Just recently had my roof repaired. This new roof has now motivated me to paint! Can't wait to see the finished product of what Feazel has started with this home improvement journey I have embarked upon! I am very pleased with the amazing job that TJ, Jeannie and Feazel in NC has done! Thanks guys!

Outstanding experience working with Feazel in North Carolina from start to finish. Professional, high quality work ethic with consistent and clear communication throughout my roofing project. Absolutely would stand behind my strong recommendation. Well done!

I actually just had my roof done by Feazel last Thursday, January 10th through Saturday morning, January 12th. I worked with T.J. J who offered (free of charge) to video tape my roof as well as take pictures. He then worked with my insurance company (Cincinnati Insurance) who then brought in a third party estimator to also take a look at the roof as well as TJ's video. About two-three weeks later my insurance claim is approved, payment is made by my insurance company, and a few weeks later, my roof has been scheduled. Just had my roof done within 2.25 days, and it looks beautiful. The project manager was at the house just as the guys were finishing and looked everything over. Very happy with the whole process.

Had a roof leak that developed under local winter conditions, and with a lot of backlog of local construction and repair work projects due to repetitive rains. Feazel inspectors diagnosed the likely cause of leak, as well as assessed need for sealing around skylights and vent caps, etc. Shingles have aged but still believed to be in good enough shape for time being. It took three tries to eventually determine that leak could not be fully repaired without replacing some shingles, some venting and cap material. Service man was patient and methodical to work through this process with us, and able to make final repairs needed shortly after our most recent rain front passed. Leak was stopped, work was done efficiently and site was totally clean when finished. All personnel we've worked with have been customer friendly and professional. Have passed their contact information and my comments along to two other neighbors so far, those who are considering roof work in near future.

Feazel did quality work in a timely manner on my home. I highly recommend utilizing this company if you need roof repairs or replacement. The pricing was also very fair for the work that was done.

I recently had new gutters, downspouts and gutter guards installed. I noticed a short gutter installed over the front door was tilted to the right towards the house, the drain pipe was on the left end. The water was draining down the house. Then upon inspection the shingles were not fitted flat under the gutters, and there was a bulge, the water could not drain into gutters correctly.

I called Feazel on Thurs 11/1/18. They would send someone out on Fri or Sat. No one came or called. Called them again on Mon. 11/5, Was told someone would call me back no one did. Called them again on Tues., Lisa said she gave the work order to Gordon, he was to call me to set a time to come out. No one came or called. It has now been one week, with no results. Still waiting, poor service, poor work.

We have been in contact with the customer since this complaint. Our General Manager reached out, apologizing for the missed appointment, and scheduled a follow-up in the morning the next day to have the gutter installer come out and take care of her issues. When he showed up he performed a walk around inspection to identify her issues. None were present so he went back and asked her to point out the issues she had. She stated she doesn’t know where the issue is, or what it is, but she wants it fixed. According to her another roofer came by and did a ground inspection and named several things that were wrong with the gutters, but she was neither able to provide that report, or show where the issues were. Installer did two additional walk around and was unable to find any issues. He notified her that everything looked good and she said she was satisfied at that point.

The salesman helped work with the insurance adjuster, and Feazel followed up with the insurance company by sending finished work pictures to the insurance company so I could get the final insurance payment. The crew was respectful and the roof looks great.

My wife and I were very impressed with Feazel. They helped us resolve issues with our insurance company, the crew was very efficient, and the house looks great. We are very happy with Feazel.

Excellent job on the roof. The workers worked diligently and thoroughly. Communication with Feazel was great. We love our new roof.

Feazel did a great job for us, they walked us through the process from the beginning to end. They came to all appointments on time. They met out insurance adjuster to walk the roof and worked with my insurance company to get the quote right. They did a great job installing the roof. First class all around.

Found everyone at Feazel; from their salesman Shane, the roof repairmen, to Lisa in their office to be very honest, knowledgeable and professional in all communications with both me and my insurance company resulting in a quick and professional job well done.

Luis and crew did an excellent job, working on probably the hottest day of the year. Good job cleaning up after the job as well. Surprised that the "Field Supervisor" for my job never came to the job site during the roof replacement, but perhaps that's normal.

Feazel did a great job repairing our roof. No more leaks!! :)

Complaint of poor work quality, poor communication, no follow up, less than honest.

I had contacted Feazel Inc. primarily due to their television commercials presenting a simple and quality based roofing company. I had called Feazel and Amanda shared she would have someone follow up with me soon. I was later contacted by Tony C.

