use
2. Credit card page
3. The subscription tab on account page
4. FAQ page
5. Paypal made her sign off on this as well and sent her and email confirming this with instructions on how to cancel and sent an email for every renewal.
But to provide a great customer service as a courtesy we have issued refund on the last transaction.

contacted us. (please see the screenshot ‘Helpdesk”) We don’t have and never had 2 week free trial. When person creates a Roomster account she already uses a free version. We have 15 day subscription for $14.95. To purchase a subscription person has to input her credit card information and agreed to our Terms of Use and Privacy policy. She could had cancel her subscription at anytime, even right after purchase to prevent any future billing, as we stated on the Helpdesk message (please see the screenshot ‘Helpdesk”). Also, there is a “Cancel subscription” link found on the “settings page” at her account. We state this information on Roomster Receipt (please see the screenshot ‘Receipt”). $45.95 was a scheduled renewal for 30 day subscription (please see the screenshot ‘Receipt”), not for a background check. Roomster doesn’t offer a background check. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; color: #454545} We have no idea, who she met with, but he was definitely not a Roomster employee.
