On 6/21/$and cents was charged to my account for repair/replacement services to my pool motor Leslie's scheduled me for Friday 7/6/to replace the Pentair motor This appointment was more than weeks from when I called I took the appointment for servicesI called within a day of making the appointment to cancel because I found someone who would charge less plus they had better customer service scores online I was finally able to reach someone who said the appointment was ALREADY cancelled Nonetheless, I asked for a refund on July 2nd or 3rd but I still have not been credited the $I have called numerous times with "promises" to call back but no one has called Nor do I have a refund
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would
be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved

I ordered a lb bucket of Pool Supply World chlorine tablets and was not sent the correct itemIt was replaced by a cheaper version and this is not what was advertised
I bought a bottle of chemicalsWhen I got home, most of the chemicals were leakedI called them and they told me soonest I walk out of the door they are not responsible for anythingThey did not warn me to keep the bottle straight upThe lid was not tightIt cost me dollars but they would not do anything and manager was very rude for explaining
I hired Leslie’s to close my inground pool in the winter of They closed it in the morning while I was at workWhen I returned home that night I could hear a buzzing noise from the pump area to realize that they didn’t turn my equipment off at the breaker box next to the timer boxMy Hayward pump ran for 6-hours with no water in itI called them the very next morning to report it and they apologized and said if I have any issues when I open it in to call themI opened the pool on Wednesday 5/23/to find that the pump would only make that same buzzing noise it made when it was left on, then it would shut itself off after a few secondsI called them to report it and I had to fight with them to get them to my house earlier than a week out so my pool wouldn’t be a swampThey sent the same service man who left my equipment running in today Saturday 5/26/He determined that the motor bearings are bad due to rust and ageNow my pump sounds like a loud air compressorA
I am writing about a negative experience I had ordering a product with the company's website I have submitted a letter to Leslie's Pool supply which explains the experience in detail:
I am writing in regards to an order I placed online on 6/6/(see order number) I was first told by clerk at store in Phoenix (Tatum/Greenway) that skimmer net parts "were not sold in stores" and "had to be ordered online" So, I ordered what appeared to be a net attached to a collar (cuff) - that is what the picture showed The price listed was $(reduced from $29.99) and I thought that was a fair price for net and collar I ended up paying $in shipping and $in tax to a full total of $ I received the item in a large box (item was in a x inch baggie) and box was x x foot There was NO receipt, or instructions on how to return When I realized that I had noticed only a cuff, I was very disappointed to say the least, and immediately needed to return item I referred to email on how to return item, but learned that I would be subject to paying a 15% re-stocking fee in additional to $in shipping!! I then went back into store and explained this to store clerk (different clerk) who very eloquently explained that the clerk who talked to me previously was "new" and "made a mistake" He then told me "sorry about that", and did offer to take the cuff back but only could give me "$8.00" for it He said that was store policy, since it differs from online purchasing After some careful consideration, I decided to return cuff for $and purchase a new skimmer net for $plus tax( I had previously decided to keep cuff and buy a net so I could attach them together to old handle, but wasn't able to due to rivets, so I returned both net and cuff The clerk then sold me new skimmer net after crediting me for return of cuff and net) I am just disgusted that the company would sale something that was not as indicated on their webpage and then charge return shipping of $instead of $7.95, and not allowing a simple return to the customer's satisfaction I identify the following problems:
1) No receipt in box
2) Over charge in shipping - it shouldn't cost $to ship something lightweight and small from Phoenix to Phoenix
3) Re-stock fee on small item Totally unfair to customer You don't charge this in your store unless it is a large item
4) Misleading advertising- The item was listed as a Resh cuff, but has a picture of cuff attached to net
5) Inexperienced staff!- who don't know all the answers (with exception to JNations)
I expect to receive my money back I paid $on a part of an item I will NEVER order online again!! I would accept store credit I will be submitting this message to Revdex.com
Sincerely,
Chris Castle

