On Tuesday, 12/04/2018, I had an ADT security system installed in my residence in Houston, TX to replace my existing *** alarm systemThe installer, who identified himself as Andrew installed the system which was part of a promotion that included a $gift card for the new serviceThe original promotion was for a monthly monitoring service fee of $but after the installation was completed Andrew stated it was going to be $due to the house not have a landline a sim card would need to be used to transmit the signalAndrew offered an additional $in gift cards to offset the monthly feeI advised Andrew I would think about it and get back to himI contacted ADT as I had additional questions about the service and was advised they did not service the account and would need to contact Defenders to discuss, which I was not aware Andrew was contacted on Wednesday 12/05/and advised I wanted to proceed with accepting the gift cards to which he would submit the reque

I answered an advertisement for home security service and set up an appointment when I arrived home the sales person was already there He had already drilled a hole in the wall of my new home without my consent He then proceeded to give me a different price than what was quoted to me Neither the appointment setters or the sales person who came indicated they could not connect my services through my internet provider, *** when he told me this I informed him that I was very dissatisfied with *** and would not be working with them but he had already drilled in my wall of my new home without telling me what was required I would like compensation for the cost of spackling over the hole in the wall of my home

They have horrible customer serviceSpoke to an agent named Pam, didn't place the call on "hold" and I was able to hear her complaining about having to take my call to her coworkers and managerI've had to now schedule appointments just to have cameras installed, 3rd call took me over an hour just to speak to someone again! They lack customer skills and give ADT a very bad name

I have been an ADT customer since OCT Prior to this installation, as an *** Insurance member, ADT was the primary and first choice for home security The ADT representative I scheduled the installation with did not provide the same billing information when the ADT/Defenders requested after my security equipment was installed Actually the installation was delayed because I called Defenders to verify the installer’s request for an initial payment using a credit card

This letter is in response to the complaint #*** filed by *** ***By way of background, Defender Security Company DBA Protect Your Home is an Indiana corporation that specializes in selling residential alarm systemsWe have been an ADT authorized dealer since that sells and installs ADT monitored security systemsOnce the security system is installed, the contract is then purchased, billed, serviced and maintained by ADT
We have researched into Ms. *** complaint and located her account. Our records show we sent Ms. *** her permit decal on July 14, and confirmed delivery on July 17, with permit #***. We also sent the proper documents to the City of Sunrise, both documents are attached for your records. Ms.*** was sent a proper invoice on July 2, 2014.
Unfortunately, collections efforts will continue until Ms. *** provides payment for her alarm services permit which we obtained in July
We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration that the consumer may have experienced and we appreciate the opportunity to address her concerns