On 7/21/2018, During our agreement meeting with Tony C, I had asked for a metal roof which was quickly ruled out by Mr. C and being problematic and not worth the effort to install them. In retrospect, I sincerely believe Tony and his crew did not have the expertise to install a metal roof.

I had walked Mr. C around my house and had pointed out to him my concerns of the roofing job completed by the previous roofing company.

The first concern was the major leaking around my chimney primarily due to the chimney holding large volumes of rain and snow during the winter months allowing moisture to seep in and leak into our living room and ruined our ceiling. I recommended a structure to be installed aft of the chimney to push and move the water and snow around the chimney to remedy the moisture problem.

The second concern was the poor workmanship of the previous workers that placed various types of unpainted and exposed metal around both dormers which was totally unacceptable and looked terrible.

The third concern was the valley above and to the left of the front door which needed to be evaluated as it was installed during the original roof installation. I had requested to Mr. C to have a rubber membrane to be used on top of the flat metal which was thick and strong but may have a leak. Mr. C said he would not recommend a rubber membrane but a similar and better material to stop any leaks.

The forth concern but just as significant was the use of contacting laborers which could not speak English as the last company used them and were without supervision. I could not communicate my concerns and the job was completed without my concerns being addressed and completed to my specifications. Mr. C shared he had worked with his crew for over 20 years and experienced no such concerns and that he would be there to supervise them. This this being promised I agreed to the contract. At $12, 900.00, I expected a professional and quality installed roof with effective communication. (My home is only a 22 Square Roof!)

On 8/30/2018, Feazel started installing my roof. I introduced myself to the roofing crew and found they were all Mexican and apparently spoke no English. I also observed them leaving the felt sheeting up and only removing the shingles. I intervened and demanded they strip the entire roof because I had wanted the wood underneath inspected and replaced as needed, due to dry rotting. Now acting imposed upon, the roofers proceeded removing the felt sheeting.

I noticed, Tony had not shown up and called Feazel to inquire his whereabouts. I eventually got a call from Mr. C stated he was busy and would arrive the following day. I did notice a female had arrived and observed her communicating to the roofers in Spanish. But she did not identify herself to me or my wife. She left a short time later. The roof was striped and several boards sections were replaced. I noted the boards were only being removed in small sections and leaving the larger portions of rotting wood left in place. In the garage area, I noted a small section of wood was replaced but the same piece of wood was left which was also severely rotted in place. Later, I observed the same rotted section had fallen away leaving a large gap. I pulled the foreman over and pointed him the hole but he said it was too late to fix it because they had already placed the felt down and were in the process of installing the shingles. I was perturbed the foreman who had previously presented not being able to communicate in English was able to clearly communicate it was “too late” and the “shingles were being installed.” I had called Mr. C again and left a message and shared my concerns about the rotted wood not being replaced in my garage and concerns elsewhere on the roof. I had again called Mr. C and asked him to make himself available today. Mr. C said he would be there by 2:00pm. The female from earlier in the day returned and I had shown her my concerns in the garage about the rotted wood not being replaced appropriately. Her response was, “Well it just happened!” I shared, it was a moot point when it happened but the concern was that it happened at all. She shared she would look into it.

The next day, the female and another male (Joe?) had arrived. The Joe had shared with my wife that the wood used was primarily around the chimney area. My wife immediately shared that information with me. I went into the attic and checked the work and had noted no new wood had been installed around the chimney area. I was then very concerned about the honesty of the Feazel staff. Later, the female approached me and shared that the roofers had removed 3 layers of felt off the roof which was why the dumpster was so full. I immediately realized that I was knowingly being misled by this female as I had already informed my wife Feazel had brought a half full dumpster to the house; plus, I had noted the removal and installation of the last three roofing projects over the last 30 years and every time the roof was stripped bare and a single layer of felt paper installed prior to the installation of shingles. I was very concerned with this pattern of knowingly misleading information by the Feazel Staff.

The second day, the felt layer installation was completed and the section of the bad wood was replaced in the garage. Yet several severely rotted boards were left in place in the garage. The shingles were installed but the vents for the garage were not. Mr. C was informed that morning about the vents not being installed yet but he did not appear to be concerned at this time.

By late afternoon, I observed the foreman to be having a concern working behind the chimney and communicating his concerns to the female. She and the other male, Joe approached me saying there was a significant problem with the installation of the “Cricket” and that a lot of work will be needed to install one. I asked why is it a problem at this time and not while the job was being started? The female shared it was not thought to be a problem until now but he would get the “Cricket” completed, but it may be tomorrow. I stated that was fine. As evening approached, I observed the foreman was covering the existing flashing with new flashing and was using large amounts of adhesive to cover the flashing. I was concerned because I was informed by Mr. C that the flashing would all be removed and replaced. It had gotten quite dark and the roofers were still on the roof and just starting to clean up the area.

