I have had two problems with State Farm recently State Farm demanded an extra month of insurance be paid if I did not want to do auto-pay I don't see why I should have to pay one month in advance I am a disabled person and this causes problems with my monthly budget 5/24/17- State Farm roadside assistance towed my car to Meineke in Indianapolis When I left my vehicle it had a wheel cover on it When the car was received my Meineke they reported that the vehicle did not have a wheel cover on it This means that State Farm lost my wheel cover

After paying thirty years into State Farm I recently had to use my insurance do to a minor fender benderI get no help from anyone working with State Farm and the adjuster has nickeled and dimed me so bad that my car can not possibly be restored to the way it was with what he has decided to payReputable mechanics are called lairs and I must accept third party / third world parts to repair my vehicleGuess they have to many customers but I can assure you they are about to have one less

I signed up with State Farm in August of and my total premium was to be $per month for auto and renters insuranceDuring this time I have not had any accidents or filed any claims and State Farm keeps increasing my monthly payment with out any notification of changes I went from $in Aug to $in Feb That is almost a $per month difference than when I originally signed with State Farm There has never been any notification in letter or email stating that my monthly premiums were going to rise! Never has there been any communication to explain why my monthly premium increases when I have had no accidents or claims! This should be illegal for any business to change their mind on how much a customer pays per month when I sign a contract

I've had mixed experiences with State Farm, some good, some badI see people complaining about them raising our rates, and they do do thatI'm not sure if they have valid reasons for charging moreUsually when I call about the increases, they claim that it is because more accidents are occurring in my districtI don't really believe this explanationThere have been times State Farm has been quite good in covering my misfortunates, but there are two experiences that left me either less than satisfied or very unsatisfiedThe first one I want to warn people about is when an accident includes other State Farm insureesI was once rear ended by a women who had State Farm insurance, and the person who caused the accident was in front of me stopped in the left hand lane trying to make a left hand turn, but in reality, she should have been in the turn laneI didn't think anything about her being in the wrong laneI saw her and came to a stop behind her waiting for her to turnThe woman who hit my car was obviously not paying attention, and may have been on compromising medication because she had just recently had an operation and was on her way to see her doctorShe slammed so hard into my beautiful car that it crunched up around me like an accordion and spun my car into the turn laneI reported the accident to State Farm as I was supposed to do, and I got a lawyer, but he was not able to collect from the woman who hit me because of my reporting to State Farm about the accidentWe were able to collect from the person in front of me, but we should have been able to collect from both partiesState Farm representatives all acted so nicey-nice to me during all this, but it turned out it was only because they were trying to keep me from suing them for the derelict driver with State Farm who hit meIf you are in an accident with someone who has the same insurance as you, you might want to go to a lawyer firstThe second incident is another one that angers me, and actually may anger me even more than the first because I got blamed for an accident I did not causeNothing was reported right about this accident from the get-goI was at an unbusy intersection in broad daylight when the light changed to green; the vehicle on the other side of the intersection just sat thereThat driver was obviously distractedI don't know what he was doing, but it wasn't paying attention to his drivingI waited a couple of minutes before trying to make my left hand turn because that guy just sat thereI was not comfortable with this situation, so I proceeded cautiously out into the intersection, keeping a close eye on it, when a SUV came speeding into the intersection and slammed into my passenger side doorI know that vehicle was speeding because I was watching that area of the intersection and because I didn't even have time to put more pressure on the gas pedal to try and speed my vehicle upMy car got completely spun around, and I was taken into an ambulance to see if I might have a concussion or some serious injuryWhile in the ambulance, the policeman who came to investigate, was outside listening to the "so called" eyewitness and to the other driverWhen I got free from the ambulance, I finally got to tell my side of what happenedHe listened to me for only about two minutesI told my State Farm agent exactly what happened and even wrote up a report for them about itWhen I got my police report, nothing was correct on it, not the spot in the intersection where my car was hit, nor the information from the bystander nor from the man who hit meNot one thing I said about the man speeding into the intersection (he was probably trying to get though it because the light was changing by that time) nor about the other vehicle sitting there was mentionedI felt like I was being railroaded, and I didn't find out from State Farm until six months later that the witness was the distracted driver I had been complaining about all alongHe had stated to the police that I had obstructed his right of wayIf I knew this earlier, I would have gone to a lawyerWhen I complained to State Farm for not telling me this information (they changed claims agents on this accident midway through), the response I got was why would he have said what he said, and I responded by stating "So he wouldn't get blamed for causing the accident." I think if I hadn't been so depressed over this whole incident, I would have suedIn order to get an accurate police statement, I would have had to track down the police officer and get him to correct itSince he didn't seem to care about getting the information right from the very beginning (how could he not even put our vehicles in the right position? They were sitting right there in front of himHe moved the accident to the middle of the intersection when my car had almost completely made it out of itI'm thinking the officer changed the location on the advice of the distracted driver who was wanting to cover for himself by that time)That officer didn't listen to anything I had to say and took for granted that the two men he interviewed before me were telling the truthThey were both lying, and State Farm did nothing to try to clear any of this up or to tell me who the eyewitness was in spite of my protests, both written and verbal, about what these two offending and dangerous drivers had doneTo rub salt in my wounds, my rates went up for two yearsState Farm did a lousy job in handling this case and cost me money in the process