The most unreliable and unprofessional company that I have ever dealt withEvery single time I have scheduled a service call, they can't keep it and have one excuse after anotherMost recently, I had scheduled a pool closing several months in advanceI received a confirmation email and phone call; then they never showed up or calledWhen I called to ask what the status was, they indicated that they couldn't reach their technicianThey also informed me that I was the only service call that morningThey did call me back later on to indicate that the technician doesn't work if it's sprinkling out! They have total disregard for customer satisfactionThey cannot retain their help, and their employees appear to have very low moraleNo one seems to know what they're talking aboutYou could ask three employees working together and get three different answersOn one occasion when I used them for a pool opening, they 'forgot' to put in the filter cartridges in the pump housing (even though they were left in plain sight) and also 'forgot' to take out the drain plugs and put in the eyeballsThey also have a tendency to break things and then make up an excuse that it was like thatI will NEVER use this company again and will NEVER recommend them to anyoneI will be happy to pay a little more with another smaller company in the future if it means better customer service
I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with leslie's pool repair service on March 4thIt took a week to even get a technician out to the houseI was told a part would need to be ordered for the pump I purchased through you company and a rush on the part would be requestedI was contacted for my follow up installation and was told the technican could not install the part until March 20th - days after my first call because there were absolutely no available technicians available until then and that no rush was requested with the part orderI spend hundreds to thousands of dollars annually at Leslie's and have never experienced such slow and lazy serviceI cancelled my follow up appointment and will not be spending any more of my money at a store who does not value customer service
I was disappointed how they diagnosed and handled a repair to my heater I had them come to repair our pool heater which would kick on, but after the burner lit, would immediately turn back off The first visit ($150) diagnosed the problem as the motherboard It was replaced but did not fix the problem The second visit (no charge) diagnosed the problem as the internal gas value ($500) This was replaced ($in labor) and was operating when they left Less then a week later the same problem returned They responded (no charge) and discovered the gas pressure value that feeds the heater was acting up After an adjustment to the external value, the heater has operated properly I discussed with Mike, who checked with the owner, that I felt a significant refund was in order I was willing to pay $of the $of total charges, which I thought was quite generous, given the problem was very likely misdiagnosed He would only refund the first service visit I told him I was disappointed in their response and would follow up with a review online I believe these kind of issues can arise, the issue I have is for the sake of good customer service and fairness, I would have expected them to facilitate a much better refund
My husband and I purchased a pool from Leslie's in April of Since the purchase of this pool we have been in constant contact with both Leslie's and the Installation company contracted by Leslie's to install the pool We made numerous calls to express our concern and dissatisfaction and received nothing in return I will start with the delivery of the pool We had received everything but the pool pump and filtration system We waited until a few days before the install date to contact Leslie's because our packing list clearly showed the item did not ship so, to us, that meant back ordered, so we waited until about days before the installation to call the store to find out where our filter system was? The store manager made some phone calls to the corporate office and to their warehouse and she was told we received it, we signed for it so, we received it I told her we did not sign for it and it clearly shows on the packing list we did not receive it It came down to the
Regarding Complaint #ORIGINAL DATE 6/18/2018--Below is the ORIGINAL COMPLAINT
LESLIE'S POOL ACCORDING TO THE BELOW RESPONSE, WHICH IS COPIED AND PASTED BELOW THIS COMPLAINT, A LESLIE'S POOL REPRESENTATIVE WAS TO CALL (REACH OUT) AND RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINTNO REPRESENTATIVE CALLED, AND THIS COMPLAINT WAS CLOSED, WHICH I DON'T UNDERSTANDTHERE WAS NO CALL, SO THERE WAS NO RESOLUTION
ORIGINAL COMPLAINT--I brought my pool pump motor to Leslies Pool supply store to replace a seal that started to leakIf you buy the parts they will install for freeThey replaced the sealWhen I got home I noticed a brass washer was sticking out the vent slotI took it back to them and they re-did itWhen I put the motor back on it started making a loud crunching grinding noiseI quickly turned the motor off.I went back to the store to tell them about the problemThe man who did the work was not there.A store employee named Terry called me the next day to solve the problem. He told m
RIP OFF ALERT - They did a warranty replace on a pool pump motor months agoThe cheap replacement burned up today and the won't warranty the replacement
Purchased a pool online and found the manufactures made pool wrongI have tried to contact Leslie pools customer service and spoke to about people and keep on getting passed around to someone elseI was even told to call the manufacturer and was getting the same resultsIt's been two months and was last told to go to my local storeI did and spoke with the store manager and agreed that the pool is manufactured wrongI now am trying to return the pool and get a full refund of $The local store is in possession of the poolI was told to wait for an "RMA number" and it was suppose to be sent to me in 48-hours it is well over this time frame and I still have no number or more importantly the refund!
I have received a faulty recommendation from Leslies staff to treat my pool for the first time and now it is completely amber brownI have called and left messages at Corporate several times and no one has called me back! When I brought my sample in, the girl in the *** Ca store did not test for metals which my water has If you add chlorine to water with metals in it will turn brown! The girl did not test for metals and I told her that I had metals in my water nor did she tell me not to treat the water until I clear up the metals Leslie Pools claims they test for metals I put my trust in this company and now I have absolutely NO support from Corporate and I have a pool that I cannot use a week before my son’s high school graduation! I treated my water with the Pool service recommendation and now I have a huge mess on my hands and NO ONE FROM THE CORPORATE headquarters are assisting me with my problem
We used to buy a lot of things for our pool at Leslie's, from footies to chemicals, until recent Not planning to use them anymore
We got a big problem with our pool water this yearSo, we went to Leslie's to test out water and get a treatment, since they claim to be expertsThey are NOT!!! My husband spent a lot of money there and dumped dozens of pounds of chemicals, according to their recommendations, but they water kept getting worse and worseWe ended up pouring the whole amount of water out and starting with fresh track-delivered water all over againWasted a lot of moneyNow, talking to experienced neighbors, who had taken care of their pools for years and avoid going to Leslie's, since they are not responsible for their recommendations nor the outcome of themThey just make sure to sell as much chemicals as they canToo sad
On a bright side, the personal is niceNo complaints there

