Sincerely, Microsoft Corporation Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2014/09/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept this response as this has been an ongoing issue. I have spoken to customer support, first to cancel the account with Xbox and then on several occasions to get my refund. The support team, some rude explained that I would need access to the email address or phone number that was used to set up the account 6 or 7 years ago. I do NOT have the email account. It was probably deleted over the years. The phone number is my home number but it is a landline so they cannot text me a code that they insist I need. Mu issue is this, the person I originally spoke with found my account, deleted my credit card information and then sent me an email detailing that my refund would be credited to my account. I have that email and I have sent it on with other correspondence included to Microsoft on July 12, 2014. I have received no response. My name, address, home phone has not changed in 15 years. I can't believe that they would not have any information on me regarding this account. Additionally, I have my credit card statements that they have charged every year. I wonder where this money goes that they take from customers. Is there fraud going on? I will not be satisfied until my refund is applied to my credit card. Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 11, 2014/09/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Once again Microsoft is giving the same information regarding my account. They are ignoring what I have told them, which is I do not know account information. The account was opened under my name with my credit card info. There employee [redacted] found my account, deleted my credit card and emailed me that my refund was forthcoming. I am frustrated as I have been dealing with this since May. As I've said before my address hasn't changed, nor has my name so I'm sure they can find the account info they need. The email address that [redacted] contacted me through is [redacted] @aol.com. My son's user name was [redacted] on Xbox. This is all info that I have given Microsoft. I would appreciate it if they would stop with the run around! They had all my info and their employee deleted it. They need to be responsible! Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 28, 2014/10/08) */ Dear [redacted] ***, Thank you for contacting Microsoft Corporation via the RevDex.com regarding your request for a refund. Our refund team investigated your issue and discovered that our refund system failed to complete the refund process as you mentioned in your claim. We apologize for the long delay in completing the promised refund to you. Our refund team has now started the refund process, and indicates the refund should be completed within the next 3 business days. In some circumstances, the refund may not go through for up to 30 days depending on your financial institution. Please update your claim when your account balance reflects the refund.
