Had security system installed on 3/29/with ADT Paid $for additional equipment at contract signing Wasn't happy with the system and cancelled the contract via fax and regular mail on 3/31/(had until 4/1/to cancel per the written contract) Additional equipment was picked up by ADT contractor on 4/6/and I was left with only the basic equipment that I was told would be free on charge Still haven't received any type of refund for the $I paid for the additional equipment that was returned Have called ADT numerous times and have also contacted them in writing Still no resolution, so I disputed the $I paid with my credit card company I have pages of documentation that proves my claim I do not owe the $that they have charged me because the equipment was returned

Had appointment with ADT (Protect your home) technician to talk about installation of security system with additions added, due to limited finances on that date to get everything added, technician added what he could and would be back on 3-2-to finish install, due to technician coming back on 3-technician's system made that appointment a service visit instead of a installation visit, the difference between the was for install and for serviceI was not willing to have anymore money added to bill in which would make flex payment higher and only solution to be found per technician's boss James was to cancelI did make attempt to email in to ADT cancellation notice, but evidently they never received and are now saying I'm locked into contractSpoke with Mia in Account services with Defenders and they were unwilling to cancel, but were willing to have dedeuctions made to get correct amount for installation, but I did not want their service and they were unwilling to help

I placed a call on 7/6/to ask about a promotional flyer I received in the mail from ADT I only called with questions, not to attain any type of service I spoke to a manager by the name of Michael L*** at 2:30pmCall reference# *** He asked me for my DOB and LAST FOUR DIGITS OF MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER As soon as I provided that info he said "you've been approved for the service" I immediately was concerned and said "wait a minute! What do you mean approved? Did you run a credit check on me somehow? " He said yes I was NEVER EVER ONCE INFORMED about any type of credit authorizationI did not provide my permission at any time at all throughout the call to check my credit nor did I believe it was possible to process any type of credit check by using just the last four digits of a persons social security numberOnce I made it clear that I was upset that my credit was just pulled without my consent or knowledge, Michael advised me to contact 800-689- He then di

I had my ADT system installed by Defenders after an aggressive sales pitch - where I explained that I was going to remodel my house and wanted to wait until after my remodelHowever, the salesman assured me that this wouldn't be a problem as unlimited service was included in my package though my subscription periodSo I agreedI paid a large sum of money to have my system installed and signed a contractNow, that it is time to re-install my sensors they want to charge me for a service visitI called ADT corporate, filed a complain - they sent someone out, free of charge with no hesitation

I received a letter from ADT for $monthly offer and I called to schedule an appointment informing them that I do not have a phone line and they said the offer will be ok with just internetI changed my appointment till I have the internet installed and when they came out to install the equipment, I was advised that the offer is only with a phone line and it will be $Also they charged me $to schedule the appointment but did not tell me that the $will be refunded in a gift card
I told them I am not interested anymore but the representative called his manager and was able to have them provide me with another $gift cards as an apology for the miscommunication
After looking over the papers I was still not interested and the representative called again and was able to get me another $gift card and kept saying he doesn't get paid if I don't sign up today and that it hurts his numbers

I had the Defenders install a system for ADT here in Warrensburg, MO I was overcharged through an error on their part at time of installation and have now spent hours and phones attempting to get them to reverse the charge (which my bank says they never received) I have been on hold, disconnected, transferred, and given the runaround for the past three days, with promised return calls if disconnected My bank says without follow-through by ADT/the Defenders, all I can do is wait for the amount to "age off" of my bank account pending transactions I am disgusted by the mishandling of this by everyone on the Defenders' not one person followed through I am also letting ADT corporate know how this has NOT been handled

I purchased home protection monitoring equipment from Protect Your Home They came out to install and get agreement signed on Saturday October We signed an agreement and I was given a Notice of Cancellation form in which I was able to cancel the transaction, without penalty or obligation within business days (so until midnight of 10-12) On the Notice of Cancellation form that I was given it says to cancel the transaction, I need to fax a signed copy of the Notice of Cancellation to the fax number provided on the form We faxed in the notice of cancellation at 2:10pm on 10-(well within our cancellation window) We have a copy of the fax transmission sheet showing that the fax was successfully sent I have called repeatedly, and I am told the fax was never recieved We faxed the notice of cancellation in again on 10/and again on 10/15, each time making sure to include the fax transmission sheet showing the date and time stamp of the initial fax The last time tw

