We purchased a contract from Assurance Solutions Services, fka Processing Concepts, LLC (dealer) on December 9, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education (DOE) to refinance or consolidate student loans.? The
customer and dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer offered a service of helping to navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? ? The customer has been paying on this account since the first payment was due February 15, 2016.? While the customer could have completed this process on their own, they hired the dealer to do the work for them.? If there is an issue with the student loans themselves, the customer needs to contact the dealer who can help walk them through it.? We do not have any involvement with the student loans, only the financing of the fee the dealer charged.? We look forward to having the customer complete her legal obligation to us so we do not have to report negatively on her credit bureau.? ? We will not be cancelling this account as the customer is requesting

We purchased a contract from *** ***, aka *** *** Team, LLC (dealer) on July 18, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt.? The customer and
dealer entered into a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? Part of the service was consolidated initially is to work with the re-certification that needs to be completed each year to keep in the program.? The customer has been paying us on a regular basis since inception.? If the customer has an issue with the student loans, they must contact the dealer to resolve.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

We purchased a contract from *** *** *** (dealer) on October 26, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a
written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracy.? The program the dealer put the customer into was the Income Driven Repayment Plan which had an estimated new monthly payment of $based on income and amount of loans outstanding.? This is a substantial savings over what the payment would have been without the help of the dealer's help in selecting the best program available for the customer.? Included in the charge from the dealer is their services for two additional reenrollments and monitoring.? We also have a recorded verification call done with the customer which explained the transaction and Equitable Acceptance's role.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

? I am rejecting this response because: Equitable Acceptance? never refinanced through my loans from my previous provider, and no other arrangements were made to have me set up with a new oneEquitable Acceptance has continued to charge me each month for their "services;" while my loans through Fed Services went into defaultI called Fed Services and they knew nothing, nor had they ever been contacted by Equitable Acceptance; yet, they graciously helped me get my loans out of default and back into repayment, which is why I am choosing to stay with this company at this timeEquitable Acceptance promised during our phone correspondence that their payment would be one of two payments coming from my account; that within a month to a month and a half of my first payment to them, they would have my loans refinanced and I would be getting a bill for approximately? $per month and that payment would go toward my loan balanceEvery time I tried to call Equitable Acceptance, I ended up being put into my "Account Rep's" voicemail and was not called back until in November when I made a big deal of the situation and informed the individual on the phone that I wished to cancel my account and would no longer be making payments to themI feel they have neglected to live up to their end of the deal, and I do not feel I have received any services helping my situation; however, I have consistently paid them $each month since JulyUpon again letting the company know via email that I wished to cancel my account, they sent me the attached email telling me that my account had been canceled, yet now they claim to look forward to letting me "fulfill my obligation to them." I do not feel it is my obligation to fulfill anything to them, as they have not provided me the services promised on their end; and furthermore, since no services were ever provided to me, I would like to request back all payments made to Equitable Acceptance to date, $212.10.? ?

a written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly stated the dealer offered a service to help navigate the student loan debt relief bureaucracyWe also have a recorded verification call done with the customer prior to purchasing the contract.? Part of the service the dealer offered was to re-apply with the DOE to get back into a program that is best for the customer's situationAny concerns regarding the student loans or what the dealer has done for the customer need to be addressed with the dealer.? The customer service number for the dealer is ###-###-####.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

? I am rejecting this response because:
I was initially told they would provide additional services such as loan recertification and that their monthly fees for me would be $Instead the fees have increased to $and no one from their business or customer service refuses to tell me why the increase occurred

We purchased a contract from *** *** *** (dealer) for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to consolidate or refinance student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a written agreement,
which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy on behalf of the customer.? The customer also acknowledged the transaction via a recorded verification call.? ? Equitable Acceptance has not withdrawn any money from the customer to pay on this account, in fact, the first payment is not due until December 5, for $49.00.? The $withdrawn the customer is referring to is for the down payment on the contract that was paid to the dealer.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us.? By making her payments to Equitable Acceptance on a timely manner, this will help the customer's credit file

We purchased a contract on June 1, from *** *** *** *** (dealer) for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a
written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student debt relief bureaucracyThe dealer worked with the DOE and customer to determine which program worked best for the customer.? If the dealer did not fulfill their obligation, the customer needs to work with them to resolve, they have informed us that the original consolidation was completed.? We will reach out to the dealer on the customer's behalf to see if we can get them to call the customer to resolve this complaint

