They baited and switched me and the tech that installed my system forged my e-signature on a contract that ended up being double what they told me I was going to payCalled up to speak with the manager and she was completely heartless and didn't care at allThis company is a disgrace and they are doing nothing about the tech or my contractUnbelievableI can only imagine what they have done to other familiesI am a single mom with two girls- they don't care one bit that they are disrupting our lives

I chose ADT Alarm System because of their camera options, and the special they were offering at that timeOnce the installer appeared at my home, it was then communicated to me that they were a contractor of ADTThe technician and I went over what system I wanted, along with pricing/promotions being offeredThe initial day, the technician did not have all of his equipment to complete the installation, and had to use my personal tools and ladder to assistI asked him to leave my home after a hour installation, and it was past 10pmHe stated that he would return the next day, which was a Friday AfternoonAgain, he was ill-prepared and another tech had to bring toolsMy house was damaged in the process, which I filed a claim for, and have not been repaid after months of submitting documents/receiptsMoving forward, I contacted ADT/Defenders the following Saturday and notified them of my cancellation requestI was emailed documents to sign/fax by midnight of August 14thI faxed

I live in *** *** ** and I got a flyer I was going to go with another company but called this flyer and my sister has adt so I though they were good the lady said I would be getting all this stuff in the flyer free almost everything windows and doors sensors a visa card for $so I canceled the other people and went with them and understand I thought they were adt that I was dealing with themself it was not it was defenders that work with adt we worked out stuff with the lady by phone then the guy came out to put it in for $i though yes it was $just for them to install they started the install riped out my old system then stoped and said it was $for everything and I up grated to wyfi and they said you get a free camera in the add also no to add a camera ya they will give it to you for $they don’t say that in the add no free sensors stupid me I signed the paper work because it was half way in and they just put a hole in my wall I called back three times asking about the flyer and everything they said was free was not they basically said the flyer was lying and free was not really free still don’t have a free $visa card thats a lie to now im stuck in a two year contract my sister went through adt themself she pays less way less a month everything was free she got a free month and a free camera no hidden charges for that adt I would get ride of this company guaranteed in two years im done wont go back with them ever please don’t fall for them even talking on the phone lady gave me all kinds of stuff and promises and the installation guy gave me none of that plus I paid $pluss $installation I was not promised that the other company was way way way cheaper but I went with defenders because they said they had and promised better so ripped of adt and defenders you should be shut down never ever recommend you ever such lyiers nobody could help get me out of this contract im done with you bad business and they are ruid very ruid

Representative came to my house and blatantly misinformed me of the different plans that were availableHe promised a $plan which would work off my wifi, after calling ADT headquarters I am now being told that this plan does not exist without a landlineI have this in writing, cell texts from the representative and also on the completed forms he left behind

They were suppose to refund me money paid to them after downgrading the service I haveThey came and got the equipment but would not refund my money bavk

Defenders fraudulently forged my signature for a contract, using customer name and attached to my social security number

This complaint is in regards to an alarm system which was supposed to be installed at the home of *** ***, *** *** *** *** *** ** *** A call was made to schedule an appointment in March The rep on the phone indicated they could not pull a credit report on *** ***, for unknown reasons, as Ms ***’s credit score is 800+ “ADT” asked if there was someone else at the residence who could have a report run so an appointment could be made We were specifically told they would; not schedule an appointment without running a credit report, so I, *** ***, provided my personal information including SS# and an appointment was scheduled *** *** had ALL conversations with ADT personnel after I authorized a credit check Prior to the appointment being scheduled, it was explained very specifically to ADT that we cou;d NOT have the “account” under the name of *** as the property is owned by *** ADT indicated that would be no probl

I put in a request with ADT to gain some more information for a home security setup I then received a call from Defenders - ADT Authorized Premier Provider (07/10/2018) and spoke with different people (Adam ID# 19650, and Chris ID# 3680, reference # ***) We discussed options and upgrades and they stated in order to set up an appointment to review the merchandise and decide if I wanted to have their services I needed to give them a credit card number or bank account number I did not have my credit card at the moment I then mentioned I did not currently have the funds in my account I was told that it was fine I would not be charged ($104.94) until my appointment and if I decided to have the serviceAfter then giving my bank account number we then scheduled an appointment for 07/19/

We received an unsolicited brochure offering new installation for $27.99/monthIt states "It's all you need to get set up and It's all for FREE with your monthly ADT monitoring services."
Unbelievably, the technician arrived (pleasant enough), proceeds to install the main box on an agreed upon spot, walks around with us and asks where we want sensors installed, and then tells us it will cost $4000,00!!!!!!!!!!!! Appalled, my husband informed him he could take the equipment out, patch the holes and paint the spotThe price started coming downHe left for a couple of hours as I had left for awhileWe decided to eliminate several windows from the sensors to get the price down to $THAT IS NOT FREE!!!!!!!
We object violently to the marketing practice of installing the equipment and then naming a price, we object to the seriously misleading (if not lying) brochure, and seek the $back

The business is stalling refunding my deposit of $made on Jul 24, for the installation of a home security systemI cancelled withing the hour, but have yet to receive my refund back to my credit cardI called the business several times and was told the funds have been returned, but as of today, Jul 27, my credit card company, *** ***, has no evidence of that

The first issue is with regard to business practicesOn the phone, when booking services (to have a home security system installed), I was quoted a price and assured it was adequate to cover all my needs When the technician arrived, who I later learned worked on commission, he quoted me several thousand dollars over the original cost Every amount he suggested seemed to made up off the top of his head until we negotiated a price I accepted However, he was very unclear as to what he was installing and installed items I explicitly stated I did not want I called within hours to have these items removed from the home A technician did so I have never received a refund for the items removed from the home despite calling repeatedly Additionally, on a monthly basis I am being charged for Pulse, a service I do not have Despite calls to let them know about this overcharge, and being assured I'd receive a credit in October, I was again overcharged on Oct8th I have NEVER be

On 7/31/I had an ADT system installed in my newly constructed home I advised the technician that I already had five smoke alarms in my home and did not need another one I recently retired from the Foreign Service, in June and did not actually reside in my home until September I began to notice that in addition to my monthly service charge $ that I received another monthly bill from ADT for $ I was told it was for additional equipment I had requested I continued to communicate with ADT and finally printed out my contract that showed a smoke communicator for $ I found it strange, since I had not requested that equipment I then actively went throughout my home home and found the device hidden behind one of my smoke detectors I made an appointment 11/8/with ADT to have it removed only find out that Defenders (installers)had placed it there with no corresponding location that ADT could find I had it removed by ADT and requested a refund to which they s

With 1,complaints and negative reviews, I suppose that it's overload to add another, but in the hope that there will be positive change, I will briefly say that Defenders in Farmington Hills MI should be avoided at all costs Extremely unprofessional behavior as well as bait and switch tactics on the part of the technician ADT doesn't deserve to be represented by such a poor and dysfunctional outfit

I had a horrible experience with this company After I spoke with sales rep who stated he worked for Adt I scheduled an appointment After install the police arrived at my new house guns in hand due to the alarm Tech tripping the alarm weeks later I received a letter from the county stating if it happened again I would get a dollar fine Today I received a bill from defenders for an electrical permit fee for dollars This was never disclosed to me This company should be out of business They are a scam
