I called you multiple times in October and November for you to come out and fix a problem with my alarm, which you did not do You missed appointments with me and as a result, my alarm incorrectly rang and alerted the police, and now I have pay two bills totaling $per the attached invoices e-mailed to customerinfo@protectyourhome.com,
I think you should fully indemnify me for these bills, as you are responsible for the alarm failure considering my repeated attempts to get you to come and fix it, and your repeated failure to show up to the appointments If you look at my call history and appointment history, you will see this reflected on my account Better yet, listen to all the recorded calls you should have on file for me
Please advise on how you will make me whole Thank you

On 12/22/a Defenders-Protect Your Home technician came to my mother's home in ***, ** (I was given a window of am to amThe technician arrived at 10:am) to discuss the installation of an ADT security systemAfter some discussion and back and forth about pricing, I agreed verbally with the caveat that I receive something in writing describing the cost in its entiretyAs part of the verbal agreement, I allowed the ADT contractor install a security panel on the wall and come back at a later date to install the remaining equipmentI never received full breakdown of cost (just $per month service for three years)I verbally agreed to $per month for three years with an $one time payment for additional equipment I was given three days to back out of the contract but never received a written breakdown for the additional $worth of equipment (I only received one component of the offer in writing, an email with an attachment explaining the monthly ch

My experience with ADT was very bad from the beginningAfter somebody broke into my house while I was sleeping I found necessary to get a security systemThe first company I called was ADT, because it was very well rated on the internetOver the phone, the person I spoke with told me that the equipment is free and I will pay between $and $a month depending on how I customize my package, and the installation time will be around 2-hoursSo based on what I heard I made an appointment, and I took hours off from work to be home when they come to install itAfter the technician came over, he looked over my house and he said that only the equipment will cost me around $and the monthly fee will be $I went over everything he choose to install and got the equipment down to $which is still not free, not sure where the free equipment was coming fromIn addition to that, the installation took almost hours, so I had to call at work and take the whole day offAfter having the equipment for over week, I wasn't happy with of the cameras and the doorbell camera and I decided to return themWhen I made the appointment for a technician to come over they said he will come between 3-5pm and will take around minutesHe came at 5:and took more than hourBefore the technician left I asked him when I can find out what my monthly bill will be and how much refund I will get after returning the equipment and he said that I will receive an e-mail describing all these in about hourIt has been a week and still haven't received anythingAfter days I started to call ADT but nobody knew anything about the equipment returned and nobody was able to provide me any information's about my refund and my monthly billI tried every day for almost week to get these information's without any successI don't think it can be worse than thatThey only care about taking your money without providing anything in return, not even a correct information about what they sell and how much it costsI have decided to return all the equipment and close my contract with ADT but the problem is that they say that I can't cancel itI don't understand why because the person who sold me the system said that I have months money back warranted, and this is visible on ADT website as wellI won't stop until my problem is solved

Well first they over charged me for the installationWas supposed to be dollarsCharged me for dollarsWas finally refunded the money after almost weeksAlso never received my gift card from my last install that was supposed to be "free"So I finally talk to a managerSays he will put my money on the card yesteedayCalled yesterday it was not approvedThey said its pending approvalSo I ask why and the lady gave me such attitude and began to be getting really rude and raising her voiceI asked to speak with a manager and she said there in a meetingThis is the 10th time where I have asked for a manager and was tild they were in a meetingAlso they don't tell you they are not ADT when you first do business with themThey pretreade to be ADT

Was given incorrect and misleading information by a sales agent over the phone for a home security systemUpon day of installation was told by technician the pricing was different than promised by sales agentI requested that they cancel the installation and leave the premisesThe technician (security advisor) David S***, then called his supervisor named NickAfter he spoke with Nick and explained why I was wanting to cancel the installation, Nick asked to speak with me, he apologized and asked if he gave me the next three months of monitoring free and two $Bisa Gift Cards would I please allow the security system to be installedI agreed that would be acceptableToday I check my bank account which I do daily and I find a charge of $83.16to my debit card for monthly monitoring feesI contacted Defenders ADT customer service center in Indianapolis, Indiana and spoke with a guy named TonyTony told me it could take several weeks for their accounting department to credit bac

