This company will not honor my cancellation request and continues to bill me

I had ADT security install a system and it was subcontracted with Defendersi tried to transfer the service to another apartment, after months and was told Defenders does not do rentals and a deed was neededAfter making several calls and speaking with several different people, I was informed to submit proof of residencyI submitted info regarding the new address via email and was told they needed a deedDefenders withdrew money from my account times for installation and the shell department cancelled itStating they will not install and I have to wait a certain period of timeI am beyond frustrated when I was trying to be compliantI was informed with each install for each relocation will be a new contract for more yearsI have received an early termination letter saying I owe them when they would not provide serviceI request to be released from this contract without obligation due to their neglect of customer service and their different departments lack of communicat

I purchased a Home Security System from ADT in October My year contract shows a recurring monthly monitoring payment of $48.99, but I was continually badgered by Defenders to sign a new contract for monthly payments of $for additional monitoring charges that I refused to pay and told them that I would sue them for breach of contract if they didn't continue service as written in the contract We were awakened on 8/10/at 5:00am to beeping sounds from the alarm system which shows "Trouble" and "AC Power" lights on the keypadWe called ADT and were informed that our service was cancelled; we told them that we never cancelled our service and we were told to contact Defenders We called Defenders and were told that our service was cancelled on 8/8/for non-payment and was sent to *** *** for collection Through numerous calls to both Defenders and the collectors, I agreed to sign a new contract with Defenders and pay the $monthly fee for the duratio

This company is the WORST to deal withI have complained to ADT corporate about them but they don't seem to careWhen their installer arrived here he insisted that he establish a connection via WIFI even though I told him I had a land line Later I found out that this type of connection was more money for the monthly service I had to argue forever to get him to install it via my land lineThe entire time he was here he kept trying to get me to spend more money, I had to argue for hours just to get a system installed that was affordable I felt like the whole thing was a bait and switch attempt and since then trying to get all the resulting issues resolved has been a nightmareThis company is really dishonest and if you want to use ADT then I suggest you find a different dealer if you can or use another company all together I can't wait for my years to be up to be done with them

I was in need of a home security system Defenders Direct (Protect Your Home), came to the house and installed a great system Very easy to use! Had a bit of a problem after, I called customer service They went above and beyond taking care of the problem! I definitely would recommend this company! Especially their customer service department!

To recap my experience:
Defenders provider (Nicholas B***) took hours and could never get alarm to work
Forged my signature on documents (I have them, he just squiggled a line where I was supposed to sign) and told me to "push this button" on ipad to allow him to come back the next dayHe also took all my old alarm equipment with him leaving me with broken system
Never heard from Nicholas again, I cancelled contract immediatelySpent months trying to get money back (they billed me more than they said they would)This took months and calls, I eventually was refunded my money
I returned the ADT equipment, they never returned mineIt cost me $to get my old system running again (I went with *** ***, which is local and responsive)They took equipment that was no longer the same size (window sensors), resulting in me having to get new equipment to sense a break in (crash sen

I have had several issues with with the ADT system and I am being bounced between ADT corporate and ADT Authorized Dealer
I am extremely disatisfied with the services and lack of a working solution

On 12/3/a tech came to my home to install an ADT security system The tech came unprepared for the install with an incomplete work order missing items that I had discussed with the agent when purchasing my system Our install was to include a full automation system including a front door lock, doorbell camera, indoor camera and the ability to monitor from our cell phones The tech made several calls to the office to figure out why these items were missing I at that time told them just to cancel the install and I would go with another company After they attempted to discount my price to have me stay I agreed to stay However the tech still did not know how to install the doorbell camera Our front door handle and hardware is all satin nickel the tech told my wife he only had gold or a bronze door lock and no other options So she chose the bronze given no other option as you could imagine this did not look presentable on my front door The tech also did not ask or cons

The technician was very professional and knowledgeableHe helped me decide what I needed according to my issuesI'm very happy with all the new features to make things easier for me and my protection

adt security system install a security system in my home and now they have not given me a date as to when my payment is due for the equpiment that was install and I call on friday and was told that my payment was due on the 18th of every month the day it was install and adt has went in to my checking account and withdrew from my account and now I want the service canacled

We Wanted an Alarm System in our home Because I am out of town at work quite a bit and my wife and daughter are home alone and we live in a secluded wooded areaWe called ADT because of advertisements and a card we received in the mail Once the appointment time came the salesman who also installs came to our home and met with us He did his best to convince my wife that a Landline system is easy to get around by a criminal and cellular was the only way to go My wife and I both explained that cell service at our home is rare and we have to use an AT&T micro cell booster thru the internet to have any real cell service HE WAS ADIMENT that he had ONE bar of service on his phone and that the system is much more powerful than a phone and it would be no problem at all My wife must have told him times but he was totally sure it would work just fine it did for a couple days and as the leaves started popping out on the trees, we live in a wooded area, it stopped communicating

On July 13th, I recieved a sales call Defenders Protect Your Home a premeir ADT service providerTo recieve the services they provided I had to authorize a credit checkI was very reluctant to allow a credit for home security services but decided to do it when the sales supervisor offered me a lower price and additional equipment for signing up that dayI was offered ADT home security services with window monitors, front and back door monitors, motion detectors, smoke detector and camera for and installation fee of $plus tax and $monitoring per month at the end of the sales callThe only requirment to recieve these services was an active phone line (which I do have)On 7/17/a technician came to my home to complete the installationAbout an hour into the installation after asking the technician about other equipment, I was informed by the technican that my monthly fee would be $per month instead of the quoted $I asked the technican to pause her i

