Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/08/28) */ Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have reviewed the user's case and account with our Fraud Prevention team. It appears that the user has returned multiple items that were credited within the app. This is a violation of our Terms... of Use. At this time, the account has been terminated for violating the Terms of Use. We will be unable to reverse our decision to keep the user's account suspended. Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/09/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The business doesn't have a means to return the rebates if items are returned. Therefore, they should give me the remaining balance on my account prior to their "termination." Business should "release" my account and establish a means to return rebates of items that are returned in the future. Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 21, 2015/10/20) */ We have reached out to the user through our Support Team. We were able to verify more returns, and after removing all returned items, 14.30 remained. As a courtesy to the user, we have allowed them to cash out the 14.30. We have not heard from the user after she accepted her funds. Please let us know if there is any further action we need to take regarding arbitration. Thank you. Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (2000, 23, 2015/10/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Hello, Thank you for your concern regarding your account, since you have chosen no resolution by Ibotta, we appreciate your feedback. Ibotta is grateful for the choice our users make every day to use our app. When outlying users violate our Terms of Use, this jeopardizes our relationships... with Brands and Retailers, potentially preventing us from continuing to provide high quality rebates and bonuses to the majority of our users. Improperly obtaining credit is taken very seriously by our teams and an account can be flagged and reviewed. We will always conduct a review in a timely manner and answer questions relevant to the account. Although not every account will receive a review, we strive to provide a positive experience for all users aligned with our Terms of Use. Thank you.

Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your accountOn 1/30/18, the user's account was locked from cashing out due to potentially tampered receiptsOn 2/1/18, the user's account was permanently deactivated for submitted tampered receiptsTwo pictures are included from the user's account of the tampered portions of the receiptWe also found that the user was sharing her receipts with her referralsSome times, the computer system will mark a receipt as "potentially tampered" due to a crease in the receiptTherefore, a user's account can be locked rather than deactivated, allowing our Team some time to review the receipt in questionUnfortunately, in this case, the receipts submitted by the user were intentionally tampered and our Team deactivated the accountPer our Terms of Use, Section 10.1, users may not submit purchase information that is considered one of the following: false, inaccurate, fabricated, counterfeited, tampered with, adjusted, or otherwise artificial or inauthentic for the purpose of seeking to redeem offers with Ibotta.Additionally, in Section 10.6, we state that users may not attempt to obscure the date on a receiptFor example, we do not accept submissions without any clearly legible date shown or without any date entirelyWe apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the user's cooperation and understandingThank you

Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your account. We have reviewed your account and all past correspondences with our Support Team. Unfortunately after several reviews, we have chosen to maintain suspension of your accounts. We have verified that you have attempted to refer at least... one account that uses the same account or purchase information. Per Ibotta's Terms of Use, Section 10.11, users may not exploit or attempt to exploit Ibotta’s referral bonus program in an effort to earn illegitimate referral bonuses or credit(s). This includes the following: inviting oneself on an additional account or inviting others who share the same mobile device.Users shall not be eligible to earn referral bonuses if they invite other users who share the same mobile device, create multiple accounts, or attempt to exploit our referral program in any way. Such actions violate our Terms of Use and provide clear evidence for Ibotta to terminate a user’s account, rescind any referral bonuses, or take any other actions as appropriate.Additionally, we verified that you have submitted receipts that were first submitted by another user. Per Ibotta's terms of use, Section 10.3 users may not upload receipts to Ibotta that have already been uploaded by you or another user (regardless of the rebates being redeemed by each user).Due to the nature of our business, we reserve the right to suspend accounts either temporarily or permanently if users violate any section of our Terms of Use.Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
I did wait the appropriate amount of time, and received no more response from the business. They repeatedly asked to do the same things I had been doing, and it was frustrating. If you expect better in terms of my attitude then please get on top of your customer service as it is sorely lacking. Additionally, I was only given the rebates and points towards certain promotions after I filed a complaint and refused your last resolution. I do not appreciate you wording an email that attempts to portray that you have been on top of your job all along, and that I am just some lunatic with an out of control mouth. You only awarded what was due in response to this complaint.