This company is scamming people and several representatives at ADT agreed that they have an issue with this companyI had a $coupon for a basic alarm installation at my homeThe technician came, spent several hours installing it, then said that will be $I disagreed and he said well I can rip everything out that I've drilled into your wallsBasically bullied me into signingIt was a terrible experience and I've called ADT several timesVarious reps at ADT have said that Defender is unfortunately an installer of the ADT product and a separate companyBut from each rep I spoke to, I received "wow that is a crazy price for the basic items you received, you were taken advantage of I'm so sorry" and another "we've been having issues with Defender overcharging our customers and it's being looked at", etcI didn't realize they were a different company until I cancelled ADT and started making phone calls

I signed up for a security package advertised on line through ADT Defender siteThis included over $in free equipment a touchscreen monitor, key fobs, fire, smoke & carbon Monoxide monitoringWhen the installer arrived he di not have any of the equipment that was advertised and informed me that I ad to call ADT corporate to get that stuff installedI called their customer service and spoke with the manager who informed me that that should have been included and asked to speak to the installerThe installer was on the other line with his boss and refused to speak the manager I was on the line withThe manager said it should be the touch screen so just tell that to his manager when he asks to speak to you His manager never spoke with me and the installer left after the callThe installer said this happens all the time that we are ent out with the incorrect equipment and they in turn have to deal with the upset home ownersI reached out to the customer service team a

Deceptive website makes it seem like ADT Service was terrible and alarm installed never functioned They were very unresponsive about correcting problem and refused to let me out of the contract until I brought the charges into dispute with AMEX They threatened to charge me for 75% of the entire contract if I wished to cancel They ultimately relented via escalation at their call center Don't be fooled Sites that look like ADT are not Beware Defenders Security and Protect Your Home

My husband and I signed a year contracted with Defenders for home security on 1/27/We were told that we can can cancel the contract within days and/or receive full equipment refund within days
I believe we called on 2/to request a cancellation of the contract that would include the full equipment refundAfter several hours, and phone callswe negotiated to cancel the contract for a $fee and a full equipment refund $ (instead of 75% of contract term fees)
When we called back a couple of days later to finalize the cancellation and refund, the representative proceeded with the cancellation, while on the phone we inquired about the equipment refundThe Defenders rep stated that since the cancellation had been processed (few minutes ago on the phone) then a refund would no longer be given since we were no longer contracted with DefendersThey let us know that they might be able to retrieve the request to cancel the contract, but would have to call us back

Sales representative,technician,and manger went above more to help meWith what I needed to make me feel safe and secure

On June 7th ADT sent a Defender's technician to home to install my new security systemThe technician said he needed to enter my daughter's bedroom to disconnect the old system firstHe stated this would effect certain areas of home but that he would reconnect before he left
He never reconnected the wires and now the electrical box in my daughter's room is wide open with wires all over the placeI am certainly not going to touch these exposed wires in fear of electrocutionSince he did not reattach the wires as promised certain electrical issues have taken place in my home...1)The system in my bedroom room is dead...No lights, no power and no time display but the main issue is my garage door button no longer worksI cannot open my garage door, I cannot close my garage door as the button is now deadI noticed the garage door button was dead within an hour of him leaving (Please note it worked fine when I left that morning), I called the company and told them my garage door