The following morning, Saturday 9/1/2018, no roofers arrived. They left and two vents (for the garage) behind along with some vent boots. I also notice numerous Corona Extra bottle caps (8) around the items left behind. Either the workers were drinking on the job or while driving away from the job. Either is excusable.

I had walked around and noticed some very alarming concerns. The first was no structure or “Cricket” was even started. The back side of the chimney’s old flashing was covered over by the new flashing. Both dormers had the old original unpainted metal still displayed. They didn’t even replace the old flashing with new painted flashing. A vent at the back side of the house was left open and exposed to rain and moisture. I also noticed the valley above and left of the front door had shingles installed with roofing nails. Roofing nails now perforated the entire flat area and rendered the metal underneath useless. Based on the quality, or lack of, it appeared as if this was their first roofing job.

On 9/8/2018, rain had arrived and now my wife and I were wrapping towels around the large vent which was left open by the roofers because the Vent boot did not fit the vent pipe. Rain was pouring into the attic around the vent. I had sprayed two cans of Flex Seal to stop the leaking around the vent boot. The audacity to leave such a gaping hole and attempting using an undersized vent boot was beyond belief for a roofing company.

I called Feazel and complained about the leaking roof and the other concerns. Amanda with Feazel did offer to send the crew back out to make the repairs but the ongoing rain was not practical to be opening up any holes in the roof or was safe at that time. I also did not want the same crew returning. Amanda at Feazel was wonderful. She stated she would have both Tony C and Joe meet with me on Monday 9/10/2018.

On 9/10/2018, both Mr C and Joe arrived. (1) I pointed out the leaking undersized vent boot and the towels and cans of Flex Seal used to stop the leak. (2) Interestingly, I pointed out both dormers and use of the old metal still exposed and shared it was unacceptable. Both C and Joe shared that was common practice to use metal around dormers. I pointed at my neighbor’s house and said they don’t have metal showing. I then pointed at the condos on my other side and said they don’t have metal showing. I then pointed across the street and pointed at the dormers there and said they don’t have any metal showing. I said, “My house is the only one with cheap metal showing and I want it repaired. (3) I also pointed out the flat area above my front door and said Feazel crew used Shingles and nails on a relatively flat area and now destroyed the integrity of the metal barrier. Now the whole area needs to be completely redone because it will now leak! (4) I pointed out no structure or “cricket” had been installed and my understanding was a cricket was code in this area. Joe shared a cricket was already there. I reiterated no structure or cricket was there or installed and any structure there was purely the natural slop of the roof around the chimney and not acceptable with the history of leaks and damage to the living room. I concluded I was not pleased with the quality of work and this was not a roof conducive to a cost of $12, 900.00! I further stated I did not want the same crew back.

Mr. C stated he could have someone here on Thursday 9/13 or Friday 9/14. At this time, there have been no show or calls.

I personally believe that due to the poor-quality workmanship and current no show/no call that Feazel as well as myself understand that an entire roof will be needed within the next 5 to 6 years. Feazel is looking for a way to get out of this responsibility to guarantee the lifetime of this roof as they are more than likely to be out of business during this time.

Resolution:

Due to the poor quality of work, reimburse $3000 to allow me to secure a roofing organization capable to correct the concerns mentioned above. No further payment. Or Correct my concerns in their entirety in a timely manner on or before October 30, 2018. No additional payments will be made until which time my concerns have been corrected.

Sincerely,

***.

Revdex.com:

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find the resolution as partially satisfactory as numerous deteriorating and/or broken boards were only partially replaced. With the guarantee which FEASEL I will accept the resolution with the corrected.

Pricing far below competitors with quality work. Very professional and friendly sales and work crew. Excellent clean up at end of the job. No issues at all. Highly recommend.

I had a completely POSITIVE & pleasant experience with Feazel! (Especially after the bad experience I had with another company)
Very reliable and their work is top notch! Everyone I came in contact with was very professional & provided great customer service.

I watched during part of the removal and installation process, and the workers appeared to do a good job, including everything that was promised on the original contract. The job was completed in a timely manner, even though there was a very brief thundershower.
The only thing that could have been better is the price, as I still felt it was a a little high.

Communication with the company was not very good. Other than that they did get the job done and it was fine.

Raleigh crew did a fantastic job. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Every employee I dealt with was kind and courteous. The job was done well and in a timely manner
