Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I lost all my clients tax returns, translations, immigration letters all because of unqualified tech II that gave a trojan virus access to my computer after she was told multiple times not to allow access.  My computer was encrypted and my files were held for ransom because of her negligence.  I could no longer work off of that computer due to constantly being logged out of government websites in doing my work.  Non of my files were retrieved and I paid over $1500 for a computer tech to clean my computer from the virus and attempt to retrieve my files which were not retrieved.  I had to spend over $3000 to purchase a new Apple computer because of a rude unqualified tech who cost me several thousands of dollars as I lost clients due to her negligence. Each time I called I was told I had to pay even though it was their mistake and always the same result no one at microsoft was able to fix the issue.Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
As was noted in my complaint, I am concerned that my Microsoft Office 365 software will be deleted. There is information elsewhere in the Skype delete instructions that other Microsoft programs will be deleted when the Skype program is deleted. You will note here in this complaint response from Microsoft staff that they have informed me that the Office 365 program will not be deleted. I have made note and written down the Revdex.com  phone number in case I do lose access to my computer because  I may have to call you about this.
Sincerely,

Dear [redacted],
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Corporation via the Revdex.com regarding an issue with charges to your account. With the information you provided in your claim, we were able to locate your account and view your order history. While we can see that you are being...

billed monthly for your Xbox Live subscription, your account order history does not show a purchase for 12 months of the service. As well, the subscription details on your account show you are only subscribed for one month at a time. This may explain why you were prompted to pay the yearly fee.
There are a few possible situations here. If you have a alternate account, or perhaps a family account, that the 12-month subscription order may have been purchased on, please provide that and we will look further into the subscription and order history. As well, there may have been an error in which the order did not go through, and therefore the 12 months were not successfully purchased, which is why it did not show up.
Please include any additional information that you can in your reply and we will assist in any way we can.
Sincerely,
Microsoft Corporation

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I tried to reach them back via e mail to let them know to contact me anytime and have not heard back. Please have Microsoft contact me again.Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
There is no resolution in response. They have offered me 2 resolution:
1.) Take laptop to local vendor. why would I take laptop to local vendor and risk out my data for infosec breach. if microsoft cannot fix it or recover it how would local vendor fix. Remember business is saying microsoft cannot fix their own operating system by someone else outside microsoft can? This does not make sense and also risk out my data to local vendor.
2.) $150 coupon and my equipment back. My computer has following configuration
Intel i5 processor
4 GB RAM
17.1 inch display
500 GB hard drive.
They are offering $150 coupon (not cheque) for high end laptop which they have broken and on top of that my valuable data lost - which is priceless.
I do not want $150 coupon...just repair my laptop and return back. I am also ok with business providing refurbished laptop and my HDD back.
Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com:I have not seem the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me. Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/08/04) */
Hello,
My name is [redacted] and I work for Skype Customer Relations Office. My duties include responding to customer complaints.
I received your complaint from Revdex.com that you have experienced issues with Skype. I'm very sorry to read that and I will...

gladly assist you further.
As the initial payment method for the Skype Number subscription, you have used Skype Credit (Order # XXXXXXXXX). All Skype subscriptions are recurring by default and from the same payment method as set up initially, unless it has been changed. Therefore, since the Skype Number was funded from Skype Credit, but there wasn't enough credit for the payment but Auto-Recharge option was active, there were Skype Credit orders triggered to get enough Skype Credit balance for the Skype Number payment.
You can read more here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA571 and here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA178
I have unblocked your Skype account now as well and you will be able to use the paid services again.
I hope this response has been helpful.
Again, we apologise for any possible inconveniences caused by this.
I appreciate your patience and understanding.
Kind regards,
[redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/08/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The phone number XXXXXXXXXX still cannot receive or make calls. I have a Skype [redacted] and about 10 emails from Skype saying that they were trying to verify me and that because they couldn't verify me that they disconnected my phone line. It seems that your company is covering up a major screw up.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2014/08/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
What is my consideration for the two months that you had deactivated my $2.75 cent per month subscription? I can't even imagine how much lost business I have had. To turn off my line without calling me, when I had plenty of money on my card nad I had skype credit, really hurt my enterprise. Please let me know what your offer is...
Final Business Response /* (4000, 25, 2014/09/15) */
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
We have provided Skype Credit vouchers as an apology in one of the previous correspondence. As explained, in case we receive charge back requests or notifications from financial institutions regarding payments in our system, it's a requirement to suspend the account for investigation to prevent possible fraud. This is done in order to protect the personal information of the account owner.
I hope this response has been helpful.
Again, we apologise for any possible inconveniences caused by this.
I appreciate your understanding.
Kind regards,