In June 2018, I signed up for security service with ADT and Defender Incwas identified as their authorized user in my area The contract was effective on June 1, I canceled the service on June 5, within the Right of rescission period In August 2018, I received an bill from ADT stating I owed them months of service After several phone calls with ADT/Defender it was realized that the service was cancelled in accordance with the terms of the contract We scheduled twice for a technician to come out and remove the security system and both times resulted in a no show by Defender Inc Meanwhile, ADT sends me another notice on September stating that I still owe them money for the alarm service I immediately called ADT and they told me until they get the notice from Defender that the contract is canceled, they will continue to bill me Defender has not kept any appointments to get their equipment out of my home and refuses to cancel my contract until they get it

On October 28, 2017, this company installed a home security system in my homeThe gentleman that installed the service was Sanford W***After completing the initial install, MrW*** gave a presentation about the extra products that the company offered, but when he gave the price, it was more than I was willing to payHe got on his phone and called someone working with the company, and he told me that if I would agree to buy the upsold product, I wouldn't have to pay the full amount (approximately $1227), just the initial payment of about $ MrW*** told me to call back in one week and cancel the service, and the company would waive the remainder of the upsold amount because they would not want me to cancel my serviceMrW*** even offered to call me in a week to remind meMrW*** told me that I had to wait a week
Like I was instructed, a week later I contacted the company but was told that I only had days to cancel and I was contractually bound to the agreem

Installer came to house to install new security system Asked if I would like additional sensors on at risk windows to which I agreed Stated the additional cost would be ~$ Was billed for on 8/and then again on 9/for same amount Called customer service and was told that the additional equipment and the upgraded sensors (which were not discussed at installation) was actually ~$and that the installer had set me up on a payment flex plan I also never received emailed contract to review so was unable to return equipment per customer service rep because I was outside of day window for returns Without the contract I was also unable to submit for the advertised $rebate card

Upon checking my credit I found out that ADT Defender has billed me 1613$ without my knowledge, the worst is I still have an open account with them
I spoke to a rude customer service representative from ADT Defender by the name of Vernon with the ID#on 1/3/He had the audacity to tell me that I was under a contract with them for two years and which I had no knowledge of because they bill me every month for the current service that I have with themTo my understanding I thought my account was in good standing since they withdraw the money every month from my accountWhen I asked to speak to a manager, he told me that there is no manager available, and that the manager will tell me the same thingI would like like to get this matter resolved

Unless you are ok being overcharged, lied to about free equipment, insulted, told that if you want a security system that is effective you need to spend more money and just straight lied to about everything else I would look else where for a security system
If I would have realized that this company is ok with shady business practices I would have used someone else

DO NOT USE PROTECT YOUR HOME OR DEFNDER- the other name they use.!!!! There have been complaints/ negative reviews with Revdex.com SINCE MARCH from multiple states CAll the attorney general's office in your area and MrSEssions in Washington, D.C They are deceptive, use advertising to then illegally " bait and switcht" to ridiculous priced equipment and monitoring price- all the while telling you this is what you need and why they can't use your existing systems; even though I was told they could during my initial call to ADT These are not mistakes- this is the business model this company is usingShame on ADT of allowing the to use their name to mislead and use high pressure in home sales tactics to take advantage of people And after thy start drilling holes in your walls it's hard to say stop And then when you try to cancel- they don't have your appointment to remove th equipment And no one will call you back Convenient Write down every conversation, date time, employee IID and how long you waited to get help or a call back I see a class action suite in the future against this company

I contracted with protect your home without my knowledge while thinking I was contracting with ADT At no time during the presentation was I told that I was contracting with protect your home protect your home sold the collection process to ADT, I missed payments to ADT and protect your home turned over the account to a collection agency, in the meantime I had payed ADT Protect your home refused to re-instate the account and ADT refunded my payments If I had known that I was not contracting with ADT direct I would not have signed the contract Protect your home misrepresentaved themselves by not disclosing their true identy and placed a ADT sign on my lawn At no time was I told that they were not ADT I was told by a ADT by a ADT representative that their policy was not to turn over accounts to collection agencies when accounts had been paid and would reinstate contracts
