I pleaded with customer service not to close the acct as I was only going to be days shy of the requested dayI set up consecutive payements in good faith of $each for them to with draw directly from my checking acct. As I was told they could not do anything to NOT close my card, the verbage in the attached document indicates differently. In the fourth paragraph it states "the account can be closed" NOT WILL BE CLOSEDit also notes "we MAY close your account with out notice" All I was asking for was to hold off closing the account as they were GUARENTEED consecutive payements.
This is poor customer service. I was not called back with the initial request when I asked to speak to a manager. I also informed *** when I spoke to her on the 10th that I am the only one working in the household and it is difficult to get in touch with me during working hoursmy lunch break changes daily due to lunch and learn hours at work. If I recall she completed her daily shift at or 430. She attempted to call me more time since than and I was workingI also have young children that need my attention at homeso all together she called me twicetime successfull, the other unsuccessfull
When I spoke to ***, she was mainly focused on trying to give me a new payment arrangementI clearly indicated in my complaint and to her several times that my main issue was the closing of my credit cardI am trying to rebuild my credit, not tarnish it more.. I do not see why they could not have held off days or hrs to close my account as they were GUARENTEED payment. I even suggessted to put the balance of my card on my mortgage so if the acct is going to be closed it would show closed with $0 balance
On another noteI am still extremely hurt with the comment made by the CSR on the initial daydue to our financial struggle we have had to seek outside help from family memeberswe are not behind on our mortgage that Chase holdsand the audacity for one to say "do you have anyone that you could borrow money from?" I think after a comment like that, and the obvious fact that I made the effort to set up a payment plan should be enough to get my account out of a closed status!!

Although my credit is impeccable, greed is Chase's goal, and they will sacrifice responsible customers with excellent credit scores in an effort to make more money.