Last summer (2016) Aaron M*** that worked for defenders (protect your home) came to my house to give me information regarding a new alarm system I told him I was hesitant on getting the alarm because there was a chance I would be moving in He assured me that was the one loop hole in the contract, was if I sold my home or moved and could not take it with me due to another alarm being installed I can get out of it At this point I trusted his information and went forward with getting the new alarmFast forward several months ....I called the company some time in March or April to have my service cancelled on May 9th due to my house being soldAt this time I was told I can not cancel and I can transfer the service to the new owners or to a new locationI tried explaining what I was told from the sale's guy and they told me too bad you are responsible because your contract was for years So I was really up-set and frustrated and decided to ask the new owners if they

I have NEVER, not once in my life, written a review online However, due to my HORRIBLE AND EXTREMELY MISLEADING experience with Protect Your Home/Defenders (an ADT Authorized Dealer), I feel so strongly to try to prevent others from dealing with the sleazy company who took advantage of me, wasted my time, and left holes in my living room wall
During my phone conversation with Debbie on December 28, 2017, she told me she could honor the promotion I received in the mail for $(including a one year warranty) or $(including free labor and parts for life) plus a $installation fee She said I would receive a $VISA gift card in the mail She asked me if I had a land line and I told her no She NEVER told me this would be an issue and would ultimately cost me DOUBLE THE MONTHLY FEE
Then, on the same day, Howard, the "technician" (he is really a sales person who pretends to be a technician) showed up in an unmarked car (this was the first red flag) and immediately started to install the pad on the wall by drilling multiple holes in the wall I asked him several times about my package I stated the price Debbie provided me over the phone of $27.99, in addition to what the package included, which was one (1) motion sensor, door/window sensors, wireless remotes, etc He responded each time by saying, "I haven't looked at your package yet, but I will review everything with you." He was blowing me off and avoiding my questions I thought this was strange How could you install something when you don't even know what my package is? Why were you avoiding my questions? I tried to trust Howard even though I had a strange feeling thinking maybe this is the way they do this Shame on me I'll cut write to the case He installed the pad so that I was in a bad position once he told me at the end that the monthly fee would not be $ Instead, because I did not have a land line, the monthly fee would be DOUBLE (from $to $52.99) My husband and I were outraged because we told Howard several times in the beginning of our interaction that we did not have a landline He knew! But he proceeded to drill holes in our living room wall so that he could wezel his way into a sales that would have cost us double each month then agreed upon with Debbie We had Howard remove the pad leaving multiple holes in our living room wall, our time wasted, and feeling completed taken advantage of We are in the process of getting estimates so that this disgusting company pays for the damage done to our house I have never dealt with a sleazier company in my life

I have had Protect Your Home as as authorized dealer of ADT since around July of When I signed up for the service, my husband put his card on Auto-Pay so payments would be automatically deducted from his account In December of 2015, my husband lost his debit card, so the payment did not process
When I was contacted by a representative in December, I made the payment that was missed and also gave them my husband's new card information so the payment could be taken out through autopay

The installation tech that come to my home sold me a outdoor security camera then tells me he can’t instal the camera another technician would have to come and install the camera but left me a indoor camera to use After a couple of weeks I trying to get the camera installed defender informs me that the tech was not authorized to sale a outdoor camera and there was nothing that could be done When calling customer service I asked multiple to times to speak with a manager or support about the issue and was refused the ability to speak with a managerAlso when the security system was installed I asked the technician when the bill would be due and was told about days the next business day the try to take a withdraw for months of service

Defenders protect your home, a company that installs alarm systems for ADT was at my house today to install what was to be a free alarm systemAfter trying to sell me a $5000+ system I finally had them partially install the promised free systemThe tech did not have the correct products with them and installed a partial systemThis system was "working" when the tech left so he said but upon trying to make a phone call hours after he left, I realized that the alarm was not active and my phone line was downThe company has a hour customer service hotline but no hour service techniciansI now have to wait for an appointment and miss work for their egregious errorThere is no way the system was working when the tech left and then hours later was notThis is a terrible company and their "parent" partner in crime told me (ADT) that it was not their issueHow can sub hire a company that represents you and have no responsibility for them!

I signed a contract with Defenders security PROTECT YOUR HOME authorize Dealer for ADT, last July to my great surprise my alarm service has been canceled I contacted ADT I was told I have to take the matter with Defenders I called Defenders did not get any ware with them today I got a bill from Defenders charge me for months service and the reason given to me from ADT is my account was sent back to Defenders for billing please note I am the customer and in the middle of confusion with ADT and its authorize dealer Defenders I will tell you the service from DEFENDERS is the worst in customer service I just got a call from Defenders in the middle of typing my complaint agent name is Emelly ID # she was very rude to me on the phone I still does not have service at at my house all I want at this time since they are the one that have canceled my monitoring just sign me out off the contract and let me go my way with no penalty

I never thought I would find myself wanting or needing a security system But my situation changed and ADT put me at ease Jonathan the tech that installed my alarm, took a lot of time to make sure that I was getting the security system that fit my needs