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/16) */
On August 28, the customer called to get a payoff quote for the accountWe gave a payoff amount for September 4, We also gave the amount of the payoff if not paid before that date, which was good until September 25, and
included additional interest The payment was not received in our office until September 8, When we gave the payoff amount to the customer, we offered to do a phone check at no additional cost to make sure the payoff would be processed by September but the customer refused to do the check processing over the phoneAdditional interest was added to the account on September 5, Additional interest was also added on October 5, and November since there is a small balance remainingWe cannot waive the interest owed since the customer was aware of the additional interest being added if not paid by September as quoted
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/11/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I believe that a payment being delayed by a few days in the mail should not constitute that much in interest fees considering the amount of the paymentThey also failed to mention the reason why I refused to make a payment over the phoneI did not have the funds available on that day to make the paymentI was calling to get a payoff
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/11/19) */
We are not responsible for the payments sent to us in the mailThe payment needed to be in our office by September 4th to payoff in full We received the payment on September 8thIf the customer had paid on our website, or over the phone with customer service before the 4th, this would be paid in fullWe either need to get the balance owing, or we will have to close the account to bad debt for refusal to payWe would be willing to accept $which was the balance owing after the payment was received on September

? I am rejecting this response because: I feel like I was misinformed and taken advantage of throughout this entire processI entered into an agreement with Equitable AcceptanceI didn't know anything about *** *** until December after I paid almost $on student loans that I felt confident were being handled appropriatelyIf I need to file a complaint against *** *** I will because the facts still remain the sameI feel as though my student loans were grossly mismanagedI don't recall any communication with any representative from *** *** until the day I realized something was wrong with my student loansThat's when I received a email stating I needed to sign a contract which I refused because I had to start repaying by student loans back through the former agencyI'm still requesting the contract I had with Equitable Acceptance voidedI wasn't informed that I entered into an agreement with *** ***I'm requesting my account closed and any negative reporting to the credit bureau be deletedThank you

The customer needs to work with the dealer, *** *** ***, to resolve this matter.? We do not cancel accounts which are past the three day cancellation period without the dealer authorization and proof of cancellation.? Please contact Chris *** at ###-###-#### to resolve this issue

We purchased a contract from *** *** *** (dealer) on July 21, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee the dealer charged to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a
written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to help navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? The dealer can offer the best program to help the customer with their student loan debt.? We have a recorded verification call done with the customer which explained who Equitable Acceptance is and what our role is in this transaction.? Any issues with the student loans must be address with the dealerAs of today, we have no documentation that the customer has contacted our office regarding her account with us.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

? I am rejecting this response because:
This is clearly wrongWhile they did pursue and obtain permission from me, it was in deceitful waysThey clearly were in disguise as my service provider and the loan they are asking for me to pay does not existI consolidated my loans through FedLoan Services and they are still with them as we speakNothing has changedWhat they are doing is against the law or should be and I am Not paying them.? I have already requested my bank not release any more money to this companyIf they want to not be charged or sued, I would suggest they cease and desist immediately they will also need to return any money taken to me immediately.? ***

We purchased a contract from *** *** *** (dealer) on May 25, for the customer to finance the documentation preparation fee charged by the dealer to work with the Department of Education to refinance or consolidate student loan debt.? The customer and dealer entered into a
written agreement, which Equitable Acceptance was not involved and clearly states the dealer was offering a service to navigate the student loan relief bureaucracy.? The customer did not contract Equitable Acceptance to begin the process.? The dealer gathers information from the customer to determine which program will work in the best interest of the customer.? The money paid to us was applied to the account for the fee, not to the student loans.? Prior to purchasing the contract we completed a verification call which explained the procedure.? The customer called our office with questions regarding this account on December 19, 2017, and the representative attempted to explain this information but the customer ended the call before completing the explanation.? We will not be cancelling this account at this time.? We look forward to having the customer fulfilling her obligation to us

We purchased a contract from *** *** *** (dealer)? on April 10, on behalf of the customer.? The loan is for a service the dealer did for the customer to refinance their outstanding student loans.? The payment repayment began on June 25, 2015.? The account was set
up to have payments electronically paid from the customer's checking account.? The last payment, due April 25, 2016, was returned to us as a NSF payment.? When we attemped to collect the payment from the customer she told us she has spoken to the Federal Loan people and said the loans are not taken care of by the dealer as of yet.? She needs to take that part of the complaint up with the dealer.? As for the loan with us, we will expect her to fulfill her obligation to us by bringing the account current and continuing to make payments per the terms of the documents she signed

? I am rejecting this response because:They are liars they told me this was a loan forgiveness program!! I would not and could not afford to give them money to buy a contract I was trying to get help with my loans the only reason I agreed to the program!

We purchased a contract from Progress Advocates, LLC (dealer) on July 31, for the fee the dealer charges the customer to consolidate the customer's student loans.? We do not do anything with the consolidation of the loans, that process is completed by the dealer and the student loan
company holding the loans.? The customer did sign the contract, and the purchase was verified prior to funding.? The representative at FedLoan.org is incorrect in telling the customer they are being "scammed".? The FedLoan.org representative is saying this because they are losing business, not because it is illegal.? If the customer wanted to do the process on their own they could have, but they chose to have the dealer do the paperwork for them.? We look forward to having the customer fulfill their? obligation to us.? ? ? ? ?

? I am rejecting this response because: As of today this company has not credited my account as they stated