I contacted Leslie's Pool to replace a valve on my pool filter They told me there would be a charge of $to come to my house and the labor charge was $ When the service technician completed the replacement, which took approximately minutes, I was told the labor was $ When I questioned the double labor charge I was told that Leslie's tries to cheat them by giving the wrong labor charge during the scheduling of the appointment This is certainly deceptive and if I had known the labor was $I would not have scheduled the repair
I then called the service department to complain about the incorrect labor charge and was referred to someone who I was told would take my complaint When I talked to the customer service person I was told she would need to refer me to someone else and that someone was the original person I talked to who wanted to refer me back to the other person This is an effective way to stop complaints

Days ago I bought Leslie's Hardness Plus, lbs., I have now been days stirring it in warm water and am still trying to get it dissolvedThis is a terrible product, and after calling the Jones road location where I bought it , the sales person told me yes it takes or days to dissolve, He should have told me that and I would have bought the ready to use stuffI have been days and still can't get finished
This store and the others are usually better with recommendations and service

I paid LESLIE'S POOL SPLY GREENVALE NYUS$3,on 10-01-to fabricate a replica replacement pool cover
Upon paying for the pool cover on 10/1/I asked for my pool closing with the cover to be scheduled to take advantage of their early pool closing discount pricingThey said I would have to wait until my pool cover came in to schedule that, but don't worry we will take care of you at that pricing
I was asked and sent pictures of my pool to Douglas *** on 10/7/
When I picked up the pool cover I asked the store manager about scheduling againThe store manager asked if I could do him a favor, save him the extra phone call, and call the customer service number myselfI asked the manager if I would still have the discounted closing price which was approximately $He said I would and to simply tell customer service that the location told you to do it
I called customer service from Leslie's parking lotThey indicated that me calling was a breach in L
