Dear Revdex.com, thank you for following up. Shortly after I opened the case, a representative from Navient called me and left his number. I returmed his call and I left a voice message with my contact infomation (he was not available) but never received a call back. On 1/13 they sent the standard canned message saying "payment options may be available"- copy attached (this is mostly the reply I have been getting since my November deferment application)...This was followed by another cryptic letter which does not explain whether deferment application was accepted or rejected, and if rejected why??...I am also attaching a copy for your reference. So, as of today I still don't know the status of my deferment application; additionally the Navient now made me "late" on payments. Any additional help would be much appreciated in this frustrating situation.  Thank you

The business Navient has not solved my problem (allowed me access to my online account to review student loan information) nor have they mailed me a response. Please reinstate this complaint and add lying about mail correspondence as well.
Is there any government agency that I can complain to about this issue?
Thank you Revdex.com.

[redacted] called me 1 time said he was looking into it and would call me back. I have not heard from him since. I feel like this is the same type of phone call that I've dealt with before. He said what he had to say to make me feel better and I do not because I have not heard from anyone since August 29th.

I received a letter in the mail from Chuck of the customer complaint division. The letter essentially outlined that they have requested a refund of my check and will process a new check towards the correct loan once received. I am not satisfied with this for several reasons: (1) I have been making payments during a period they cashed my check (2) Navient continued to accrue interest on my loan despite their error (3) I had to borrow money above and beyond the check they cashed and applied incorrectly in order to pay the loan they said I still owed them (4) I have on record/taped several employees lie to me about the status of the loan (e.g. one employee told me during a recorded call that the matter was resolved and I no longer owe on the loan) and (5) I had to take several days off in order to achieve a response, I would like compensation for this missed time from work resolving their error.

I believe the letter in the mail to be purely a formality with no immediate resolution offer by them. The resolution I see is to extinguish my loan immediately. I request the Revdex.com to assist me in reaching mediation. If not, I would request litigation to proceed on the matter.
Regards,
[redacted]

Problem:
Navient has continued to try to alter Saliie Mae Promissory Notes After I contacted you once before Navient sent me a letter stating that they were going to review the account. Keep in mind I have not received any letter, e-mail, phone call or anything Instead of investigating they retaliate and send my loans to a collection agency. I also reported to CFPB and as a result they had a advocate call me unfourtantly I missed the call, and when I call [redacted] the advocate back he dose not return my calls. I do not know what the issue is when a I return a call and leave a message they feel they do not need to return the calls, In which means that they are still playing games with my account.

Being that they have altered the promissory note, in which includes federal loans means that the promissory note is now in void. I want the money returned from the schools that was paid from these promissory notes.

Problem:
Navient still refused to provide me with the requested documents they reported to you that they mailed me this info. I have not received it. The only thing I received was a letter saying they weren't going to do anything. I have since called [redacted] letting her know this and she wont return my calls. They say I have to take her to court but if I do that they still arent saying they will take this out of my name or give me any resolution. My information was used as co signer without my permission on a school loan. I contacted Navient and provided them with all the requested info to remove it from my Credit Report. Navient refuses to do anything even after I filed a police report and provided these docs. I did not consent to this loan and Navient hasn't provided me with an application that I signed. I also called Navient to find out about the balance and payment info and they released information relating to another account that belongs to my ex girlfriend. This is a violation as they released account information to a third party. I want the account removed from my Credit report as I have provided all documentation they requested. They never called to verify if I approved to be a co-applicant and they didn't provide me with signed application. They apparently sent and email which my ex uses my email account and I have multiple email address. They even refused to let me speak to the fraud department regarding the claim. My ex has since made payments on the account and Navient has instructed me that I will have to take her to court. I shouldn't have to do anything as I'm the victim getting bills for an account I didn't authorized. Navient even told me over the phone she has made payments on her other accounts and 2k on this one. Account number:9441894404 Loan #[redacted]

Desired Outcome:
Navient should remove my name from anything to do with this account as its not mine and I didn't authorize it to be opened.. They should also be fined for releasing information to a third party. I have asked Navient to supply the IP address as to where they got confirmation from me on that I approved the account to be opened. I would also like Navient to supply me with a copy of the email that was sent to my email address. The time line of events for how this account was opened. Meaning [redacted] applied for this account on this Date. Emails were sent to confirm application on this date. The IP addresses that confirmed those emails and the dates they they were confirmed. I would like copies of all the emails and correspondence that has been sent to both parties. I would like Navient to tell me what exactly they need from me to resolve this

[I have not received Navient's letter yet and doubt that they actually will send one, since I believe it was just noted in their reply to you to get you off their back. I did manage to contact their so called Consumer Advocate [redacted] on about my tenth attempt on the phone and he was rather rude and repeatedly interrupted me. He basically said that there is nothing wrong with a business that has not established a relationship with a person calling them on the phone from telephone numbers that do not show up on caller id and demanding personal information. Then if the person refuses to give them the information threaten to destroy their credit. I tried to explain to him that I have worked for several years in IT in the health insurance industry and that even under the stringent HIPAA guidelines we are not required to demand the level of detailed information that Navient considers "normal". According to [redacted] this information is a requirement to determine that I am who I say I am. Note: they called me at my home number from a phone that doesn't display on caller id! Because of this it is Navient that should have had to verify who they are and in no case did their callers make an effort to do so or to point me in a direction that could verify who they were. In any case, I told him that a minimal amount of information to verify who I am would have been okay, but they far exceeded my limit when they required both my birthdate and last four positions of my social security number. Given the last four positions of a social security number, the odds of guessing the remaining numbers for a person from Kentucky is about 1 in 800 and in several other states it is much less than that. Note: this is because in Kentucky the first three digits will usually be between 400 and 407, which are only 8 possibilities times the 100 possible values for positons four and five. He says I could have used an account number with them but again they had not made an effort to establish a business relationship with me so I had knowledge any such number existed I guess that does not matter since none of their callers mentioned it. Next [redacted] said I should have investigated Navient to determine that it was legitimate, but I thought that due to the way they did business that they were just bunch of people trying to steal identities. I guess [redacted] thinks I should be more trusting but I often receive crank calls from people telling me they want to "fix" my computer (another rather common ploy to steal identifying information) and I was also a victim of the [redacted] Credit card phishing fiasco that occurred last year. Luckily, [redacted] replaced my cards before the thieves had a chance to use the information they stole. Finally, Navient took no responsibility for not contacting my son who the loans were for. He had placed the loans on deferral early last year due to unemployment and Navient removed them from that status without notifying him of the change in status. In any case, I want to thank the Revdex.com for their efforts on my behalf in this matter. I feel that if Navient were a reputable business they would have taken my complaint passed on from you more seriously. But, in this case it appears that they just want to brush it off and blame the offended party. My next planned steps are to write a letter to the president and members of the board of Navient on this matter and if they do not respond to my satisfaction I will follow up with the Federal Trade Commission over their Identity Theft like business tactics. ] Regards,
