hotel and browse pricesI was in a hurry and just wanted to lookNext thing I
know, they say I purchased a non-refundable hotel stayWhat the hell is this?
I never even went to the destination, so there was no way for me to stay in the
hotelI used the customer service contact form from the website, but never
received a responseSo now it seems as though I got charged for a room, that I
never intended on staying inI am sick and tired of getting ripped off, when
trying to get a deal, it makes no sense! These businesses are ruining the
travel industry.”

I am rejecting this response because:I understand that flights can change at a moment notice My problem was that I was not properly notified that there was a changed The emails with change notifications that was auto generated was sent from *** This email was never opened because I did not know this email address nor did I know it was affiliated with priceline.com The first time I had open this email was when I was on the phone with representative from priceline hours before my original departure telling me to look for the date the email was sentBecause of their failure to properly notify me, I had only options:
1) re-book that flight though priceline.com as suggested by your representative
2) re-book that flight through *** Airlines
3) book a hotel for the night with with taxis expenses and with the next day

I know that I did not enter the price of $ That price was no where in my thought process, so I have no idea where it would have come from...it's not even close to being a typo from the bid I was planning to make, it's not part of my address, phone number, or any other information I would have been entering Additionally, as I mentioned in my initial response, it makes no sense that I would have placed a bid for an amount that was more then I could have booked the same room for through the Express Deal tool....see my attachment I accept that I obviously did not review the information carefully enough as it is very difficult to do on a small cell phone screen As I already explained, I have used the Name Your Own Price tool, numerous times, and thought it was just the same jargon that I typically seeI have spent more then half of my career as a Customer Service Manager Not a single company I have worked with has such a policy as to have no flexibility related to fixing such an issue, whether said issue was cause by the customer or within the company

On Aug31, I searched for a star hotel in Barcelona using PricelineAfter looking at what is available I choose to do name your own priceI bid $75, $and $ but were all declinedAfter changing it to $101, my offer was accepted to Gotico hotelBefore using the name your own price option, I searched the star hotel list that Priceline hasGotico hotel was not on the star listAfter having the offer accepted, I clicked on the link for the hotel and it showed that it sells for $a night and on a second search it showed $a night both on Priceline That was also the case on other websites(I have screenshots as proof for these noted prices)
I choose star rating knowing that criteria for such high rating would include things like:
usually offer a fine-dining restaurant, lounge, and room service with extended hoursService features usually include baggage assistance, concierge service, and valet parkingA conference center with up-to-date technology and full business services are usually offeredPublic spaces and guestrooms are thoughtfully designed and constructed with high-quality materialsGuestrooms generally offer stylish furnishings, high-quality bedding and bath products, and a wide array of amenities- Reference