My daughter was driving my car, stopped in stop-atraffic on a busy freeway, when a distracted driver (insured by State Farm) slammed into the back of my vehicle at a high rate of speedThe collision traumatized all passengers and badly damaged the rear of the car, while clearly compromising the structural integrity of the bumper and the supporting pieces that hold it in placeState Farm rejected the repair estimate we submitted, and agreed only to cosmetic "buff and toupaint" repairs, not addressing ANY structural issues (the bumper is visibly out of alignment and partially detached from the vehicle)To add salt to the wound, State Farm will not provide a rental car for my daughter, who is attending college out of state, because she is not the registered owner of the vehicleWe are not asking for anything other than to bring the vehicle to the condition it was in before this accident and provide a rental car during the repair time so that we don't incur additional expenses for an event that was clearly the other driver's faultI have spent much too much time and energy dealing with something that should be a minimum level of customer serviceI'd give negative stars to State Farm if possible!

On June 23rd I opened an auto insurance policy with State Farm for a Honda Accord CoupeI was informed that it would be $I then called in and added on my sister, and was informed that her portion would be $155, but they made me put down $A day later I realized that I only had to put down Just the first month for first car, but two months for second carI called agency and they told me that every thing was correctI called company's customer service and they informed me that agent that set it up had did it incorrectly, but assured me that I would receive credit on my next month's bill They them called and informed me that after getting information from DMV, my sister's portion was $moreSo I knew I would only have a $creditThey also told me that this Was before multi-car discount Agency called and said for the next months for bill will be $in which I paid for JulyPromised credit was never applied, so I had to keep going back with agency and custome

I was in a car accident over two weeks agoMy husband and I were injuredThe man who hit us had State Farm insurance and we have had to go through themIt has been a terrible experience To this day (two weeks later) we have not talked to someone in the injury department regarding our injuriesWe were "assigned" as case workerShe had called us each ONCEWe have called back and left several messages with still NO response This company is liable for mine and my husbands injuries and they do not think it is necessary to speak to us or even get a statement from us As of right now, they have no idea what is even wrong with us This is HORRIBLE

There is an active claim on my SUV that I did not file.I have called several times about this an no one ever follows up or returns my callsThe rate on the car increased in February I sent my agent an email on 2/13/18, called the office on 3/1/and the 1-number on 2/18/and I still don’t have an explanationI moved in January I sent an email on 1/16/and again on 6/23/but whenever I call State Farm still has the incorrect address in the systemI sent this complaint to the Revdex.com first because the state Insurance Commissioner office takes a while to process, but will forward if remain unresolved

I was mistakenly issued car insurance in my name that I did not want, and did not give consent forI don't own the car in question and was told that they had mistaken names and issue the policy to me by mistakeI have renters insurance through the same company and they used my information to issue me a car insurance policy that wasn't mineAfter this initial incident I have been receiving mail over several months now about this policyEach time I call and am told this will be resolved, but I continue to received concerning mail about "my" policy and it's clear this issue is not resolved

The worst experience ever !!!!! I have been involved in ATTEMPTING to file a multiple home robbery claim with State Farm, that took place in Albuquerque at my brothers homeAs an antique dealer for almost years, his valued collect of art was stolen, not once, but twice, leaving him completely wiped outWe have clear evidence including still and video filming by neighbors who watchedAfter working tirelessly for over months, I have gotten nowhereFiles, photos and receipts have all been emailed and faxed to State Farm, where only an AUTO REPLY has been recievedI've been passed to different claim handlers, none of which have ever followed up with me or any of the witnesses or policeI have tried to contact the Supervisor and only got voicemailNever got a returned call and it's been months ! Run don't walk from this company

I was hit by a van that is insured by State Farm, I submit a claim to have my car fixed and my claim was put into a Claim specialist Que who wasn't even in the officeMiss Rondha G [redacted] hasn't been in the office for daysWhen I finally got in contacted with her today 5/24/to follow up with my claim, she was very condescending and abrasiveShe was like we not going to pay for your car to be fixed, they haven't gotten in contact with the individual that they insuredI need to take it up with my insuranceMy claim might be fraud, they have the police report, the individual that hit me left the scene before the police came to complete the incident reportSuggesting that someone has filed a fraudulent claim is not what Miss G [redacted] should be doing. Then they need to send someone out to look at where the accident happen and also send someone to the individual they insureAs a non customer of State Farm I was insulted that a claim specialist Miss Rondha G [redacted] would even utter the words that I have submitted a fraudulent claimShe needs to be retrained in how to deal with customers

