At this time, I have been contacted directly by Handybook, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

 The company is not honoring the commitment its customer service representative made to cover the express in buying cleaning supplies which we were obligated to do after their cleaner did not show up last minute. At this point it appears the company won't resolve this.

I have heard this before from your company. I shouldn't have to ignore spam e-mail that has been sent against my wishes. I am unable to block them from my Inbox. There should be an option to unsubscribe on these e-mails. It shouldn't take months of complaints to have the issue resolved. Hopefully this time it is but I'm not holding my breath.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.   However, I dispute Handy's claim that the professional showed up and waited for an hour.  I was at home and I even texted the professional and received no response.  I probably have records of those texts demonstrating that the professional never responded.  The claim that the professional showed up and waited is false.

We're sorry for any frustration trying to cancel your service with us. You can cancel your service anytime directly in your profile page. You can also cancel any unwanted booking directly in your bookings page. When you signed up for service you selected to have...

bookings every 4 weeks. Unless you cancel your service bookings will continue to be generated based on the frequency selected. All future bookings have been canceled and the recurring cycle has been deactivated. If you turned away a professional for your October [redacted] booking per our cancellation policy the charge for the booking is nonrefundable.

I wanted to like handy because it was cheap and convenient, however this feels like a scam. If you ever have an issue with your service, the help team does not respond to any emails sent. I was also charged for a cleaning when I didn't have any scheduled, and they still didn't respond to my requests for my money back.