The technician, Alex E*** (ID 6722252), was the best technician imaginable! We had been robbed earlier in the day, and Alex helped walk us through a system that would be both secure and affordable for our family Beyond that he was extremely courteous, meticulous in installing the equipment, and he stayed until nearly pm to complete the installation It was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend him as a phenomenal representative of ADT

The following complaint involves billing, customer services and refund issues:
In April of 2017, I purchased an alarm system to ADT Defenders ( Protect your home), was the authorized ADT’s dealer that sold me the alarm system
The package I chose had a price of USD monthlyAs a consequence, I authorized the automatic debit from my credit card
With surprise, I realized that ADT was charging USD to my credit card, so I decided to call ADT to understand the reason of that difference
After speaking with ADT and Defenders, the answer was that a Pulse alarm was installed in my home That particular alarm system, represents a monthly charge of USD
Given that I never asked for that alarm system, I asked ADT to remove it and to replace it with the alarm package I really purchased
In addition, I asked ADT/ Defenders to reimburse the dollars wrongly charged to my credit card every month

I had services with ADT starting last yearI thought they were automatically drafting payments and apparently, they were notIn January, I was contacted and told my services had been terminatedI was then contacted by someone in the collections department named VanessaI explained that I was unable to pay the large sum requested and was told I could have a $settlementI informed her that I needed to speak with my husband about it and subsequently did soI wrote a letter to Amanda H***, who is listed as the Manager of Customer Care on this site and accepted the settlement and asked that I be corresponded with via mail (2/22)I received no follow up from the companyThis morning, I called in and spoke with an agent named Tony who told me that they had no letter and no one could help me because they sent the account to collectionsI told him this was unacceptable behavior to not respond to me about the account that I mailed something to them aboutTony got snippy with m

We had contacted what we thought was ADT, and ended up with DEFENDERS, Inc., they showed up and sold us over dollars worth of sensors they knew we didn't needAfter months, the sensors started not working or going off as they shouldWe called ADT, had actual ADT (not DEFENDERS, Inc.) service techs come out and tell us our equipment was bad and outdated and didn't workWe called DEFENDERS, Inc., and after multiple other service tech visits that were required, we were told we could cancel our plan without the termination feeWe just recently got a bill for an Early Termination Fee in the mail for $stating we were in breach of contractWhen I called to fight this, the accounting representative refused to *** me on to anyone who could help me and refused to listen to why I was cancelling

I became dissatisfied with the aforementioned business and when I called today to cancel the contract (which indicated I had BUSINESS days from the time of installment) they said that they operate everyday so that Saturday and Sunday are considered business daysNo where in the contract does it state that Saturday and Sunday are considered business daysThe system was installed on Friday (August 24), we had issues starting Saturday (August 25)I called Sunday morning and got a recording that they are closed and will reopen Monday I called on August 28th and it took hours for someone to call me back on the 29th I don't feel comfortable using this company Especially being a company that is supposed to be monitoring my home for security purposes

This is more information about Case number ***I've been given so much conflicting information that Protect Your Home needs to be recognized for it's fraudulent practicesI purchased a home security system through what I thought was ADTIt was never communicated to me or pointed out to me in the contract that Protect Your Home was a second party managing the contract, and that only ADT was in charge of the installation - only I was never told nor was it pointed out in the contract what the cancellation stipulations wereI thought what I was told from ADT was exactly what I was getting, from ADT - "I can cancel anytime", which through ADT I can cancel with them anytimeHowever, it was never made mention to me that Protect Your Home managed the contract and would collect if I were to break the contractThis is a complete deception transaction and Protect Your Home needs to be held accountable

My alarm system was working until one day it just stoppedI was no longer receiving a signalA had five service appointment scheduled, three of which a techs came out and couldn't find a signal no matter what they didTwo of the service appointments I was called during the arrival time to reschedule, one to order an additional part and the second time I requested a manager come and he called to say he wouldn't be of any additional help as he sent out his best tech, also he called during the service arrival timeI took off an entire day of work for all but one of the scheduled appointmentsIn the meantime the alarm was malfunctioning and beeping at all hours of the night periodically, and called ADT saying a burglar alarm was going off, but it wasntAll while it didnt have a signal nor was it supposed to be working at all, and the alarm never went off in the house as someone was at homeThe police were dispatched one time while my daughter was home and in the bathroom, she comes out to find two police officers walking through our houseAfter the final attempt to get a signal, after the system worked for two years and stoppedI was finally told I could be let out of the contract by a manager who was rude, and acted as if he was doing me a favor by saying I could be let out of the "contract without penalty", why would I be penalized for getting out of a contract where the system doesnt work? He told me I could have the system hooked up to my landlineI didnt get the system to hook it to my landline, as I wanted the Pulse option, which would allow for me to utilize the indoor camera as well as unlock the exterior door from my cell phoneI wouldnt have those option with the landlineI asked for a refund on the accessories I purchased, he wouldnt give me a refund or even a partial refund of any sort, and asked would I return a pair of shoes I had worn for two years if something happened to them? Now I am stuck with equipment I cant useEach time I called in to customer service during this month long process, customer service was attentive and helpful, but once I had to communicate with management it was horrificI will never purchase another system where it is managed by DefendersI purchased the system thinking all aspects would be handled by ADT not DefendersIf ADT only knew how bad Defenders is making them look, they would part ways with themStay away from Defenders they are horrible!