John Mitchell and I were issued a refund check from State Farm (Lane Stermer) was our agent John and I shared a homeThe check was issued May 15, John Mitchell was issued the check and refuses to tell me if he cashed it (forged my signature) I have been calling Lane to get an answer and He has NEVER returned a single call I went to the State Farm office on September 13, to see Lane and try to have this settled I got no where He has yet to tell me the status of the check This issue has been going on for too long I just want my half of the check that should be refunded to me

My wife and I constantly get junk mail from state farm corporate, and their locally run offices in my area We have begged them for over a year to stop spamming us with this junk mailWe have contacted corporate and the local officesThe reps at the local offices claim that all marketing is decided by corporate, and they have no avenue to stop itNot only is this bothersome, but it is more paper with my wife and I's name and address on it for potential identity thieves

I cancelled my auto commercial policy that I had for about months, in order to obtain one with this Jim Diaz officeThis office did all the paperwork, sold me the policy which I paid in full, and even sold me a life insurance which was also paid in fullAlso, my personal vehicles were transferred to this office as per their request, in order to sell me the commercial auto policy and have all cars together listed in their officeAfter all this was done, proccessed and FULLY PAID TO STATE FARM, I received a letter from State Farm which stated that I was not accepted for the auto commercial policy and that it would be cancelled in a short period of time, (one month)I immediately contacted the office and I was told to look into and change my operation Classification as State Farm wasnt accepting it because of that- tbey even asked me for a letter from my emoloyerI had to change the Classification of Operation from Authorized for hire to Exempt for hire on my D.O.TI made the chan

With over years with State Farm and over vehicles insured with them in that time frame we are now leaning due to what we see as extremely bad business practices and extreme lack of customer serviceWe made the mistake of getting on Auto payAnd as many horror stories go, it’s never a good idea to do thisOver the past years with no accidents our rates have been going up up up On January that hit an all time extremeI noticed a larger charge on my accountA almost $a month increaseA month! When I called the corporate number I was passed around times to finally get a person who tells me my info is collected by third partiesAnd that info showed I drove over my policies allowancePlease note I do not have a “dongle” in my vehicleThe service person told me they couldn’t tell me any more but that I could be transferred again to a “privacy” departmentRemember this is all because I’m asking about why my bill went up $a year on one vechilceThe info I was given this time was again differentThis person tells me that a “bad” third party report was given to underwriting and that they apologized and I would get a credit next statementThis doesn’t end hereThe Next day I get a call from my local State Farm rep telling me in fact the rate increase was correctI asked why no communication, I did just call a month earlier asking why at that time my bill was high, I didn’t get a responseWhen asked how a $a year increase on a policy could be justifiedAgain no real answerI took to social media and told my friends of my situation without detail and asked for recommendationsAbout hours later I get a callIt’s now the State Farm independent owner of my local State FarmHe left a voice mail that I savedIn his voice mail it contained this “I hear your bashing us on Facebook, and I just want you to now that won’t get you anything...”Not really a way to help a year customer with no claims? I would love to file a complaint but it seems the way State Farm has their business plan set up, their customer service from a corporate stand point is zero

I am contacting you upon recommendation from the man I spoke with at the NICB today, his recommendation to contact both the Revdex.com & the Department Of Insurance came after I throughly explained my odd experienceIn short; I received an email stating that I opened an auto accident claim with State Farm in my name as the claimant, however, I didn'tInitially I thought the email was perhaps standard or an errorI thought this because I was in an auto accident on the date they have used for the claim in this email, however, when I forwarded the email to my insurance agency (***) asking what it was/why they informed me that they had no idea why I received that from State Farm and that I should not have and advised me to contact State FarmI sent two email throughout the day to them as a 'reply all' and have heard nothing backIn my response email I requested clarification as to why I had received this email from State Farm, nothing moreI've not gotten any replyAdditionally, I hav

Terrible communication, never respond to emailsImpossible to cancel policies online

In march I received a call from business owners establishment stating that they are having an issue with my credit card and are not able to process my March Payment for car insurance I have auto payment and have not had a single problem I called my credit card and they stated that card working I called back State Farm and reviewed the credit card information They stated that " a number was off in the credit card " ( could not be because I had auto pay and never had a single problEm with the insurance ) But I went along with what they stated Updated my card for them Ella stated everything is fine - she made necessary adjustment Come May I get a call from " State Farm office Eugene this time " who says the the insurance is over due and I have to pay the late charges and insurance I went over with her my conversation with Ella and how she reviewed everything and I couldnt u derstand how come there was in issue of the owner herself correct the issueAn issue that

Have had State Farm for over Years When applying for the policy, it was required to pay a deposit and a premium It was in the contract and made known that there was a day grace period Have received a notice from State Farm there will be no premium for November Upon calling the local office, was told they had applied the initial deposit to cover the November payment That a premium would be due in December When I asked about the day grace period, I was told it had been changed to daysThis little tidbit was not in the notice from State Farm I feel this is fraud to take something away and change a contract and not let the policy holder know

For the payment of body injury in a car accident ( for missing work and hurting, $)they asked my SSNI did some research that I shouldn't give my SSN to them I requested them to give me the federal or IL Law or regulation that I have to give them SSN for this payment and them just ignored me
